Horrible service staff acts like they hate customers. Is a hole in the wall dump. Staff moves at a snail's pace, you can time them with a calendar.

I'm not sure where to start here folks. On my way down to Florida I was determined to stop in NC for some of the famous barbecue. I stopped at this place and, I have to say, if this is NC BBQ then I've been misled.

First of all, the decor. I should have walked out immediately upon smelling the carpet but I'd just driven for 8 hours and I wanted something hot to eat that didn't come from a Cracker Barrel. There are dirty fish tanks with turtles (yes, turtles) all around, and stuffed animals in the restaurant, including a full sized stuffed bear wearing a baseball cap.

If the design decisions weren't bad enough, the cooking is worse. They left the silver skin on their ribs. People of NC, are you going to let an armature mistake like that represent your Q? It was overcooked and mushy. The sauce was over sweet with none of the wonderful vinegar hints that you expect from NC Q.

Horrible. Shouldn't be in business.

Always a pleasure being here! The service is great and the feel of the restaurant is like a cozy homey feel to it! Me and my girlfriend always enjoy it here!!

BEST BEEF RIBS AROUND!!! This restaurant needs some major cleaning and updating for sure!! But if you are looking for great ribs this is the place to go!! I haven't tried any of the other menu items.

Best ribs beef and pork. Steaks are great. I go every chance I can. Been going for 36 years. Same people run it

I have to agree with the others. We should have left the moment we sat down and saw the dirty, splattered vertical blinds next to our booth, but we were starving and took a chance on the food. It was awful, some dishes undercooked and soggy, and others were overcooked and tough. Meals were served on broken plate holders, I mean they each had a big chunk broken off of the plate holders. Salad bar had tiny plates (bread plate size) and a big sign that said "ONE TRIP ONLY". Very poor excuse for good NC ribs and shouldn't call itself a restaurant until it's cleaned from top to bottom and serves good food.
