Established in 1992. Moonlight Brewing Co has been nestled in the heart of Santa Rosa. For over 27yrs this brewery has been brewing, kegging, delivering and now canning the iconic Death&Taxes that put Sonoma County on the map in San Francisco and the Bay Area. The San Francisco Style Black Lager is not the only beer you will find. Try other flagships like Misspent Youth Pale Ale, Twist of Fate Red Ale, Bombay by Boat IPA, Reality Czeck Czeck Style Pils! Starting as a one man shop it has grown to employ 13 staff and remains steady in it's brewing process since the day it started. All the beers are treated with a gluten eating enzyme which makes them all very low on the gluten index. Swing by the taproom and check out the difference. Quality not quantity. Cheers!

I don't think you would be turned away, but it is small and would not be ideal for kids.

By far my favorite brewery in the area, as a fan of dark beers there Death & Taxes is by far my favorite beer.

The staff is always friendly and makes you feel at home, they have small TV's to watch whatever game may be on. Sometimes even a food truck onsite.

The place is always clean I highly recommend coming here for a few pints!! Cheers!!!!

This is in addition to my prior review. Beer is still outstanding. Staff continues to excel.

This post is for their Wednesday night pub trivia (King Trivia). This is easily the best run trivia in Sonoma County. Quizmaster Matt is the constant professional and is great at his job. The contest is run on cell phones, so you don't have to deal with turning in pieces of paper. There usually is a food truck on site, so you'll have tasty food to go along with excellent beer & a fun couple of hours. I've been to a handful of pub trivia sites in the area and this is by far the best option.

Absolutely love this gem off the beaten path. Always friendly service and fantastic beer with a rotation of food trucks. Fall is great time to enjoy the ambiance of some fall color with a pint or two of the seasonal special Boney Fingers.

Moonlight Brewing was a real hit with Steve and myself! We had their totally awesome dark lager known as Death & Taxes. The flavors and lay out for this beer were just phenomenal with it's roasty and coffee flavors this beer was just so very fun to get into. With it's smooth and light body in addition this sent us both to lager heaven and just really made our evening. We enjoyed it so much we ordered another Death & Taxes. Excellent start with Moonlight Brewing and if all of the beers are as good as the one we had it definitely deserves a five star average across the board.

Immensely enjoyed the dark lager, Death & Taxes!

Love their "dark"beers. Reality Czech is my fave dark pilsner with Death & Taxes close behind. And they're about to release "Side of Rice" rice lager. If you haven't had a rice lager, they are lighter than wheat-based beers, and completely gluten-free. Though the beer tender told us that the beers are as close to gluten-free as they can be. A customer, who is celiac was there and he says he can drink it without a reaction.

In a commercial park as many breweries are. Tables outside, music inside, typical parking lot scene. The Boucherie Cajun and French eats pop-up booth has creative good food. We had Black Eyed peas with cornbread, sweet peppers and elusive truffle oil. Unusual and yummy- a bit sweet for us but probably not for many people.

We're coming back for a Side of Rice soon!

I visited for the first time on Saturday. We were doing the beer week passport thing. Neil helped us and was super hospitable from the moment he walked up. We told him it was our first time there and he gave us a kind welcome! The brewery was in a cool industrial part of town and was very secluded. Lots of tables and outdoor seating as well! I'll definitely come back now that we know there's good beer and nice beer tenders.

Great spot & great beer! The beer is so tasty. There's an indoor and outdoor (under a tent) seating. There was plenty of board games and a shuffle board to entertain the group.

      Moonlight goodness
We were visiting a few of hidden micro breweries and found Moonlight brewing co. Interesting Vibe. It hosts an old warehouse building that just oozes character. Inside, you see concrete floors, graffiti walls, and rustic decor. It was not very busy when we arrived-but we were welcomed with a smile.

Large seating area and bar area. We played shuffle board, ordered a few beers, and visited with two other dog owners. Our favorite beer: BLACK TO REALITY/. Black Pilsner. Try it!

Perk: They serve Gluten Reduced Beer!

Fantastic beer and friendly staff. We can't wait to visit again. Death & Taxes is one of the best beers we've ever had. We can't get it where we live do we stocked up on our visit.
