This is a great place to go with your family. I had a wellness event with my job. We used the Cypress room. I did a nice walk on the trail, had a nice picnic, and enjoyed the festivities of our event. It's a great outdoor place to visit

Y'all we love this park. It's a great place for some affordable family fun. It's $2 entry per person and there is a vast amount of space you gain access to once you pass the front gate. There are multiple trails to walk as well as a bike rental. They also have beautiful water features complete with paddle boat rental to explore the waterways. Probably the best part about this area is the splash pad area. Bring your swim trunks and let the kids frolic until they get worn out. There is also a water park called Whirlin' Waters as well that has a separate entry fee, but is also very worth it. Bring the family out. You won't regret it!

Stellar county park that offers shelters for rent, walking trails, paddle boat rentals, bike rentals, splash zones, dog park, big playground, volleyball courts tucked around fields, concession area, restrooms, some parts paved, and some off the beaten trail. Admission is $2 per person. There's also a Whirlin' Waters waterpark as well but with separate admission. Great area to go for a walk with various mileage, there's maps scattered about in case you need to return back to your starting point.
The pictures attached are from September yet still had the major company of mosquitos - like trying to bite through my pants - intense so make sure you spray some bug spray, tuck your pants into your socks, and wear a hat. Word of caution: be mindful of ticks. I once found a tick near my hip after one walk and another time my friend got one too, so a full body inspection is highly recommended. Stay safe and enjoy!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 103220802Oct 3, 2021
Love this state park. Great trails for relaxing walks, they have multiple types, like the on and off-road ones. It is not a beginner trail btw. We like coming early in morning and go to the off-roads one, Finn our dog likes smelling the outdoors and we like looking at the huge trees.
Our dog Finn loves the new dog park.
Does not care much for the dog waterpark.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Oct 30, 2021
I've been here several times in the last few weeks and have enjoyed it each time. It costs $2 a person to get in which is very reasonable. We have been walking the mile trail loop. It is paved and very nice. They have benches and trash cans along the trail as well as maps showing where you are within the park.
On our most recent trip, we found a cute painted rock someone had left along the trail. We moved it further along the trail for someone else to find.
There is also a big playground. It can be kind of busy during the day, even on weekdays. The bathrooms must be under renovation because they currently have some luxury porta potty trailers by the snack shack.
They also don't appear to be renting out the pedal boats at this time, I'm sure due to COVID restrictions.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 111166378Jul 13, 2022
Love taking my dog on the trails. When my kids weee younger we had a pass because they enjoyed the paddle
boats, the park and we'd fly kites in windy days. I've rented their buildings for reunions, talent contests and gatherings. Lots of things to do here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa D.Goose Creek, SC03Jun 20, 2023
Beautiful park with so much to see and do! Perfect for a walk on the trails, family picnic, walking your dog or water park. Love this park and highly recommend!

Awesome dog park. There's even a water park for the pupps to play in! Not as congested as the James island park and less dog fights.

My go to park to take my dogs too. The dog park and the trails are great and the $2 entry fee isn't bad at all. If you were to go more frequently the gold pass would be your best bet and it gets you into more than just Wannamaker. I know they have different events but I haven't never attended any even though I have been interested in them.

I love this park, and it was always great to take our dog too. Dislikes are the fact that they have so many bugs! I am constantly getting bit while out
