Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs

No wonder it's called Hungry Howies because Howie was hungry after eating this sized pizza. The pizza is expensive for the size. The "specials" are not really a special when the pizza is smaller than the average large.

Presentation was disappointing as it was burnt and hard.

Service was nice as the lady working the orders was kind. Ambiance is bland not an eat in restaurant. Will not go back.

Worst customer service. Don't tip until you get your food!!! This place has to be the worst Howie's in Florida. Literally ripped me off after messing up my order and kept the money (and tip!) for the food I didn't get. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else.

I've never been to Hungry Howie's before. Reviews weren't great, but I like to try new places. I'm on a low-carb diet and decided to try their No-dough pizza bowl. It was great! I noticed most of the reviews have to do with somebody else bringing the food to you, and that's going to be pretty typical as the time it takes to get it to you will certainly guarantee it will be cold with whatever they're bringing. I'm not quite sure why they blame hungry Howies, blame door dash or whatever service that brought it to you! I went for pickup, as I wanted it hot and fresh. It was piping hot in a box. All the ingredients were correct. Because it was a bowl it came with a knife and fork and a napkin, which you will need. I got it with pepperoni, ground beef, onion, peppers, and black olives. The "crust" underneath was all mozzarella cheese. Yum! The taste was really good and it was still hot when I got it home. This is a place I am going to return to!

I have been a customer of this location for years, many many years. I used to love getting hungry howies pizza but every time I order now I have had an issue with my order.
On one occasion I made an order online and once it said it was ready I headed over to pick it up. Once I got there the young guy at the front told me I had to wait 20 minutes with the worst attitude possible. I was in a hurry which is why I made the order online ahead of time. Another guy, the manager I presume, was really helpful and got the order out immediately.

A couple of nights ago, I made an order for delivery and I specifically picked the "Leave at front door" option because I was not home yet. The guy knocks on the door, doesn't use the doorbell which has the camera device and proceeded to leave with the pizza in hand. He had called me previously to verify the apartment number so I don't know why he didn't call me if no one got the the door. It was very suspicious to me. I have to motion sensor on which is how I found out he was even there.
I called and a lady told me he had left and would come back after his next delivery. I called 20 minutes later and she told me he was ten minutes away. After 20 more minutes I called again and asked for the manager. He had the guy there in 3 minutes. The pizza was cold by now and the guy knock on the door AGAIN (the manager had told him AGAIN to leave at the front).
I hate to give this place such a low raising because the manager is truly amazing, but this was a terrible experience.

By far the worse experience with hungry Howie's and the worst hungry Howie's when I ordered on ubereats they gave me the wrong food and it was cold. When I called the manager wasn't around and no one left a note after they offered to make it up. So he couldn't help. I will never eat here and have warned my coworkers to stay away and they've had bad experiences as well. Customer service doesn't exist to them nor does actually making the orders

Spent 30 minutes calling up places near me everywhere is out of food or doesn't have help this place is no exception.

Which is usually indicative of poor treatment of employees, low pay and no benefits.

Tried to place an order for delivery and they didn't want/ have the ability to take my money

"Short on employees no driver" is what I was told

Called ahead of time and glad I did as the order wasn't submitted by their system yet
Did get the order somewhat on time
They even let me borrow some bags to keep the pies warm

Decent pizza at a decent price
Nothing fancy
I'm ok with that

The prices are low, but the quality of the pizza wasn't too good. It tasted okay but honestly nothing of the ordinary. It was also badly cut, looked like a small child had done it
