      We purchase a lot from Lowe's but our most recent purchase was messy. We purchased flooring on 3/19 with Mike, he was amazing. Our flooring should have been delivered on 3/27, it wasn't and I never got a call. I called Lowe's and they said they would call me back after they find out what's going on, I got nothing. I called again and a customer service associate, Leigh Ann said she would find out what's going on. She spoke with Bob in flooring and my flooring was back ordered with no ETA. So they said we can come in and pick new flooring. No delivery date was given either. But bob said he would call me once he gets it in the system. Bob never called, so I call on 3/31 for an update. No one in flooring answered. 4/1 I spoke with someone who didn't give their name and they said it would be delivered on 4/3 and I'd get a call on Sunday (4/2) for a timeframe, I never did. 4/3 I got an automated call from Lowe's saying my flooring would be there between 12:30-4:00pm, it never came and again no communication from them. I called Lowe's and was on hold for 17 mins until an associate hung up on me. I called customer service again and they said the delivery coordinator (person I was speaking with apparently) left for the day.. I was on hold for another 10 mins and they gave me the Expo delivery number because they have the flooring. Expo told me it was never put on the truck. I called Lowe's back and asked for a manager and kept getting put on hold. Managers on duty were Amy, Jay and Anthony. I got transferred to Amy, but Jay picked up. He took my information and said he'd call back after speaking with the flooring supervisor. 4/5 the installers call to set a date up and I told them I don't even have the flooring at my house. I called Lowe's again and all the managers were conveniently in a meeting and I was told they would call me back, which I knew they wouldn't. So I called Lowe's corporate as well and was given a case number. I was told they would call in 24 hours. 4/7 I called corporate since I never got a call and at this point wanted to cancel my purchase. Corporate said I could and would need to speak with the Lowe's location. They transferred me to a manager and the call was disconnected so I called corporate back. The employee on the phone said the previous agent cancelled it and ill see a refund in 3-10 business days. At this point I have trust issues with Lowe's, so I went to the location as well that day. I was there for an hour explaining everything to Customer service associate Ashleigh and Manager Vince. Vince said the flooring supervisor Edwin called me and left a voicemail, he indeed did not. Vince promised it would be delivered tomorrow and once this is all done he will give me a discount for my issues. Well, 4/8 comes and no communication. I called flooring and spoke with Mike. After figuring out what was going on, mike let me know it did not make the delivery that day because the manifest was printed before my order was on there. Mike offered to delivery it in his personal truck. I didn't want him to do that, but he verified it would be delivered on Monday (since Sunday was Easter). I said Monday was fine and to make sure Vince is aware of this. 4/10 the delivery came at 8am which was way before the delivery window given, but thankfully I work from home. No one informed me two sets of deliveries would be there. The first guy dropped the flooring off and was not the nicest person. The second set of guys brought everything in the house plus the smaller supplies. They actually left all the trash and pallets for me to clean up too, see the picture attached. 4/12 installers came and got everything done. My fire alarms kept going off because of a machine they were using in the house. They were smokers and the smoke was filling my house since the windows and doors were opened (reminding you I'm pregnant), and once they were gone there were cigarette butts in front of my house. But they got the job done quickly. There were dust in the floors which I THINK is normal, I've never had hardwood floors. So I had to clean that plus the countertops and furniture from dust. They didn't hook up my fridge, sink and washer properly. The washer is what really had me worried because I was doing laundry and all of a sudden water came gushing out all over my new flooring. Luckily my dad lives next door so he was able to fix everything but it was a mini flood. The installers flooring supervisor came out later that week to verify there was damaged and she confirmed it was not. On 4/19 I went to Lowe's to return extra product ($800 worth) and wanted to speak with Vince about my discount. After waiting an hour he never came and Ashleigh took my name and number and said he's call back. As you know, he never did. I called every few days for Vince, same process. On 5/11 I went to Lowe's and wanted to speak with any manager. Amy listened to the situation and provided 30% off my supplies.

      dont waste your time or effort to call the newport news location...the employees sare useless to answer any question.

