MAZUMA CREDIT UNION-you have the world's BEST asset/employee working for you! THOMAS!!!!!! Let me start by saying my family and I have been with Mazuma since 1988 (I believe it was called Federal Employees Credit Union back then) and in all of these years and 100's of employees later-THOMAS wins it all! He is AMAZING! So much so that I have never before written a review for Mazuma although I always receive awesome, excellent care. Joseph just stood out-went out of his way to help me and was very knowledgeable regarding my account. He also greeted me when I first came in and made me feel right at home! This is always so important me! It is who you meet right in the beginning that makes it or breaks it!
I actually live out of State now but was visiting family close by the bank. My daughter needed something notarized to secure a lease for college and it had to be sent in that day. It doesn't sound like a big deal-but it was to me. I needed THOMAS to help me retrieve the letter from my email, notarize it, and then he sent via email the document to me to forward. I was clueless and he took care of everything. Bless his heart. He was busy and yet he took time out of his day to do this for me. I will be forever grateful and his helpful kindness went A LONG WAY WITH ME! It's the small things that make the difference! He is outstanding in his field and in his personality! He should be the face of Mazuma! Actually -he really could be! He was dressed to the nines and looked like a perfect banker. He has the brains to go with it! I am so glad I have been with Mazuma for over 30 years and THOMAS solidified that for me!! WAY TO GO THOMAS! This bank sent me a personal loan conformation on the 9th of August. Britney Wilkerson was my loan specialist. I submitted all the docs she requested on the 10th of August. I then tried to reach her for a week and a half, kept getting out of the office emails and couldn't even get someone to answer the main bank line. She finally sent an email saying she was transferring my loan to Matt. I wished her well and tried to reach Matt. With no luck. Still no answer on main phone line. Finally today I got through and ask for a loan supervisor . Katie got on the phone and explained that Britney had a sick child and was in and out. Understandable. Matt was out of the office as well. She stated the loan officers work 10 hr days. Hello? I work 12 and still meet my responsibilities. She also said they have a new phone system that is not working properly. A perfect storm? That's what she ask me to believe. I turned down 3 other loans in the mean time, because this bank was closer in proximity to my house. I am sure glad that they turned down my application today. Everything they ask for I submitted and all was on the level.
If I could give this institution a ZERO I would!! Please check around before ever giving them any business.
