Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clinton

Great hotel especially if you have pets. They are very flexible. The only problems I had was you had to yell to get anyone at the front desk to talk to and the breakfast was not ready at 6. The breakfast sandwiches were frozen so that was a bummer. But otherwise they were really nice. However, I was overcharged but they said they will contact me.

I love this hotel!!! I can't say enough about the positive and clean experience we had!

The staff was extremely nice! The room was extremely clean to include the door knobs and light switches. The breakfast bar was very well laid out! There was a lot of parking and it was conveniently located next to an INDOOR water park!!! I can't say enough and this will be our go to hotel now!

Cockroaches!!! As soon as we checked in and sat down to eat out take out dinner we brought- I look down and there's a HUGE dead cockroach on the floor next to my foot. We immediately got all our belongings and went to front desk. Dedk clerk claimed she couldn't refund our money. Mrg would call us. Never heard from her. We were in room for a total of 15 mins. Disgusting!

Stayed here February 2016. Excellent service! Room was spotless and the people who work here are fantastic and friendly. They have a little store area with drinks, candy, ice cream and microwaveable dinners. In the morning they put out a HUGE breakfast spread...this is included in your stay.
The hotel is pet friendly, which is a plus! During the warmer months they have a water park next door with cool slide.
The only thing I question, but not enough to drop it a star is the fact that for the whole hotel, they have only one washer and one dryer for guests. When you travel cross country, you have laundry...for a family of four, that can be a lot. Thankfully when we needed to wash our clothes, we didn't have an issue, but that may change when the weather gets warmer and the rooms fill up.

This is a nice hotel. There were just a few things that bothered me about it, some of which could be changed and others not as much. Firstly, I was really hoping the shower would be a full tub, but alas it was just a shower. When I'm traveling, it's so nice to be able to take a bath and relax. I also know how much water that uses, so perhaps it's for the best. Secondly, the fitness center was kind of a mess. There were weights scattered throughout, the kind where you have to put the weight on the barbel. I'm used to hand weights that you don't have to put the weight on it, so I was caught off guard with that. Also all of the machines, treadmill, bike and elliptical, faced the opposite way of the TV. That was just awkward and not set up well. Lastly for the fitness center, the elliptical was so squeaky! I literally had to stop after a few minutes because I couldn't stand the noise and switched to the treadmill instead. Also there are windows where you can see the indoor pool next door, which was also awkward with little boys staring at me while working out.

And lastly overall, the fire alarm went off at 6:45 am. It was a false alarm, and I was already awake, but it make things end awkwardly again while trying to check out. Like I said to begin with, this is a nice hotel, I just think there is some room for improvement.

Wow. So glad I called ahead to check on the pet policy. I was told by front desk staff there are only five pet rooms in the entire hotel and that if I made a reservation and showed up and there was not one available, I would not be allowed to stay. The thing is, as far as I could tell, there was no way to reserve a pet room--at least not on the holiday inn website and certainly not on Expedia. I asked what would happen about a non refundable rate if this person refused to honor my reservation and she said I would have to call to try and get my money back. If this is a taste of their customer service, no thanks!

Stopped here during a storm on my drive through. The power was knocked out of the whole city, but they had a generator on with one outlet that had power still. Buford and another nice lady were m enough to give me a room for half off because it was late and there was no power.

Arrived late and was given the last room! Only a king bed available so they gave us a roll away, for $15. Extra! It was midnight so we agree and get to our room to find out it had never been cleaned ! Sooo, we left as there was no cleaning staff! On the road again.
My opinion is I would call in advance and make sure all rooms are clean!

I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the hotel. The fact that it shares space with the Water Zoo makes it an awesome place to stay with children.

My complaints? The air in our room just did not work, when staff was told the credited our card $50 but it was still very uncomfortable . They advertise as offering late check out and we asked only to be told it wasn't something they offered in weekends. I, being stubborn, asked again and was given a 2 hour extension. The auto pancake machine failed a lot and the eggs/sausage were inedible.

I will stay there again but will 100^ ask for the smaller water zoo packages.
