Heads ups when shopping at Once Upon a child Fountain City

Triple check the merchandise you buy. They will not return items you bought with the receipt and tag still attached. They will say it is "final sale" even though EVERY post does not say including the receipt.

Then when you ask for the store manager/owners contact or when they are working next so you can bring up the issue to them they won't give it to you.

Horrible customer service by a manager with a "power trip." Then they will call the cops on you for refusing to leave the store because they won't return damaged merchandise they sold you.

There are four young girls working at this particular location that shouldn't be. I brought some clothing and toy items which where all like new and I think they thought I left but I stayed to look around and I noticed the young girl didn't even look at any of the toys I brought but lied and said she did. She only took one item of clothing. This place isn't a place to bring any items to sale anymore because after what I see here today blows my mind. The young girl did the same thing to alot more items that other people brought in as well.
Take your items elsewhere! I have been coming to this particular store for years but will not anymore. This aggravates me for a couple of reasons one some of the items I saw in the store that they have purchased was way overpriced and saw some toys that were broken and also stains on clothing. I would attach photos but for some reason my phone isn't letting me.

DO NOT use fountain city once upon a child. Their points don't even come close to comparing to the west location. FC location is awful to their customers and staff is not trained. We have had 2 gift cards loaded wrong at Fountian city location and if it wasn't for the wonderful manager at the west location I would have lost $400 not to mention they don't add your points even when you've asked because they aren't trained properly, so your getting ripped off by their point system alone as well as not getting points you earn.

Let me break it down we spent $300 at west location today I had %30 off so that brought it down to $210 which is a $100 savings almost AND I EARNED ANOTHER %30 off from what I spent alone today. Because they do their point system right if you know how to work their system you can save soooo much money!! Also because their terminal kept shutting down and I had to wait almost an hour to check out they gave me 20 extra points just being nice which means now I have 79 which is almost 2 trips for 30% off I'm telling y'all it's worth it to go past the fountain city location and go to the west one every time! We do not even use the fountain city location for emergencies anymore it's so bad

Just pass it up and go west. This store has not loaded gift cards properly. It was a $200 gift card and if west location hadn't helped and printed a receipt where they tried to load it, fountain city didn't even know how to run their machines to check it, or run it. I would not have gotten my $200 back if it was not for the west location. We give gift cards away so this could have been a huge promblem. I drive out west when I live 5 minutes from fountain city because I'm afraid they won't load my gift cards for my customers correctly. We also make sure customers know to support west location and not fountain city due to customer service. they don't manage their point system right (if you shop like us you can lose a lot of money I have 2 %30 off my total coupons for west, you can not even get that reward for fountain city) on top of the fact that rewards aren't even close to the west location what you get %20 off at west location you get a $5 coupon at fountain city and to me that says they don't care to reward their biggest shoppers and the ones supporting their store the most. I was personally told by the manager he had to kick the owners out of the store and tell them they were not allowed in and it would improve. Well I have given him almost 2 years if not more to "improve" before making this review as I know how hard it is for new businesses- a year later and no improvements! They act stuck up and snobby when you go in and you feel like you less than most of the employees. I will not even use this location for emergencies, not worth it. Also had multiple customers at west tell me they have had the same issues and even had clothes taken that they were not paid for. Just go out west and ask any customer about fountain city location- I have never gotten a good response, and I've commented with a while line out the door of people agreeing with me that fountain city is truly horrible. This store is unorganized as far as customer service and staff go. Watch their Facebook they have to post regularly to make sales where as west do not have to bother with that because they have the customer service and training to stand behind their business. Do yourself a favor and go to the west location.

I've been dying to come out here and see the new Once Upon a Child store because I've been to the one in Knoxville since I was pregnant. When you first walk in you think oh my gosh it's so nice it smells clean not a lot of people but the people were friendly. Under all that is a joke I was here at 11:30 it is 1:04 and my stuff still has not been entered into the computer and I'm still waiting on my items ridiculous I've left come back left why when the store is completely empty is it taking them so stinking long some of the girls are just standing around. Also when you go to look for clothes and the kids sections they're all half hazard no direction to the middle why on Earth can't the girls dresses be on one rack shirts be on another rack pants and skirts on another rack don't ask me I don't know. I will have to say that if you want to come to the store and sell your stuff be prepared to give up your entire Saturday sitting in the parking lot waiting on them. I will have to say this was not a recommendation I will give to anybody go to the one on Kingston Pike and Knoxville this was not worth the drive.

I would recommend this once upon a child over the other one off Kingston pike. I would say they only take certain clothing which is part of their manger's standards, however I do feel like some of their employees act snobby just like the one off Kingston pike. There is a couple of employees there that have always been sweet and helpful and that's the reason I go back. Their selection is a hit or miss and depends on what you are looking for. Make sure to bring your own bag and save money. Also, if you do want to sell stuff make sure it is in a container not a grocery or garbage bag.
