Staple of DC for years. I don't get here often but am always pleased when I do. A carryout doing its best in carryout.

Get the cheesestesk egg roll and wings w/fries. Cash only, but there's two atms on site. Fast service. A perfect hole in the wall.

Of all the places in DC that claim to have good MUMBO sauce... this place get 1st place...

I get my 3pc wings and crinkly fries... and pray my stomach won't come back to haunt me hours later. Not to far from beloved HU campus.

Another fave of mine is the Philly cheese egg roll and dip that in some Mambo! Mannnn!!

Crab wontons are good too.

Coming from the West Coast, I didn't know there was a difference in how people do Chinese takeout/carry out. I usually wouldn't order wings and fries at a Chinese place but now I will be every time I can! The mambo sauce is a game changer! The wings and fries are crispy and delicious. We also got Lo Mein and you can't go wrong with that. They gave generous portions and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Ordered takeout from here and it was delicious!! I got the Shrimp Hanan and it was so flavorful and was a great deal for $7. I love that they actually put a good amount of veggies in it too. The food was ready within 15min and packed nicely!! The only downside is they only accept cash

Hole in the wall place. It's small and it looks run down but let me tell you, this place is LEGIT! Best cheap Chinese place around the area. The Philly egg roll was the best I've ever tried and let me start with the chicken with mumbo sauce. It was fantastic, the chicken was crispy and hot and their mumbo sauce is fire. The portions were huge and it did not disappoint. Crab Rangoon were filled with goodness and crispy.

This place is a bang for your buck. It's only cash only so be aware of that (ATM inside if needed). Overall, 5/5, it's cheap eats and great Chinese food. Best mumbo chicken w/ fried rice and Philly egg roll!

They don't pick up phone, have to go in and order I'm guessing.. waste of space.. put another spot here

If I has to describe this food in one word: BUSSIN!
Everything was so good from the crispy chicken wings to the French fries with the Mumbo Sauce on the side for your dipping pleasure.
The platter is inexpensive, under 10$. Where can you find that now a days for whole chicken wings and French fries?
I would recommend anyone looking for a cheap affordable bite to eat. Go on down to Howard China, you won't be disappointed.

Every time I come here for the last 20 years the food has been good each and every time. It's great for late night stops cuz that's the only time I do come.

The mambo sauce is ok. The service is like any other carryout don't expect bells and whistles. This is a neighborhood chicken spot.

Solid Chinese. I paid 13 dollars for 5 wings with shrimp fried rice. When I first received the box the chicken was hot and the fried rice looked on par with most Chinese places. I bit into the chicken and proclaimed it as the best meal that I've ever tasted then realized that I was really intoxicated at that moment. I took the rest of my meal home and ate it the next day when sober and can understand it's cult following. I was able to take that plate and split it into two full meals which is a bargain for a struggling college student.
