Karvelas Pizza

Let me start by saying that our server at the West Point location, Jessica, was wonderful.
No complaints there, and tipped accordingly.

But good grief are we outraged at the prices verses what you get. The pizza is below average. Honestly there is nothing remarkable about the flavors. And the cheese is nearly nonexistent.

The prices are our biggest complaint. In the current economy, most families cannot or will not pay this much for mediocrity. Our other gripe is that we are not allowed to modify the specialty pies. This is ridiculous and to build our own up to our desire would be astronomical!!!!!

This sad green salad was $11!
This 1.5 topping one size only pizza was $21.
We drank water because we anticipated an exorbitant bill and still ended up over $46 after tip.

There is no kids menu.

With all the other options in a 15 miles radius it will be a very long time before we return here.

I hate to complain because I recall a time we had nothing to choose from in West Point, but Karvelas doesn't bring enough value for our dollar.

Great food and service. Flavors of their wing sauce are great. Always Friendly and clean.

My husband and I drove from Hamilton to try this place - loved it so much we brought the whole family back. Great food, relaxed environment and friendly (helpful) staff!

Poor management! Took out drink order after sitting for 10 minutes. Then we waited for another 20 minutes and couldn't get the only waitress to come back to take our order! Not her fault as she was working hard! No manager present. Not sure how the pizza would have been but wanted about 45 minutes of my day. Terrible, just terrible!!!

Food was okay but the music was WAY too loud and when we asked them to turn it down, they said that the head office controls the music. Why would the head office not allow the specific locations to control the volume? Not sure if it was legit or if it was just a convenient excuse, but either way that's not okay. This location is too small for how loud the music is. Do better.

I suppose this review will be something of an anomaly because, even though I have eaten there three times, I have yet to eat a pizza. Karvelas is a pizza chain, locally owned I believe, that started in LaGrange, GA. It is located, for any living fossils (like myself), in the old Woolsworth building in downtown West Point. The interior is neat but spare. Service is very good. What have I been eating, if not pizza? They have an excellent grilled chicken salad which I like so well that it is what I have eaten every time that I have dined there. A good mixture of different varieties of lettuce, green and red bell peppers, onions, black olives and very tasty and savory grilled chicken make this a winner. Perhaps I'll try a pizza someday.

Karvela's is one of my favorite pizza spots! The Memphis and Magnolia pies are a family favorite, and the Rocky Top wings are the bomb! My only complaint is you can only get one size pizza, no slices (unless it's the lunch special), and they rarely give us plates. Multiple times, I've had to ask for plates for a shared large pizza. Oh well, minor complaints for a great restaurant.

Had great Greek salad with chicken, chicken tenders and fries. All were tremendous! Really great service. Very fun restaurant. Music could be toned down a bit- only criticism. But, we will definitely be back. Welcome to West Point! So glad that you are here.
