MOD Pizza

Came here for the first time. Ordered takeaway of their large Calexico pizza and upgraded to the thick crust. Also ordered a build-your-own pizza. Balance came out to approximately $25.

What's hot
- Quality. Pretty good. Our Calexico pizza actually had a spicy kick, which is what we wanted. It's not easy finding places that follow through on their menu description, so that was nice. The pizza was warm and flavorful. The crust wasn't soggy and it had a nice texture. Our salad was delicious, as well.
- Portions. Not bad, but not enough for sharing depending on the size of your group. A good amount of toppings, as well, which was nice. All the ingredients we ordered for our salad were included with enough to share. No skimping.
- Menu variety. Pretty good variety, which is nice. They have more than the standard options, including things like artichokes, peppers, garlic, a variety of cheeses, meats, veggies. It appears that they may be vegan friendly, too, which is helpful.
- Price. Pretty reasonable for what you pay for. Just be prepared this place is less for big groups and sharing.
- Service. Our food was ready, packaged, warm and waiting when they said it would be ready. Definitely appreciate their timeliness. When I gave them the name for the order, their staffer had no problem finding our food. Efficient and effective.

What's not
- Crust. Their mega crust isn't as thick as we liked, but it's not bad. Just be prepared that they really don't have a good thick crust option.
- Portions. Not bad, but not great. It was enough for hubby and I to share, but not enough for us to get full. It was a good thing we ordered a salad to go with our meal.
- Parking. Depending on the day and time you come, parking is not always going to be easy in this plaza. For that reason alone, I'd recommend take away.
- Health and safety. When we arrived to pick up our order, I noticed that none of their staff wore masks. During this time of the pandemic, when things are uncertain, we appreciate businesses that take extra precautions, because they interact with the public.

Pretty good and will probably return.

We are down to two, but this place remains unreliable when it comes to service or timeliness. When there is a hankering for MOD, I always give the estimated completion time another ten minutes or more because they never get a pizza done in the time the app says they will.

Firstly, the service was top notch. That is a big deal for me because it is becoming so rare. Especially, at a franchise restaurant. There were 3 employees there and all were warm and friendly. The guy who made my pizza even took out his phone to show me how to add my points to the app. Second, Mod has never disappointed. I am a vegetarian and there are so many yummy options. I love it! The No Name Cake is heavenly, and I tried the strawberries and cream version today, too. Woah...... outstanding!!

Delicious, gluten-free pizza. Awesome cheese and wonderful service. Chris was over and above in accommodating us. I highly recommend.

I think they have changed their gluten free pizza dough as it tastes more salty and bean flour. Not as good!

i walked in and the staff was really welcoming and sweet. It was my first time there so I wasn't sure how it worked but the staff was really sweet and patient in guiding me through how it worked. Jay in particular was very nice to me and approachable. On top of that the food was delicious. Will definitely be going there again.

Mod Pizza is like Pieology in the sense that if Pieology was 101 then MOD Pizza is 201. I did not know this when placing my order online. When I went to pick it up I was surprised. We were expecting larger pies and had to double it to feed everybody. They were able to take care of it quickly and get me on my way. While I waited though I noticed the creme soda in the cooler and took one with me.

Okay so there are so many pizza places around this area! I mean the whole build your own pizza and make it in a brick oven is almost a fad right now. There are simply so many places to choose from.

We love a good pizza spot but what makes this place different from the rest is truly the customer service from the employees, specially a young man by the name of Fred.

You all want a lesson on top customer service, go on a day this young man is working. Have a great day! How are you all doing? Is there anything I can get you? Thank you?

I mean simple manners and this was by far the best experience for us.

Everything was good. But when you have good people around it's almost as if your food is that much better.

We even came back days later just to get more!

On our second visit I made it a point to tell the manager about Fred and our good experience.

If you're in the mood for pizza, stop here. Don't go anywhere else. This is a place to frequent.

Food was great and their help was outstanding. They helped explained everything to us as it was out first time and provided amazing service. They created a friendly environment and provided great food. Jay was especially helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

MOD pizza at 15511 Annapolis rd., Bowie M.D. I will NEVER go there again...I was rushed with nobody else in the store!! I wasn't greeted, there was no explanation about the different sauces, when I asked about a vegetarian meat choice I was swiftly told that there was none...I simply felt like the employees didn't want me there. Even at the end of the experience, I asked about the finishers, to no avail...the representative chose to point at the menu (which explained the finishers) rather than tell me. Again, I could see if the store was packed and they were in rush mode...but I was the ONLY one there ordering!! @modpizza I was truly disappointed. The thing is...this brands pizza is good. At $8.27 for an 11 inch create your own pizza, you're definitely getting a good deal. They have a thick crust option, mini pizza option, salads, cheesy garlic breads, a plethora of toppings, and drinks that will quench your thirst. They have a few locations in the D.M.V area, maybe another location will treat me better than the aforementioned location. Other than the service...go try this pie. The parking at this location was good. **This establishment is Covid compliant**
