Family restroom has broken door lock and no purse hooks in stalls in women's room.
Come on: if we are going to spend our entire paychecks here, at least, give all the ladies a nice place to have a potty break.

I go there only because their canvas is cheaper than anywhere else. I really don't like going shopping and feeling like I'm having religion should down my throat. Hobby Lobby makes me feel this way.

HAHA WOW!!! Unbelievable experience here yesterday, and one I am honestly bilwildered over. I went in for some beads for a Christmas gift I was making. I was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Just went in, went to the beads and looked around. As SOON as I walked back to jewelry I heard a "security check" in jewelry department. Funny, that's exactly where I am!! Keep in mind, I dress more alternative. Sure enough, an employee showed up, pretending to put stuff away while watching me because they thought I was suspicious looking. Because I was in all black. She proceeded to follow me around every single isle until I went to check out. I brought it up to the cashier with blue hair and she got so quiet and said nothing the rest of the transaction. I assume out of embarrassment? Either way, how dare you judge me because I don't dress like everyone else. Especially since I did nothing to give you the impression I was trying to steal. This is the exact reason I don't shop here anymore. Bunch or religion freaks who are afraid.

Again, the same lady! How odd!

Typical Hobby Lobby as far as lay out and selection. Store was very clean and well organized even with being busy when we were there.

I had a question to where something might be and the employee was friendly and knowledgeable.

Bathrooms were clean and plenty of registers were open as we checked out. This Hobby Lobby was a winner!!!!!

Considering the location of the town, this is the closest equivalent to a Michael's or Joann Etc. craft and fabric store.

My mum shopped here quite a lot and found their products generally adequate. She was a person to return items if they didn't meet her demands and it was rare that she returned anything to this store.

Their fabric department is adequate though she said that the thread for crocheting was a bit pricey. The crafts products were priced reasonably but they were often out of stock on sale items. Tuesday is apparently the day when they receive their new shipments, so things may be sold out Tuesday afternoon again.

One important note is that they run a 40 % coupon every other week in the Sunday Palladium-Item (and probably Muncie's The Star Press newspaper.

The cashiers and other staff are always friendly and helpful. They also have stores in Muncie and Hamilton, as well as further distances.

The staff here is so helpful! They ordered frames specific to what I needed and answered all my silly questions.

1-prices, way way too high unless it's on 50% sale, which seems like certain things always are on sale. Maybe you should just lower prices across the board

2-staff, good luck getting help in store and be prepared to wait to check out. either cashier is slow or there's only one lane open with 15 people in line or both.

3- don't get me started on the closed on Sunday thing, that's the day I can shop. It's a business and they have that right but then again if you're not open someone else is.

I'm currently bitter about having wasted my lunch break at Hobby Lobby, so this review might be a little bit biased, but there are several things about this store that make me cranky.

      1. They're closed on Sundays.

      2. While we're on that subject, the amount of religious stuff in here, including the Muzak piped into the store, just seems strange to me. I mean, I'm a Christian and I'm not offended by it, but it seems sort of... I don't know... passive-aggressive, maybe?

      3. The prices. When not on sale (see next gripe), they're ridiculous. Does anyone actually purchase anything at full price here?

      4. The markdowns. What's with constantly having certain things marked at 50% off and other things are either never marked down or have very specific exceptions? Like, why are pre-made frames always 50% off but custom framing is only discounted once in a blue moon? I just went to purchase several skeins of a certain brand of yarn because the weekly ad said it was marked down. I find out at the checkout register that it's not the entire brand; just the 100% cotton version of it. ANNOYING. STUPID.

I think that'll do it for my griping about Hobby Lobby. Even when I don't have experiences like today's, something about this store just feels off to me. However, the tall lady with the glasses in the framing department is great to work with - she's very thorough, creative and practical.

I consider myself a crafty person, so having a place like Hobby Lobby available for little needed pieces and parts of projects makes life so much easier. The store is always clean and the people there are more than helpful. They may be ahead of WalMart when it comes to releasing the new holiday items for a holiday that's four months away, but when you have the room for it, why not put it out super early! Quick recommendation: Don't forget to go online and print off a 40% off coupon before you go anytime!

I make jewelry- no, not a couple of cutesy strung pieces a year... I make a LOT of jewelry and I use fairly high quality supplies to do so. Generally, I order my supplies online because I can get better deals on larger quantities, but since I've been known occasionally to change my mind or forget to order one component of something I have planned, I'm really glad Hobby Lobby has a decent selection of supplies available. Their regular prices are a bit high, but not outrageous, and when they throw on their (usually) 50% off deals every few weeks, I am a happy lady!

Nearly all the time, they have a coupon, which you can use by showing them your phone with the coupon image on it, for 40% off one regularly priced item. You just have to remember to update it each week because the code changes. I still print mine, and when I do, I print a whole sheet of them and distribute the others to other shoppers who don't have one. It makes their day.

As for one reviewer's complaints about their being closed on Sunday and playing Christian music, it's because the founders believe that their employees should have time to worship if they want on Sunday and if not, time to spend with their families. The music usually is instrumental, so unless you're already familiar with Christian music, you're not going to notice anyway and if you're going shopping for the music, then you're probably in the wrong store anyway. I admit, I've forgotten about that and was disappointed after driving from Connersville to find them closed on a Sunday, but that's their decision and I admire them for it. If they're willing to let their employees have the day off, losing a lot of business, because they're steadfast in their beliefs, more power to them! Jo Ann's is open on Sundays and is perfectly willing to take your money if they have what you need.

My biggest gripe with Hobby Lobby, and the main reason for the 4 stars instead of five is how much poorly constructed home decor stuff they have. We don't even bother looking at anything made of wood from there now because we know it's going to have a split, be misaligned, missing screws, or hardware. The home decor stuff is so overpriced and poorly made that I really wonder how they sell any of it.
