Because there are broken food trays and the speakers are TRA$H! And the screens are black so you just hear ads about drug addiction and can't even see what's going on. Bad vibes. Food is expensive AF. I paid 5.99 for a bag of mnms so that's .25¢ per mnm! Outrageous

Island 16 is a staple of my childhood.

While I don't care for the influx of prices there isn't much else to complain about except almost every time I get to my chair I have a broken recliner which kinda sucks cause you're spending a good amount on tickets and popcorn.

But other than that it's clean, and roomy and I have always loved the "special" movie theater.

Broken chairs, dirty, needs to be cleaned. Maybe a facelift is needed
Very disappointed

Island 16 has become very run down in recent years. The floors and seats are dirty, the tray tables are broken, and overall the theaters are not maintained. But, their $5 movies on Tuesdays is what keeps me coming back. The theater could use some updates and it should be cleaned more often.

I haven't been to the movies in a while due to the virus but I ventured out to see a movie I had wanted to see in the theater . The seats were recliners so they were comfortable but the small tray table had not been cleaned and there were crumbs and so I'm sure the seats were not wiped down in who knows how long ? Being that we have flu, RSV and COVID id hoped they would make cleanliness a priority; there were only about ten people in the theater and the bathroom was clean. They really need to take the time and wipe things down in the seating areas

Josh was extremely rude & condescending when I asked where my movie was. Poor customer service

I will never go back to this theater. There was one showing of national lampoons vacation. The sound system was broken. They notified us after an hour of trying to find the problem that they will not be showing the movie. I should've went to a different theater. Now I missed my one chance to see this on the big screen. And they refused to refund the money I spent on food and drink that I was saving for the movie. So they stole $26 from me. And ruined my night. With no chance to see that movie again. What a horrific theater. Thanks for nothing. Terrible management.

Sound was great
Moving seat during action was great
Too much light while the movie was playing

Recently went on a Saturday afternoon. The concession was dark and had no visible employees. The sound of the movie was SO loud that I tried putting tissues in my ears and I was sorry that I left my phone in the car because I would have used the app that measures decibels! When I got outside afterwards I had the feeling that's exactly the same as after a rock concert in a poor venue. I notice an undeniable change in my typically acute hearing so I'll be getting checked. Never again.
