A Flavorful Delight at Miller's Ale House in Sanford, Florida
Nestled in Sanford, Florida, Miller's Ale House offers a delightful dining experience with its inviting atmosphere and mouthwatering menu. During a recent visit with my sister, we were treated to a culinary journey that exceeded our expectations in every way.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the chicken flats. Each bite was a symphony of flavors - crispy yet not oily, juicy, and bursting with deliciousness. The garlic parmesan sauce stole the show, with its rich aroma and savory taste that had us craving for more. The mozzarella appetizer was a perfect start to our meal, with its gooey cheese and crispy exterior that left us wanting more.
The two sauces provided, ranch and garlic parmesan, were the perfect accompaniments to the chicken flats, complementing their flavors beautifully. Whether dunking the chicken or simply savoring the sauces on their own, each dip was a burst of indulgence.
The service at Miller's Ale House was impeccable from start to finish. Our waiter was a delight, attending to our every need with a smile and genuine warmth. Constant refills of water and prompt attention to our requests made us feel truly valued as guests. Even the staff member who brought out our food added to the positive experience with his infectious smile, adding a touch of joy to our sister meet-up on a busy Friday night.
Miller's Ale House in Sanford, Florida, exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. From the crispy chicken flats to the delightful sauces and friendly staff, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Very average nothing that special - the atmosphere is very plastic and the food is just typical bar food.

Well, once again a disappointing meal. 4 of us sat down and took over an hour to get our food (not busy at all). The server was lacking a personality and we had to continue to flag him down foe drink refills.
As for the food, was cold when we finally received it. The Bleu cheese for the wings tasted funny, we mentioned it to the server, did not even ask to bring fresh. When asked for mayo and mustard for the burger, his attitude was poor. Like I offended him for asking.
The manager never stopped at any tables, we were ignored throughout the meal.
So almost 2 hours for poor food, service and we will never come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

On April 7th of this year I and 3 other freinds stopped in at the Sanford location. The facility was basically empty, I actually took the time to count patrons and it was 24 individuals. We all ordered light lunch items. A bowl of onion soup, a Bavarian pretzel, a cheese burger and a plate of wings. The soup t before anything else. Our friend actually finished it well before any of the other items arrived. When the other items finally showed up after almost an hour of waiting the pretzel was cold, the dressing for the wings was spoiled, and the burger was over done. Not only was the food sub par, but the server seemed annoyed to be even working there. He was unattentive to the point we hflag him down for refills or new cocktails. his serving skills were lacking as he consistantly reached over my plate to place things on the table. The manager never stopped by the table, which I found odd since the food service was taking so long. All in all a very unpleaseant lunch and would recommend not bothering to walk in the door to others.

Quality of food has gone down after the pandemic. Before, during, and for a time after, it was still great.
It's a hit and a miss, with maybe 60% good and 40% why did I come here
The beers on tap and bartenders make up for when the food is lacking.
Nice chill atmosphere, kid friendly at the tables.
I haven't personally done lunch in-person but some other patrons at the bar said they do a great job here about being quick as these folks said they only have a 30 minutes lunch. Which I was happy to hear because depending on the day I have between 30-60. Now they did said that was by ordering off of their lunch menu...regular dinner items from the regular menu will take longer.
Overall, it's a nice place to come after dinner for some craft beers on tap and maybe an appetizer or dessert.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

May 5, 2019Previous reviewI've been to this location many times, and I must say that Deidre S. Is the best server that I've had! She is so pleasant, a fantastic server, and doesn't rush you. Deidre is very considerate of a customer's needs.

Oven broken so several menu items not available but the food and service were just meh. Hadn't been in a while but recalled it being much better. With other choices nearby it doesn't make sense to me to return.

So I'm downgrading them after several many issues over the last many months. We've been customers since they opened this location. Sometimes two, maybe three times a month. Sometimes more. My parents like to meet us kids here.
Our last waitress was snarky enough to prompt this updated review though I realize I've probably been a customer here more times than days she's worked.
Front of house hasn't been friendly. Big Red ain't big like it used to be and is sometimes rubbery. Fish and chips have been coming out burnt and oily more than once. They've also been cheap with the sides a few times. Once had a laughable tablespoon of mashed potatoes buried under the meatloaf! Mom, the meatloaf!! They've also padded the bill more than once. Like when I've asked for a side salad they've upgraded me to the full-size house salad without asking. I don't like that.
And, not only have beer prices gone up dramatically it's been skunky. Was a period of time a few months ago some of the beers were off for weeks causing me to send everything back in exchange for bottles. I'm certainly no beer snob but skunky beer is skunky beer.
The long and short of it is, they're going downhill.Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0Business owner information

It was New Year's Eve, and we were craving Fajitas from our favorite local Mexican restaurant, El Sol Mexican Bar and Grill before starting our festivities for the evening. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we realized the restaurant was closed for the holiday.
After a few minutes of pondering where to go, I suggested Millers Ale House as the alternative. Nancy didn't object, so off we went. Luckily, the restaurant was not packed, and we were seated right away. Amazingly enough, Millers Ale House has Fajitas on their menu, so the night wasn't a complete loss.
Our server Andrew was on point. He brought our drinks and took our order promptly. We ordered the Combo Fajitas ($17.99), our food arrived about 15-minutes later on a sizzling hot skillet. The Chicken and Steak were tender, juicy, and seasoned well, and veggies were fresh with a light crunch. Andrew brought out additional flour tortillas and a side dish of Pico de Gallo, chopped lettuce, shredded cheese, and sour cream at no extra charge.
For dessert, we ordered the Captain Jack's Buried Treasure ice cream cake ($6.99). I haven't had this dessert since about 2006, and it was as delicious and mouthwatering as I can remember; once you go Capitan Jack, you don't go back baby! Damn, this dessert is so good!
I am glad we decided to come to Millers Ale House for dinner; it was a great start to our New Year's Eve festivities. I highly recommend a visit to Millers Ale House if you are in the area. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the food is good, the beer is cold, and there are plenty of monitors available to watch the big game.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0Business owner information
