Q:
Is there a minimum amount of required guests to host a wedding here?
A:
There is no minimum guest count required, but we do have a minimum dollar amount required to be spent for each day. It will vary depending on event date and time. The team will fully discuss the details during a consultation on site.

We had been price comparing different venues prior and were feeling defeated before we came across Jefferson St. Mansion. Based on my sister-in-law's recommendation and the prices posted online, it looked promising.
It was love at first sight as we toured the space and was perfect for our intimate 65 guest wedding. Even tho this was the first and only venue we visited, we were confident it was the one. We put down our deposit that evening. They had the date we wanted, the venue was STUNNING and pricing was reasonable especially with everything that was included. An all inclusive venue which included catering, florals, tables, chairs, Dj, open bar, cake, wedding planning and day of coordinator. You're able to customize your package to your liking. You can upgrade certain aspects of the package or take out things to cut costs. Aside from their in-house catering, if you have a specific bakery, florists, Dj or any other outside vendor you would like to hire you're able to do so.
Prior to the wedding, they invite their engaged couples to a cute wedding fair event where you can sample the menu, drinks, bakery, see examples of floral arrangements, table settings, get a feel for the Dj and get acquainted with the vendors.
We felt relatively stress free when it came to the planning process. The mansion provides you with a handy planning binder with timelines and vendor info. There were two in-person meetings and the planning team was there via text or email for any questions, concerns or changes along the way.
The execution of the wedding was flawless and went off without a hitch. Our guests raved about the venue, food and ambiance. We had many guests say it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've been to which is a testament to how amazing and hard-working the team is. This is also coming from a type A personality, who is very picky. Overall, we were well taken care of throughout the process and would recommend them to anyone. Jefferson St. Mansion truly made our dream wedding a reality.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle R.Discovery Bay, CA723013Apr 14, 2024
Just had my wedding here two days ago. It was a lovely seamless process, day of.
Here are some warnings to look out for:
They present a package. Check what is included. EVERYTHING is an upgrade, including floor length table clothes. Just triple read what is "included". Cause it will cost you a lot more than what is signed for. They nickel and dime you.
My jbl speaker that was in the brides room is missing. Even went the next morning to check if it was there. Highly recommend a personally guard of bridal suite. Venue has been a lot less responsive since my wedding, two days ago. In the contract, it states they aren't responsible for anything missing in the bridal suite.
Also pack your stuff and have it ready before
Ceremony. To make sure everything is accounted for and easy for your grand exit.
Amanda was amazing, she coordinated our wedding. Dj Quam was AMAZING. And venue is stunning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Danielle, we are so glad that we were able to execute yours & Akash’s vision. It has been a joy to work with you these past months! We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed working with our team and enjoyed the venue.
I am sorry to hear that you felt everything cost extra after booking, but we do appreciate your feedback so that we can train our team to better present what is included and what will cost more earlier in the process.
We wish you both the very best & congratulations on your marriage!

We had the best time of our lives. Every thing was done as we have planned. Shout out to Maricela and Jane, they pretty much run the show for us and made us feel very extra special. Our guests love the interior, every corner is a picturesque scene.