      If I could give negative stars, I would. The store does not even deserve the one star that I'm forced to give. Under no circumstances, should you purchase a lawnmower from Lowe's. I purchased a zero turn mower and had problems with the drivetrain after only 32 days of ownership, and less than five hours of use.
      I immediately took the mower back to try to resolve the situation, and was told that because I owned it for more than 30 days that I needed to contact the manufacturer. They gave me a number to call the manufacturer, but it turned out to be just a recording. When I brought this to their attention, they said sorry we can't help you. I ended up talking to the manager who was extremely rude and told me that it was my problem and that was the end of it.
      Eventually, I was able to contact the manufacturer who told me that my problem was with Lowe's unless I wanted to pay for the repairs.
      I spent over two weeks with Lowe's corporate before I finally got the issue resolved. The corporate office was able to help me exchange the mower for a new one at a different store, which I promptly sold to get my money back. I was a big fan of Lowe's before this, but I can honestly say I will never spend another penny in their stores after the way I was treated by management.

      So we frequently go to Lowe's for our home improvement needs.

      Staff members are usually helpful.

      We did have a question about getting something and after waiting... the lady told us to go to one area.... turned out to be wrong.

      We got a shed and had to talk to 3 people to be able to find it and then wait for a worker to help get it down.

      Usually we have a good experience but this was an off day.

      Hard to shop for what you need with aisles like this. See pictures below. Be careful safety challenge. This is in addition to outside where rats are all over the birdseed area and things are in a huge disarray. Come on Lowes you can do better...or can you??

      Poor customer service, I was glad when they told me I could get my washer and dryer purchase the next day but when I was told by the delivery man I thought that was bad service. It only took 3 minutes but I had to wait 4 more days for maintenance to do it.
      I called to complain and was told in a nasty tone "that's not in our scope. Newport News va Lowes

      I contracted aluminum fence installation through Lowe's on September 16. As finally write this review on December 29, my installation has yet to be completed. I have been waiting the past three weeks for a single corner post... My project is sitting about ¾ done. Along the way, there have been tons of empty promises and missed deadlines. We have had materials (including concrete) sit in our driveway (front of the house) for over seven consecutive weeks. Today, I was to receive the materials needed to finalize our installation. Yesterday, Lowe's sent confirmation that the materials would be delivered by 12:30 EST. When no materials arrived, I called and was told that the delivery was "not on the truck's manifest"... Lowe's now claims that my remaining materials will be delivered January 2. Rightfully, I hold no trust in that. At no time along the way has Lowe's contacted me regarding our project. Rather, I only get anything when I inquire about another missed deadline. In nearly four months, they have made no meaningful attempt to make this right. Not a single one. At this point all we want is what we have paid for. Again, this all started September 16, well over three months ago.

      If you need contracted services, I'd recommend either working directly with the contractor (which I wish I had) or trying Home Depot, with whom I have had much better past success.

      this location should be beyond embarrassed about their customer service. we have now wasted 5 full days trying to get a washer and dryer delivered. the first two days they brought incomplete deliveries. the 3rd day the completed the delivery but ruined the washer. the last two attempts nobody showed up or called during the 12 hour delivery windows. calling the store is a nightmare, waiting on hold being told the managers are too busy. leaving messages that are never returned. the store blames the third party delivery company and takes no responsibility. take your money elsewhere, I know we will have shopping at Lowe's for over 20 years. I have no idea how this company survives with such awful service and disregard for customers or their time

      What a great location! The employees here are extremely friendly & the store location is very clean!

      I entered this location on a Monday afternoon in need to make a cut. Employee Morgan (hired February 2018) was an absolute pleasure while assisting me during my visit.

      The prices of course are as is but the quality of the items are great.
