Color me surprised and color my friend happy. After shopping all the other major department stores and some very popular boutique stores with no success, I asked my friend if she want to try JCPenny. She said, she didn't care where it came from, as long as she found what she needed.
My friend has tickets to the Kentucky Derby and we were searching for her dress to wear on Friday at the Kentucky Oaks. It is known the world over as the Derby's "sister race," this contest takes place the day before and celebrates the sport's finest filly racers. She already has her dress & hat for the actual Derby.
If you've never been to the Derby, when you buy your tickets they come with a dress code. You especially have a dress code if you're in the really good seats. The Friday dress code, required that her dress be pink or have pink as a prominent color to celebrate the fillies. We also had to find a purse within the dimensions allowed. We found a dress, hat and purse all for under $125. What a deal.
The service we received was friendly and professional. They young lady who processed the sale, totally impressed me. She was more attentive then some associates that work at a regular Nordstrom's.
So give JCPenny's a chance next time you are shopping. You just may find what you're looking for and at a major savings.

If I could do a negative 10 I would. Customer service is a joke. JCPenney is not the company it once was. I ordered two pairs of Puma sneakers. I received both in a plastic bag. One was in it's usual box the other wrapped in plastic. Needless to say the one wrapped up in plastic was all crushed and bend, not looking new at all. In fact looks like I got them from a flee market. Called customer service he says oh no problem take them to store for a return/refund. WHAT. So the whole purpose of ordering online is to avoid going to the store yes/no? Plus the stores don't ever have the size I ordered, which is why I ordered online. Also they were for a birthday present tomorrow. So thanks JCPenney. now I have two choices which aren't really choices for me #1 return . And not give my grandkid the one thing they wanted #2 give him these shoes that look like they're not new. PLUS where's the box? No

Wide variety of clothing and just about any else you need for the home. Prices are good, and even better with a coupon available online or if you catch a great clearance sale.

Not sure how this store has remained open all these years when better stores have closed. There is one right next to the Target store I shop at so I will go in occasionally just to waste some time and that describes every shopping experience I have had there. Their clothes are all ugly, juniors and womens both. The purses are ugly, even their pajamas are ugly. Whoever JCP hires as Buyers for their products needs to be replaced with people that actually have good taste.

I ordered a purse online and was told it would arrive on 3/3. The purse still hasn't arrived and I was told, before being hung up on, that the only way I could cancel and get my money back is going to the store. Otherwise I have to wait another 5 BUSINESS DAYS (even though they are open every day) to receive my merchandise. Did I mention I was hung up on and still don't have my money or the purse.

Came here to shop for my kids. It's a little hard finding stuff, including bathrooms. But, hey, it's a department store. I shop almost exclusively in the clearance section, and got some decent deals. Overall, a pretty average experience.

The merchandising isn't very appealing, as it's cluttered. Also, it's very hard to navigate the store; I had to walk back and forth to find the kids section, and even then, there was no clear flow.

I ordered a couple of items to pick up at the South County store and after receiving an email notice that my order was ready, I drove to the store to do just that. Half of my order was missing. I thought the rest would be available in a few days. However, an email from JCPENNEY thanked me for picking up my entire order. I called customer service to verify, and was told to contact the actual store for information. The employees at the store found the rest of my order in a short time and I left happy. The young man who helped me was very polite and apologetic for the mixup. Good job JCPENNEY.

If you ever visit this store visit the Jewelry counter and find Ms. Tami, she's a wonderfully beautiful woman with greatest welcoming spirit and phenomenal customer service. She has helped me on all my important occasion purchases with my mom, friends, kids and myself. She is a true asset to this company and I hope they know that. We need more Ms. Tami's in the world. Continue to be great Ms. Tami because we love it!!!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 20, 2019Previous reviewWe were disappointed yesterday morning because I brought my mom there to purchase shoes and there were shoe boxes all over the place and racks in the aisles in both the shoe department and where the women's slippers were. It was hard to maneuver with a wheelchair and walk through. I guess they were changing displays, but you would think as soon a s the store was opened that would be all cleaned and cleared up. The employees didn't seem to care or move anything out of the way, other than that they do have great sales at times.

If you have not been into a JCPenney lately you are truly missing out. Not only do the offer great coupons, they have some of the cutest clothes. I have found so many professional outfits and at such great prices. They have plenty of places to check out and the associates are always so friendly and helpful.

Hadn't been to this JCP in awhile because I usually shop at a different mall. Ordered a swimsuit online and the info in my confirmation said it would be ready to pick up the next day. Went in a few days later to get it. The first thing I noticed was how filthy the entrance to the store was. There were food containers, spilled food, butts, and other trash all over the steps and entrance. Some of it had obviously been there for some time. Inside was not much better. I know the season is changing and they were moving a lot of merchandise around, but everything was so cluttered and crowded and just seemed dirty. Went to customer service to pick up the item. The clerk tried to put in my phone number at least 5 times and my order never came up. Finally another clerk had to show her how to login or something (I was not bothered by that, she seemed newish and not very well trained.) My order came up, but had been cancelled. What???? She said sometimes they cancel if the item is not available. I don't recall getting an email saying that. In fact, that day I had gotten one reminding me of my order. Overall a wasted, unpleasant trip. Will not be going to that store again any time soon.
