JTs Kia in Columbia SC has some great staff then again they have some lazy staff. When buying a car everyone is nice to you but when it's time to service that car it takes 2 to 3 hours for an oil change and if it's anything else like putting a rim on a tire you can forget about it. Your whole day is gone. I will not and do not recommend anyone getting a vehicle from JTs Kia in Columbia on Killian Road!!!!

My recent experience with the service department was just horrible and completely humiliating I left there in tears. My car was there for 4 days and my service advisor was Johnathan and during that timeframe I was not given any type of updates about my vehicle. My interaction with him was very rude and really combative in which I thought was very unprofessional. After calling and speaking with different workers I was advised that a manager would be contacting me back about my vehicle on two occasions and no one ever did. This has been an ongoing issue with my car I just had it up to Kia and was serviced and I spent over $900.00 thinking my car would be fixed and it's not. I really feel like because I'm and young black woman and don't know much about cars that I'm being jerked around.

Your age and color have nothing to do with the services you were provided M M. If you truly think that was the case, then please speak with our service manager about it when you call in. I purchased a used vehicle May 2023 and started having issues shortly after purchasing it. It is now July and my car engine locked up on me, as my family and I were in traffic. I went to JT Kia with intentions of getting a reliable reasonably priced vehicle to basically getting a vehicle with more issues than vogue. My children start school next week and I am currently out of a vehicle. This will be my first and last vehicle with JT Kia on Killian.

I purchased a used vehicle from JT's Kia in November 2022. Upon returning home the back hatch would not automatically open. I called returned the vehicle only to hear sorry we can't fix that. The salesperson had stated multiple times that there were no worries that anything that needed to be fixed in first 90 days would be covered at 100%. After returning, complaining they said they would have someone come look at it but it probably the settings. No the entire door will not open automatically still and they would not fix it appropriately. In addition the heat was on in the car while I purchased it. The first hot day I turned on the air conditioner only to blow out room temperature air. I called and no one will call me back. Same response. Turns out there is a hole in the condenser leaking Freeon and I have had to pay $800 to get fixed. I trusted that the air conditioner would actually work. I mean a simple assumption when you buy a car that has been "inspected by their team." Joke!
Please do not trust these people. Get the cars checked out or go somewhere else reliable to purchase a car. They are unresponsive and lied about the coverage costing me over $1500. Do not buy a car here!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Don't waste your time here, I called this morning and spoke with Amanda about a Kia Carnival SX Prestige they showed was in stock online. She confirmed that they had it at around 10am. So we told her we'd be on our way, coming from the Augusta area so it would be probably 2 hours or so but we set up the appointment to come look at it. She even called us when we were on our way to make sure we were still coming, confirmed we were and what our ETA was. Well when we got to the dealership just a little bit later the car we were there to see was suddenly MIA and they tried to tell us they sold it that morning. Really?! You sold it in the 45 mins it took from Amanda's phone call to us to when we arrived? And Amanda couldn't bother to give us a courtesy call? I'll just stick with my local Kia dealership and order the car from there. Do not waste your time or energy on this dealership.

While I understand dealerships are struggling like all other businesses, but JT Kia made my experience over the top exceptional! I had an engine issue, I live in myrtle beach and the dealership here knew it was a recalled engine and told me 5 months until I could get my car fixed! After that information I started to call several dealerships, JT's service department from the first call we're understanding and extremely helpful! Every single person I dealt with at JT's was professional, kind, knowledgeable and understanding and got the job done in an acceptable amount of time! I can't thank them enough for making sure I got my car back and fixed in a timely manner! I would highly recommend them! Thank you Leann, Olivia, Jonathan, Kristine, Whitney and the whole service department!

If you think you are going to come and be in and out because you made an appointment, think again. I got here for an appointment at 330. Time is now 557. That's 2.5 hrs for an OIL CHANGE. Come on now.
I can at least say the front desk service was friendly. The mechanics are moving slow as molasses, though. You can see them coming in from the garage moving like sloths.
I only came here because my car is under warranty, but I'll try another Kia dealership next time.
