A delicious Indian twist on BEC, donuts, & lattes. Wanted to co-work in a new environment & this hidden grounds was cutest - somehow I've passed this coffee shop never knowing it existed! The food was amazing, the cashiers were nice & helpful, and the drink was amazing too! They had outlets, comfort, & culture...what more can I ask for!
I was there about 4hrs and there was always at least 2 seats available. I couldn't finish all my food during that time - it was so filling surprisingly. The sandwich is larger than you'd imagine & the donut is large & quite sweet so not easy for me to eat in one sitting.
Definitely can't wait to return for other menu items!
      Go, enjoy!

      Very cute coffee shop!

The prices are very good, and they have really innovative donuts. I tried the pistachio donut, and it was amazing. The dough was soft and fluffy, and it was not too sweet. The cream cheese croissant was heavenly - semi-sweet cream cheese and crispy, warm bread. I haven't tried the drinks yet, but I saw lots of creative options.

Staff are extremely friendly. There is wifi, lots of tables, and a great study environment.

This review is based on the donuts. I so wanted to like them, and since they were gulab jamun, it was pretty unique. The bases were all a bit cloying, and it was hard to take more than one bite. I preferred the rose the most, which surprisingly wasn't too floral or drenched in Rose syrup, while the pistachio was the worst with a chemical artificial taste to it. The Salted caramel and the apple crumble were just alright too.

I got a masala chai as well which was good and flavorful (albeit with lots of sediment in the bottom), so I'd stick to the non-donut options here.

Came in here for an early morning matcha. I wanted to try a stove top chai but couldn't do the sugar unfortunately. The staff was so wonderful in explaining the sugar to me as well and patient with me as I made my order decision. I opted for a matcha latte with almond milk and let me tell you it was one of the best matchas I have had in the US from a coffee shop. It was fresh, the almond milk was incredibly creamy and it was filled to the brim! I couldn't stop drinking it and it was gone fast. It was $7 but honestly the quality was amazing and I would happily spend that again for their matcha. The place itself was so cute inside as well and big for a coffee shop in Hoboken! Would definitely come back here especially to try their stove top chais. Their pastries and donuts looked amazing as well.

Oh, I just wanted to share my thoughts about this place! While the coffee might not be mind-blowing, I have to say the chai tea is absolutely delightful. It's so full of flavor! As for whether I'll be back... well, maybe

Hidden Grounds is a great coffee & food spot near the path trains. With a full menu of unique and delicious coffee drinks, there is truly something for everyone (and after trying multiple different drinks, you cannot go wrong). The food is also filling and yummy. Plus the space is cute and great to do work or chat in!

I finally managed to visit the Hidden Ground Coffee location near the Hoboken Train Station the other day. The shop was cute, spacious, and cozy. It also offered a width breadth of food and beverage items, all with an Indian flare. I ordered the Ginger Chai, which was a fiery hot blend of soothing spices. In fact, you could feel the granular spices in each mouthful of tea. Even with my addition of almond milk, the drink was served rather hot, which was nice on the cold afternoon. I did ask for them to leave out the added scoop of sugar they typically include and did not think the chai particularly needed it. In addition to accommodating that request, the staff was otherwise friendly. I was thrilled to find a new coffeeshop that was unique and noticeably different from the many others in town. I will definitely be back!

small independent cafe with pretty good coffee. I ordered a simple Americano and had it with a bit of 1/2 & 1/2. Nicely decorated with an Indian flair. Great place to sit and rest and relax. 1/2 a block from Hoboken Path & NJ Transit terminal

A few weeks ago I was hanging wirh my peeps in New Jersey for a few days.
My cousin decided to go to the dentist in an office 2 blocks away from this place.
Since I've always enjoyed the vinlbe in Hoboken I went with.

I got a welcoming vibe from the staff.
The coffee was nice and strong.
      It was very Chilled out.
I even made a client call from my computer to one of my mining clients in . It wasn't very loud and I think I didn't disturb anyone. My cousins dentist cancelled his root canal so we Chilled out another 2 hours. This place is right near the path train and if I'm ever back in Hoboken I will for sure come back. By the way there was music but I appreciated it not being so loud

Love this place, went here a bunch of times when we were staying in Hoboken!

The New Orleans cold brew coffee with oat milk is incredible. Also had the Bombay sandwich which was pretty good and a solid chocolate croissant. The rose chai is a hard pass if you've had good chai before.

Staff is super nice as well. Would def go again for the coffee!
