Had a great experience today! Had shrimp and grits, whiting, Mac and cheese hush puppies. It was all so fresh and tasty. The owner was so sweet. Would recommend and eat again if closer. Prices were very reasonable and love supporting local. Give it a try. Apple cobbler was yummy at home warmed up with ice cream!

Hi am a Whiting aficionado and was excited to try this new concept and space to enjoy dinner with my friend. It's in a cool food hall that had an art exhibit going on at the time so you have a variety of cuisine's to select from and a nice open space with outdoor patio space as well. There is also a bar attached so you can get some adult beverages to go with your meal.

We were greeted quickly when we arrived as there weren't many people ordering. I got the whiting dinner.

I would have to say it was just OK. The whiting was definitely over seasoned and leaned into the salty side. Whiting is such a beautiful light flaky fish that it doesn't require a heavy batter or over seasoning to celebrate the flavor. It also had a heavy crust of seasoning on it. I don't think I will be back nor is this one that I will recommend to others.

Saw them on Fox 5 and decided to give them a try. So glad I did! Everything was yummy! We had the fried whiting meal with Mac and cheese and collards (with smoked turkey), and the whiting and shrimp combo meal. The Mac wasn't my fave but it was still pretty good. But those collards...Whew! And the fish was fried right! The fries where good too. Generous portions. I ate all of my food, which is rare. I wish they had dessert. Good customer service. They are located in Mixt Food Hall.

Omg stop the press this place is amazing!!! Best idea for Good Friday I ordered the fish, shrimp & lobster tails and these options did not disappoint. I ordered the greens w/ turkey meat , tuna salad with a twist & Mac and cheese with robust flavors all these sides orders slayed the day. The environment is clean & communal. A kind stranger seated next to me shared his chicken wings with me and they were crispy, fresh & seasoned well!!! This black owned business even has a loyalty card program & the staff here is super friendly and explanatory the chef even offered me a free sample

Heard about this place on the news during black history month so I had to give them a try. Today I had their Creole Fried Whole Wings and The City Island. Both are AMAZING. I have also had their shrimp & grits during Sunday brunch which was also AMAZING. Not a big fan of the location because of the distance but definitely worth my drive every time.
