Awesome Indian spot in north center! I started with the samosas and onion naan bread, both were amazing.

For entrees, I ordered Chicken Chettinad and Haryali Chicken. Both were great and had decent spice. Each entree comes with steamed rice that was perfectly cooked.

Highly recommend Indian clay pot. Amazing depth of flavors and amazing food. Can't wait to take friends here again soon.

Their food is very good, but they never delivered our food when we ordered from their website. We called several times and they said the door was on the way. After two hours, their phone stopped working we called. I'm not even sure how to get a refund so it will probably end with a credit card dispute which is unfortunate all around.

It is unfortunate to see this place struggle.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I NEVER leave bad reviews, but Indian Clay Pot has earned the exception.

      1) The food is not even remotely good. The Kadai chicken was bland and barely edible. The naan was soggy and tasted like they pulled it out of yesterday's garbage. And somehow they manage to make plain basmati rice taste horrible!

      2) The portions are tiny for what you're paying.

      3) It took 2 hours for them to deliver it (over an hour late), despite only being 2 miles away (15 min drive). The order was supposedly picked up at 7:15 but not delivered to me until 8:20. They have their own delivery, so my guess is they try to save money by taking all the orders at once.

As if the subpar food wasn't enough, thanks for delivering it cold and stale!

There are too many good restaurants on Devon to patronize, don't waste your hard earned money on this garbage!

Indian Clay Pot has become one of my new favorites for #indian in #Chicago. While Indian food is not new to me, I was not quite familiar with southern Indian style . While it appeared to be primarily a carry out business , if you get a chance to eat there, you'll have a wonderful time. The service is friendly and very accommodating. Some recommendations include the Manchurian Gobi (cauliflower), paneer, and of course butter chicken!! We got two types of naan and paratha which. We happened to go on a very cold day, so there weren't quite as many folks there, but think it's probably a fun place during better weather!

Indian Clay Pot is a great option for those seeking a delicious and affordable introduction to North Indian cuisine. The use of clay pots adds a unique touch to their dishes, and the friendly service creates a welcoming atmosphere. While the ambiance might be casual and seating limited, the flavorful food, reasonable prices, and genuine hospitality make it a worthwhile visit.

Great prices and it's BYOB. Delicious Indian food. My friends and I go there for bdays and order multiple dishes and share them because they're all so good. Good choice for vegans and gluten free diets.

The (cold) delivery order took almost 2 hours to get to me, despite living 10 minutes away.

Ordered for delivery. I'd say portion size of the paneer tiki masala was a little small for the price but it was delicious! The tandoori chicken was fine. It didn't hit the spot for a tandoori craving, something was off on spices and I wouldn't order that again. I didn't have the naan, pictured is low carb cloud bread which was an excellent substitute! Also pictured is a NA IPA called partake which I highly recommend! I will definitely order again here and try different dishes.

Ordered a delivery from Indian Claypot.

      Chilli Gobi: 4/5
      Vegetable Biryani: 3.5/5

Good big portions and well packed. Biryani was bit Curryish taste. I was expecting more like traditional Dum Biryani taste but it's slightly more of curry mixed taste. It came with Raita and mango pickle.

Chilli Gobi was Spicy and Very tasty.

      Overall good food.

      Updated review

Recently had delivery. I had the butter chicken and my husband got the lamb vindaloo. Both were flavorful and yummy. We ordered naan which was a little too crispy & burnt for my taste. Solid Indian- will definitely order again.
