Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls - Harborplace

I have to start off by saying I consider myself very picky about how lobster is cooked and done. I have had many a tough lobster meal at places "known" for great lobster. So I read the reviews for this place which were all great and we decided to give it a try for lunch when in the inner harbor of Baltimore.

Our kids are not lobster fans so they opted for hot dogs and grilled cheese with chips and drinks. Great that they have this too. My husband and I each got a Connecticut lobster roll (go figure) but we like them hot and buttered best. They come with a pickle and for an extra charge you can get chips or a side of Cole slaw or potato salad. We got chips and potato salad.

Well- the verdict...... WIN! We both loved our lobster roll, lobster meat was light and buttered perfectly. Good size and filling! The roll toasted perfectly and buttered as well. Even the red bliss potato salad was good! Double BONUS! The price was also quite reasonable at $19. You can opt for double lobster meat for $24. We did this on another day and it was worth the price as well!

Highly recommend Mason's! It's a counter order place with some indoor and outdoor seating you pick on your own or you can take your lunch to go. Staff was very helpful and nice as well! They also have many other different rolls, salad options, lobster macaroni and cheese and quite a few shrimp meals too!

Great tasty roll.
Got the classic. Good sized portion of little lobster with a buttery sauce. Excellent bread roll toasted.
Staffer was friendly and attentive. Good value. It's fast food style but easy and delicious.

We came here for a quick lunch before hitting up the National Aquarium next door. The lobster rolls are awesome! Fresh, plenty of meat, well-seasoned, and not over-priced. Came with a pickle. Delicious lobster bisque too. My toddler liked the grilled cheese. Service was warm and friendly, and the ladies working there were sweet to give him extra packets of oyster crackers.

It's right on the harbor (which was sparse
of visitors on a Monday) so it was nice to enjoy the views and a pleasant stroll along the harbor as well.

Once a year, I come to the NCR for business, and having a lobster roll is one of the highlights of the trip. Less than 15 minutes after checking into my hotel, I came to Masons, as this is my go-to spot. Oh, lobster roll, how I missed you The same friendly staff as last year took my order. Masons is cozy and clean.

Then we walked in and ordered a Delicious Classic Lobster Roll! The warm buttery bun was perfect....

The boss man gave us samples of his New England Clam chowder, and I completely recommend it!!!

I love a good lobster roll and this one did not disappoint! Great service right on the water in downtown Baltimore! I was shocked that they weren't busier as we were at an industry trade show!

Delicious food, great location, reasonable prices.

Got the classic lobster roll which comes chilled on a perfectly toasted bun and a side pickle (wrapped for the anti-pickle people out there so nothing touches)

I would've liked the bisque soup a little thicker, but finished the whole thing and would get more! You can also add lobster meat on top for $4-5 more

My boyfriend and I came in on a sunday afternoon the staff was really sweet and accommodating and we're currently enjoying our meal. I ordered the clam chowder and while it is good it could use a little more salt and pepper in my opinion and my boyfriend is devouring his lobster BTL so I know it was GOOD to him!

Service was great. It wasn't too busy when I got there so I was able to order immediately. It got busier as I was sitting and eating. She brought the order to me.
Food was good. Pricing is fairly what I would expect for seafood and lobster rolls. Chowder is good, but I wish it had more seafood and clam flavor, but definitely buttery.
The ambiance was good. There was some music playing, nice environment, and clean tables.

Such an amazing meal on the water, absolutely fabulous food and even better service!!!! When in Baltimore, do not miss this jewel of a restaurant!!!!!!
