Kline's Dairy Bar

For custard style ice cream, you can't beat Kline's! This vintage shop has been scooping/serving cool treats since 1943! Now that's something to brag about! The frozen custard is divine, but they offer a variety of sweet treats to soothe your sweet tooth! There are several Kline's location in the area, whenever we see one we are drawn like a magnet to their parking lot! Let's go!!

Whether you're trying to beat the summer heat or just looking to satisfy a sweet tooth craving, Kline's ice cream is a good option. I visited twice on my visit to Staunton and enjoyed a yummy shake both times, even though they made me the wrong flavor one night.

There's lots of indoor seating and it gives off classic American burger vibes. Check it out!

Klines Diary Bat is amazing, I love the decor it's happy and colorful. My favorite go to's are the Raspberry and Coconut shakes. The staff here is beyond friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of their product. I great added bonus is the pup cup treats for our furry babies!! I highly recommend this place for your latest sweet tooth or quick lunch fix!! The Staunton location also offers a party room for your loved ones special bday!!

Klines is an institution to those who went to JMU. They have several locations around Virginia and the ice cream is sooo good.

Flavors change every so often and are posted on their website.

The best vanilla soft serve fresh ice cream around and the hot fudge sundaes are sooooo good.

They have some fast-food BBQ, fries and burgers fare as well but I've always stuck to the ice cream.

Bathrooms are large and clean and I like the old vintage concept with the open-air seating and garage doors with the old neon sign.

Perfect place if you are looking for ice cream! Delicious soft serve and plenty of options for everyone. Great vibe with plenty of seating. Staff were quick and friendly. Great way to end a hot summer day!

Kline's is a must for my family to stop by when we visit our grandparents. My uncle used to work there & it became a popular spot for us. I always enjoy their ice cream. Always so delicious! Also, a cool hangout spot! Workers are always good to us.

Oh my god this place is cool and the ice cream well let me just say wow.
This is actually the second time I was here. The first time was two years ago we happen to be going to the fast food place next-door and I saw this place and said I want to check it out. This time driving back from North Carolina we just decided to get off and get some gas and to stop get something to eat and it happened to be the same exit as two years ago. what's the odds of that. So I ended up having a hamburger and french fries with a soda. The hamburger was big and fresh she asked me how do I want it made and what do I want on.
And of course just about as much as a fast food joint but better food.

Wonderful ice cream. The BBQ sandwich is awesome and huge. One of my favorite regular stops.

The custard Was bland and tasteless. I had a Flori and could basically only taste coldness and candy. Pretty disappointing.

The butter pecan ice cream here is decent. There's ample parking, and the line moves quickly. Come stop by.
