My female kitten Seraphina had something wrong with her left eye. She was closing it and it looked crusty and had a small discharge. I looked on Yelp and found Dr Gessner and Lyons Road Animal Hospital which was very close to my home and was accepting new clients.
I arrived on time and was seen as scheduled. Dr G assessed Seraphina's eye problem and prescribed a salve and asked me to watch the eye to make sure there is no ulcer present or that it doesnt get worse She also gave my an antibiotic. This was seraphinas first visit so she got her blood work and the feline leukemia and aids tests.
I am so grateful to be a new client of Dr Gessner as you know I have 3 more kittens that need to be neutered and I will have them done at Lyons Road Animal Hospital.
I got kisses from fred the "house cat" which made me feel welcome and accepted.
Seraphina behaved herself and was good for Dr G. She felt comfortable and not afraid and that meant a lot to me.
Thanks Dr G and staff! I will be back with the boys! Thanks for taking care of my little girl today!Helpful 49Thanks 0Love this 41Oh no 0 - Debbie J.West Palm Beach, FL01Aug 19, 2023
Dr Sara I have used for over 20 years, she has always been honest n respectful. There is no bullshit to sort through. I would trust her with any animal I have. Recently we have 2 Boxers and one of the first things she said was buy pet insurance. That Big dogs eat things and it would be expensive if this happened. I thought no way I watch my pets better than my kids so I did not. After we had a few employees have issues with their dogs, she repeated to buy insurance. She does not sell it or does she recommend any company. I did decide to buy insurance but I researched it out myself. Recently one boxer kept throwing up n could not hold water down, took her in and immediately Dr. Sara said she swallowed something and it was a for body. I questioned her cause I am always with this dog and she stood her ground and sure enough it was. Her surgeon was out of town so I ended up somewhere else. I wish that was not the case but needless to say $7000 later my boxer is healing. Thanks to her I had insurance and she caught it right away. She is good and knows her stuff !

They couldn't care less about you or your fur baby. All they care about is $$$. I've been waiting for test results for a month and when I call, all they give me is attitude.

I have been going to add Dr Gessner for years. We've had dogs at all stages of life there and they always give the best service. I appreciate that she explains why she is doing what she is doing and gives great advice!
Since we've had so many dogs we have brought her the worst injuries, dogs with cancer and other major illnesses. We've even brought friends with their animals when they were at a loss on what to do. The office is honest and I trust them wholeheartedly with my animals!
I drive from Boca to see her because I think she gives the most honest advice and I know she cares about them and won't let her team do a poor job handling our animals.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Moe H.Pompano Beach, FL0168Feb 29, 2020
Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. Sara is absolutely the best Vet you will ever see. It is so evident that she cares for every animal she treats, and this isn't just a business to her, but a passion. The office staff is so very friendly, always smiling and make you feel welcome. Everyone there treats you like you're the only one that matters. If you're looking for a place to bring your little fur baby, this is the spot. Human and compassionate is the best way I can sum it up.

The lady here was very rude, and I don't know why. I placed my dog on the counter in the examination room and she told me to "put the down dog, it doesn't go on there". So I did without questioning it as I assumed it was protocol. But not even a minute after, she told me to put the dog on the table. The lady is also very rude to her staff. She had a terrible attitude throughout the entire visit. Upon checking out, I asked for the list of all the vaccines and treatments my dog has received. She said (and I quote) "I'll give you the receipt... if you'll pay... with your credit card...". Like where is this attitude from? They ended up charging us $187. So overpriced. $9 because my dog pooped. $18 for cutting my dog's nails (which we didn't ask for). $65 for an exam which only consisted of weighing my dog and asking basic questions like "is she eating normally... etc". $45 for rabies and $50 for a heart worm test, which they have yet to report the results. There are other vets that are better than this. They were so uninformative. I thought my dog was going to get all the vaccines, but she ended up only getting one. I will be taking my dog somewhere else. You should always treat your customer with respect. There are a lot of other vets out there that won't overcharge and is actually respectful and informative.

We love Dr. Sara, David, Wendy, and Ken. Warm, caring staff who are wonderful I with our two dogs, Coco and Annie. Prices are fair and she doesn't look to do unnecessary testing, etc. After moving from NJ and having a Wonderful vet, I was worried it would be difficult to find an honest, caring vet but we did with LRAH.

We have been using Dr. Sara and her staff for 9 years now.She was always available when we needed her for support and compassion. She took great care of Remy all the way up to the end. And now is cari g for Archer. It's nice to find a vet you connect with and one who connects with your animals!
Her staff is always friendly and caring!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alexandria A.Englishtown, NJ0101Mar 7, 2018
The absolute best animal care that I could even dream of receiving. Dr. Gessner never gave up on my old, sick cat, and was so flexible, compassionate, and caring until the end. I could only wish to have this type of care for my human family members. I would give 10 stars if I could! I will be bringing all of my future pets here.

They are SO BAD AND DISORGANIZED! Its almost embarrassing, i did like the vet, however my dog still passed away and i felt overcharged and abused. There wasn't a visit that was less than 200. Just seeing the vet is like 50 and they have the fancy name for it of "exam". I tried to give them a second chance because its convenient, over the phone the girl is clueless: gave me puppy info then put me on hold and forgot. then an old man said hello and sounded like he didn't know how to use the phone. Then on hold AGAIN, and i got a guy that was aggressive and rude, to give me COMPLETE DIFFERENT info than the first person i talked to, all in one call. THEY DO NOT HAVE VACCINE PACKAGES OR DEALS, whether you are a loyal costumer or new customer. It is expensive, overpriced and even with appointment you end up waiting for almost and hour. I WILL BE taking my 2 dogs and my business somewhere profesional.
