Great place to cater Chinese food for family gatherings and a pretty decent place to get affordable Chinese food.
I usually get a 2-entree meal with half/half rice and chowmein. With broccoli beef and the fried fish. The helpers there are always so friendly and they definitely STUFF your plate! If you go for lunch, you might as well assume you have dinner because they give you so much food. The restaurant itself is pretty small, nobody really eats inside as it seems like they've kept their tables/chairs up - probably due to Covid. Which is fine - just take your affordable chinese food to go and eat it at home!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Dan Q.Anaheim, CA03May 2, 2024
Food was horrible. Large portions, but horrible the chicken taste like rubber. The rice didn't have no flavor. I ended up putting it in the trashcan. Find another place to eat. Trust me.

Here we are, post-pandemic. Lee's garden is no longer eat-in, and their food is still as good as it was. They have fixed the ceiling, but the store itself still looks very disorganized with boxes everywhere and tables scrambled around the counter. Since we're no longer grading this place on its in-store experience, I'm giving it that 4th star.

The ceiling is stained, and everything looks really aged and disorganized. Despite all this, the food is really good. The chow mein now has flavor, and everything seems to be healthier than what they offer at Panda Express. Until they remodel, I can't rate this more than 3 stars, and I can't recommend you eat here, but their food is worth that 4th star nonetheless.
Jun 9, 2013Previous reviewI'm raising the rank of this business to three stars. Every low ranking store deserves a second chance, especially when it is highly rated; it was better this time, but not by much. They now offer large portions and which filled me up quickly, and their sesame chicken was good. They also now act more competent in what is included in an order. However, their chow-mien was still drab. Since I came in at the 7:00 rush, the place was crowded. The lady who worked the counter would shout orders at the top of her lungs, making it distracting. Also there were a few tables that were left dirty, probably due to staffing shortages. I would now recommend this place if you want take-out.
May 5, 2013Previous reviewThe last time I ate here, I ordered the 2 item meal. It seemed that the servers didn't know what I was trying to say, as they kept messing up my order. Once I got the food, it had absolutely no flavor to it, unless I doused it with Soy Sauce (of which I had to go to the counter after the third time to get). After 10 minutes after eating, I felt sick. I don't know if it was a bad day, based on the other reviews here being high. If the service I got was common, I wouldn't recommend anybody try this place.

Good portions but their pork made me sick. There's a reason why there's big portions- they know their food is gross. Most recently, the food barely had flavor and was cold. The orange chicken was extremely dry. The beef brocolli is soggy. Never coming back. The old lady at the register has a disgusting attitude and needs to learn manners and customer service, because yelling "enter" a bunch of times while we're trying to pay and then rudely giving us our food without saying anything isnt right.

There isn't much not to like here. The prices are fair, the portions are big, the food is quality. The chow mein and fried rice are a bit lacking but other than that, the entrees are delicious and plentiful. I usually have a hard time deciding on what to get here but I'm never disappointed. Another hidden gem in Vallejo for those in the area, looking for Chinese food.

I usually hit it up after the gym on the weekends, and they look out with huge portions, and I am never disappointed. On my last trip, I was able to save some for breakfast the following day, two meals for the price of one. True, the area is not East Vallejo, but it's easy enough to come in, grab your food and be on your way. The ladies working the line know how to feed a big guy. Panda who.
