I haven't stepped foot inside a norms since high school since they closed down the one in SGV. Not a surprise to find this location hoping since there really isn't many around anymore.
Food was just as nostalgic as I remember.
The strawberry shortcake was soooo good!!! I would go back just to have a cup of coffee with the strawberry shortcake!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 2, 20248 check-ins
Looking for late night snack. Some in the party wanted dessert but half rack ribs had me at $5.99. Smaller portion but that certainly works for me.
There was a slight miscommunication in the party. Asked for chocolate cake and received chocolate shake. Manager who brought the shake said not a problem. Left the shake (no charge) and brought a slice of cake.
Normally do not come to this location but I appreciate the great service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jessica G.Santa Fe Springs, CA0144Dec 27, 2023
I ordered our food for pick up Christmas Day and I could not be more disappointed when we returned home to eat. I ordered the country fried breakfast and eggs, a bigger better breakfast sandwich with a hot chocolate, a 6 oz sirloin steak and eggs, and a 1lb porterhouse steak and eggs. For paying $83 you'd expect for the food to be cooked the way you ordered and for the order to be correct! First, they gave us coffee instead of hot chocolate. My daughter bites into her better breakfast sandwhich and basically raw egg yolk starts dripping all over the place making her gag! Gross. Which I specifically made a note to have it scrambled. My porterhouse steak was medium rare and I ordered it well done. I called and spoke to a supervisor or manager named Ricardo. He tells me they can't do anything but if I want to go back, they can make the food all over again. What a waste of time!
He then says to come back and ask for Araceli.
Today, my husband goes to ask for a refund and Araceli gives him 2 options.
1. They can make the food again
2. They can give us a certificate for a certain amount to eat there another day.
How pathetic! At this point I don't even want their food.
I wouldn't recommend a pick up order. Most likely they'll mess up your order and you'll be out of the money you spent for crappy food.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2023
Was surprised I had to wait even though a lot of tables were open around 6 pm. They were certainly understaffed at the time so don't really blame them. Service was pretty slow and had to flag down the waiters whenever I wanted something. In terms of the food I tried out these.
Gumbo and salad - Decent appetizer, gumbo was tasty although not too different from a canned one. Salad was plain but otherwise refreshing. (3/5)
Cajun Tator Tots- A must get for an appetizer. Good flavors and was crispy. Came with a noice sauce. (5/5)
Country fried chicken breast - One of my chicken breasts was almost inedible and rubbery, most likely overcooked to no tomorrow. Besides that inedible piece the dish itself was Alrite. Baked potato was good. (2/5)
Classic sirloin steak trio - Asked for medium rare and got more like medium/ well done. A tad salty and steak was Alrite. Crispy shrimp was good though. (2.5/5)
Not sure why I was craving this but I finally got to try it out. Will I be back? Most likely not since prices aren't even that cheap anymore. Spent about $46 for mediocre food. Long waits as well.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - 411861195Jul 8, 2023

- clubhouse sandwich, socal breakfast , pancake, coffee
Service: great, beyond my expectations , our serve Elizabeth was friendly, polite, professional, and great service. Another male server with a hair bun, I saw him provided an excellent service with other tables as well.
Ambiance: casual, and super great for family
Price: good
Food quality, very good, especially the super crispy hash brown and onion rings. Loved the clubhouse sandwich

Norms is no longer 24/7 at least for this location, although the advertising still says they are!
Still a solid diner though. Can't go wrong with a club sandwich or cheeseburger. Good amount of fries. They come with ranch, not ketchup. I always find interesting they have their own ketchup brand, not heinz!
This location is surprisingly big. Didn't look like it from outside. High ceiling, looks clean.Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0 - Valeria A.El Monte, CA012Apr 28, 2024
