I don't know why I keep going here
... probably thinking breakfast is better than "other" fastfood restaurants
Food was "okay"
But the main reason for the review.. the front doors and bathrooms were filthy.
For a 9:30. On a Sunday...this should be clean . However it looks liked nobody cleaned last night, this morning and probably won't clean again this evening.. this appears to be an ongoing theme with local Columbia Panera's.. My experience with the Greenville and Spartanburg restaurants-- along with other locations--- is typically much better.
CLEAN UP or close..Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Wendy N.Charleston, SC110050Oct 1, 2023
Horrible wait times at the window!!! Not sure if it's a staffing issue or poor service or both?! And we had to go back because we didn't receive drinks we paid for!

I went into the Panera on Killian Rd, ordered a warm chicken bowl, I can't remember which one. it was so unappealing to look at, I didn't want to eat it. The chicken was slimy looking, the bowl was barely filled with ingredients, it looked liked someone threw it all together.
Will NEVER order their salads again, disgusting.

Didn't actually get to eat here, 6 people behind the counter, yet sign said to use kiosk because of short staffing. Ordering for 6 people would have taken 20 minutes. Don't open your restaurant if you don't have staff, this was a worthless waste of time.

My daughter and I made a stop by here since this is the closest location to us. When we walked in, we were welcomed by a clean and very tidy location in comparison to the old Sandhills location.
We placed our orders on the kiosks and took a buzzer and waited on our order.
They have socially distanced tables and signs posted throughout.
Very clean and updated decor!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 12, 2021
I'm shook to be giving 3 stars because I've been to a bunch of different locations and Panera has been pretty consistent; except for this one!
I ordered via their kiosk. The kiosk asks for your buzzer number, which you grab from a stack.
SUGGESTIONS:
*Wait for your food by the pick up counter because there's a chance their buzzer will not work-- sitting on the comfy lounge chairs will be too far to hear them "call your name" which you won't know you'll have to wait for until you realize the wait is taking unusually long. (:
*Check your Tomato Soup for croutons and your Fuji Apple Salad for gorgonzola cheese.
I didn't catch the name of the second person who checked in on me when I finally came up to the pick up counter (first person didn't care), but she was kind enough to offer to warm up the soup before I walked away with the trays.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Kenneth C.Columbia, SC244145113Dec 28, 2021Updated review
Today was the first subpar day I have ever had at a Panera Bread. The server at the window was okay but didn't show half of the customer service skills that's I've seen at other places. To be transparent, I solely go to Panera because I prefer quality service and I'm willing to pay for it.
Moving on... they didn't have my meal ready and told me to pull up awaiting my meal. I complied and 12 minutes later I am now writing you this review to inform you that I am still waiting. I'm sure the meal will be fine (better be...) but the service combined with the wait is what made the WAIT worse. I'm not deterring anyone from going to Panera but I'll be taking a break from this one for a while. I'll drive an extra 20 minutes for quick service with a smile after serving my country for 15 years.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 29, 2019Previous reviewThis is my go-to restaurant. I freaking love Panera! This place keeps that feeling factual for me. The customer service is great. They check your rewards to see if there is a way to save you money and treat you with dignity and respect. The inside of the Panera is spacious and is pretty empty after rush hours. This is great for me because I love to come relax with my Green Passion Smoothie and enjoy my day. This place is a great alternative because it resides on an eatery strip filled with fried foods. They become an easy option for people trying to maintain healthy habits but know they deserve delicious food as well.
If I could ask them to improve anything, it would be the speed of the drive-thru upon exit. I don't mind waiting 6-7 minutes in line. I have a problem with waiting at the window to receive my food for 6-7 minutes. That can ruin the experience. - Samantha E.Cincinnati, OH217Mar 6, 2023

The sandwich's are usually very poorly made. The service is slow there is always a wait time in the drive through. The cost for the poorly prepared items is a bit high. I don't mind paying for good food. The seating area is very nice . That's the only thing nice about this location.
