My six-year-old who skateboards (like a teenager) loves this park. Enough challenge but also some easier areas. Open all day, so if you want to come when it's less crowded go early. By 3:30 there was at least 25 kids there. Seems to be mostly older teens/20 somethings. Bikes are okay as long as you stay out out the boarders' way. Same with scooters. Locals are nice; I've never had my kid run over or yelled at; they always are cheering her on if anything, or they will just stay out of her way. She doesn't care how crowded it is. Definitely her favorite park.

This is our home park. We frequent this skatepark more than any other, and we try them all.
Located on the North side of the El Dorado County Fairgrounds and sharing a parking lot with Placerville Speedway, you can't miss it. Right behind Raley's. tons of parking to be had as well.
Joe's has a wide variety of ramps, bowls, rails, ledges, and long stretches of manual pad around the top. This park is unattended by any employees and it is a run by the county. Rules are the standard skatepark rules. Locals get along well. Sometimes there may be a few knuckleheads present, but most regulars are cool. Watch out for the times when the fair is in town or other large festivals. These events bring the rednecks and kooks out of the woodwork and that can mean crowds and troublemakers.
All things considered, this a a good park and it's pretty big. It is showing some wear and tear over the years, but still has some shred remaining.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