It's taken me a while to write this because I needed to let the calm after the craziness of wedding planning settle. We had a great experience and would highly recommend spending your special day here!
Four stars because the food was great, night of service was impeccable, and we had a magical night here. Our guests enjoyed the experience.
We were concerned after attending the wedding fair because the food was very sub-par that night. On the other hand, it helped us narrow down our choices. BUT, the food was MUCH better the night of our wedding. At the wedding fair, everything was lukewarm to cold and that just completely changed the taste. Night of our wedding (which is the important part) everything was hot, and all of the pasta salads and sides were delicious. We had several guests say they went back for more because it was so good.
I'd say the most frustrating part of the whole process was that we worked with different people from our tour to our meetings to the night of. Because of that, some things were lost in the switching of who we worked with. We were told that three vegan meals along with four kids meals would be added at no cost. We had to go back and tell them that more than once and luckily it was noted. There were a few instances like this throughout the process. Another was that they would throw in the elite chairs at no extra cost as we didn't love the cost of adding them. We did go with the elite package, but downgraded the things not as important to us personally. I think working with one person throughout would have made the process more streamlined.
Our guestbook was a very large, very expensive 6 liter bottle of champagne. We brought it in a box for the transportation purposes and the night of coordinator had people sign the wooden box when we had explicitly said that we wanted the bottle signed. One of our guests who knew the bottle was supposed to be signed told us this and said she told the planner who responded with, "well if I'm wrong, I'll ask for forgiveness later." I know this was said because when I approached the planner about it, she even quoted the same words. I'm sorry but we spent $700 on that bottle and were not going to keep the box. This is our once in a lifetime wedding and opportunity to have our guestbook signed and rather than responding the way she did, she should have asked me. It would've been a simple question that In no way would've ruined our time. Anyway, we had it fixed, but not before our sharpies were ruined by signing on rough wood. Therefore, some of our guestbook signings are illegible which is disappointing.
Not until ten days prior to our wedding did the coordinator mention that it may be a little cold and we may want to rent heaters. Seemed as if they didn't want to mention this while trying to "sell" us on the property and waited until we were already baited and hooked. Just would've been nice for this to be mentioned sooner, but it was no big deal to book and have them there at a reasonable cost.
Overall, small flaws. We had a great night and so did our guests. It was a beautiful day. The house could definitely use a little TLC and I would highly recommend a little money be spent there. I know what we spent on one Saturday and feel a little paint could go a long way. But the day was beautiful, the pictures impeccable, and all the vendors were great to work with.
Here's to a lifetime of beautiful memories of our perfect day!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chandler W.CA, CA081Apr 15, 2024
This is a beautiful venue and reasonably priced compared to other places in the Bay Area. You may want to consider having your own day-of coordinator beyond the Wedgewood provided staff. Once you have signed your contract you will get a binder which states that the coordinator you have worked with the entire time up to the day of the event does not stay until the end of the night and the coordination is "transfered" to the DJ and banquet captain. Another thing to watch for is the floral upcharges. The florist offered a discounted upgrade of faux floral (it was still a couple hundred and we declined) only later to "gift it" as florist presumably wanted to leave it up rather than take down/put back up between events. Florist also charged a delivery fee for bouquets and corsages even though they were already delivering the reception flowers. The florals were absolutely gorgeous, just be aware of the charges. Danville bakery did an amazing job on the cake. Overall it was a sucessful event, it just would have been nice to have one person coordinating the whole day from start to finish.

I had the pleasure of visiting Jefferson Street Mansion last night while attending a wedding.
Coming from someone who lives and had to make the drive from San Jose, I'd be lying if I didn't do a little huffing and puffing! Of all the venues and event spaces to choose from, did they really have to pick Benicia??? On a weekday and in the middle of traffic hours at that??! Lmao.
Luckily for us, even with us running through a ton of traffic [accident related] we scramble and made it on time to the actual wedding ceremony. Parking was a breeze and the while the decor was beautiful, the venue in itself was truly magical on so many levels.
My previous huffing totally went out of the window when I was able to see the venue in person. Spacious, clean, and offers a ton of amazing photo opportunities with its beautiful views. Staff was absolutely delightful and the bartender was THEEE sweetest- granted, non of the patty seemed too picky about our alcohol so everything went without a hitch! Food was good, nothing amazing, but definitely good!
5/5 stars. Highly recommended!! I see why the newlyweds chose this venue and I would do the same in a heartbeat!!!! I only wished I was able to explore more of the mansion.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0Business owner information

Absolutely amazing! My wife and I got married on May 25th 2023 and everything was better than we had hoped for! The all inclusive deluxe package is a little pricy but definitely worth it. Our wedding planners Margarita and Marisol went above and beyond to make our day the best it could be. Even with hiccups the day of everything was amazing without a problem.

Although it was cold and drizzling, our wedding day in March was perfect to us thanks to Jefferson Mansion. Of course there were hiccups here and there, but everything came together beautifully. Their staff were so detailed and helpful. They really listened to our needs, requests, and concerns to make our wedding day special. Many already said this, yes, buffet was really good. Their cake vendor is beyond amazing. The only thing we'd recommend is venue should provide wisteria and more flowers in their packages. For us, the wisteria canopy ceremony area is what got us to book this place right away. However this year was so cold, we didn't get any and had to get there early on the day of to decorate the ceremony and entrance/reception area to make it look more lively. Overall, I was a very happy bride and had a lot of fun on our day.

We can’t believe it has already been a month since your wedding day, Tracey and Jeremy! We’re glad everyone had a good time despite the cloudy day. Nothing that good food and dancing can’t fix! Your own décor definitely made the ceremony site beautiful that day, and we thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with us. Wishing you guys all the best!
