Homespun Kitchen

I have been on a eat more plants vibe this year and I was looking for a health based spot and this came highly recommended on Yelp. Parking here is a task since there's construction going on. I did park across the street behind the Sola Studios area. When walking up, it's a beautiful outdoor pavillion great to eat at especially when the weather is nice. When you order here, they have kiosks where you can place your order.

I did a BYOB - half grains, half greens, tempeh, pickled onions, roasted red peppers, avocado, shredded carrots, cucumber salad, and the cilantro lime cashew aioli sauce on the side. They brought the food out pretty quick, I would say maybe 5-7 mins.

Let me tell you - everything was so fresh! The cucumber salad is homemade and marinated in some type of amino sauce but it was my favorite. Along with the aioli sauce, it was creamy and not too tart from the lime. I really like that this place cooks everything fresh and the mixture of the warm grains with the salad just made everything mesh well together. I didn't leave feeling overly full or bloated at all. I can't wait to try the wrap and acai bowl here!

I ordered a salad for dinner and an acai bowl for the following morning during a recent work trip to Jax.

The salad was colorful, packed with nutritious foods and was good not great.

The acai bowl was disappointing. There wasn't much fruit, even less granola. More of an acai liquid drink than a bowl.

Not great overall, bordering on average.

Edited: The owner is blaming the customer. What happened to the customer always being right? Or taking responsibility for one's average food? And FWIW I could not have contacted you because I left town very early the next morning, hence my need for breakfast before any restaurants opened.

My mom, dad, and myself went for a quick dinner last night, and I can not overstate the kindness of the gentleman at the register! He saw I was Shazam'ing a song, and went over and told me what it was via the music control. My mom took a thousand years to order (no judgement, I get it), and he helped her every step of the way, even offering a taste of the vegan mac and cheese to see if it was up her alley (it wasn't up her alley, but it was up my alley for sure. A little smokier than non-vegans would expect, but as a vegan, I loved it).

The food was very good, with excellent portion sizes. I got a slightly varied Harvest Bowl and had zero complaints.

Parking felt a little funky, especially as we drove up in the dark, so keep an eye out as you approach Homespun Kitchen!

Just to reiterate, the guy behind the counter - and a lovely young lady in a cardigan - were just super kind. Major kudos to them!

For Earth Day Charter, we placed an order
the company lunches. We wanted healthy options that were fresh and unique from other luncheons we have had. Homespun was great to work with in our ordering process, and all wraps were packaged well, which made handling a ease. They have a lot of flavor choices in the wrap boxes, which offer 5 full 10 halves. You can also get big sized salads. They have other catering options on their website for review. Employees were happy and that is the wanted end result!

LOVEEEE! Walking up, there is a lot of construction nearby, but this is a hidden gem among it all. There is a cute covered patio with picnic tables out front which is really good for a nice day. One of the walls of the shop is made of a see through garage door which is adorable as well.

All of the workers seemed super nice and willing to help if you needed it. They have kiosks so you can take your time ordering, and they have a register if you need to order with a cashier. The service was a bit slow considering how empty it was but it was worth the wait! The vibe inside is very hipster and bright - soooo cute!

I tried the Mini Sweet Heat Wrap ($5.50) with the sauce on the side and wow was it good. The sauce is the perfect amount of spice and I loved the turkey bacon. I also got a Small Make-Your-Own Acai Bowl with granola, strawberries, blueberries, almond butter, and agave ($8.50 altogether, it was $6.25 to start, plus each topping was $0.75 except the agave and granola). Sooo good! It was a little melted by the time I got it, but it tasted amazing and satisfied by sweet tooth. My boyfriend tried the Regular Egg and Cheese Wrap with Ham and Sriracha added ($8.75 altogether, it was $6.25 to start, plus the ham was $2 and the sriracha was $0.50). He really liked his as well. We also got the Large 20oz Strawberry Lemonade ($4) which was so fresh and yummy.

I can't wait to come back and try some more items! It also seems like a cute place to study or do work if you like coffee shops to work at. Definitely check them out!!

A great new spot in the neighborhood. The service was awesome and they were very helpful. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The indoor and outdoor seating are both very inviting. This is a great addition to the area.

Cool spot! Interesting wraps Med Egg my favorite! Sweet heat wrap was really good! Sorry didn't take a picture trust me you will not be disappointed. Brought home a loaf of bread and banana bread. Friendly service, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

Came by this place for a quick and healthy breakfast. I was greeted by friendly people and quickly assisted as a first timer at Homespun. My husband and I ordered two wraps plus a delicious vanilla iced coffee. The food was freshly prepared and delicious! I really enjoyed the medegg wrap, those pickled onions inside the wrap are perfect. Before I left, I grabbed a smoothie that was to die for. I will gladly return to Homespun in the near future! I hope to see their menu expand soon, possibly to include breakfast scramble bowls.

I just wanted to leave a review because this place does it right.

I have been coming in a lot lately and not only is he politely and calmly training his staff (a lot but in a great way) throughout the day, they are also KILLING IT with their genuine happiness and excellent customer service. Everyone is so pleasant and willing to assist.

I commend Cody for his leadership skills and his hand picking of his staff.......
and I commend the staff for their ability to work well within theirselves and with customers that come in.
Just really can't say enough about this place and the staff.


To the owners:::: whatever you are doing to find this great team, DO MORE OF THAT!! Many places in this area aren't as customer centric (unfortunately), so to see this in our local community it's worth more than weight in gold because CUSTOMER SERVICE and great food matter when it comes down to our experiences and your bottom DOLLAR!

Carry out order made simple. Ordering on the website was fast and the food was ready quickly. We live close, but was worried about parking in the area for pickup-no need with the designated 10 minute parking spots. Food was fresh and delicious. Really enjoyed the roasted sweet potatoes and vegan Mac and Cheese in Mama's bowl and it was so much food! We are looking forward to building our own bowls next time.
