      SERVICE
early checkin was free & the process was fast. No electronic/tap pay based on how they processed my card.
      Uncovered self-service parking is free.
      Late checkout offered (1hr).
The booking.com pictures misrepresented our room but the manager was very empathetic & quickly with resolved the issue.
Very timely on answering phone calls.
      5* customer service!

      ROOM(Suite)
Very homey & well-appointed room with good cleaning standards.
      highlights:
Carpet throughout, functional windows for fresh air, powerful AC unit, large work desk, ergonomic rolling chair, conveniently placed waste + recycling receptacles, huge leather sectional.
The couch is an awkward sit for those with short frames/legs, but not terribly uncomfortable.
Plenty of storage space for personal items & comfortably spacious for 2

      BED
      Clean, sturdy, & well-maintained.
The queen mattress wasn't firm enough for me but it's great for those that like softer profiles.
      Bedding was cozy.

      BATHROOM
      Great cleaning standards.
Design is a bit dated but very functional & well-maintained.
Combination shower is a bit tight & the water pressure was weak. Ventilation is very strong.
      Dove bath products are provided.

      TV
Small older model Samsung TV on swivel base with universal remote for Dish set top box . The HDMI connection is flimsy so it took some time to troubleshoot before we could actually watch TV. Most of the buttons aren't compatible with the TV & require multiple presses perfectly aimed at the receiver to register inputs. Not great for navigating the thousands of channels.

      WI-FI
      FREE ENCRYPTED WI-FI!
Performance is average on throughout but it's secure & we appreciate that
      Great QoS.
      Video streaming: good
      Online gaming: great
      Video chatting: good
      Nerd stats:
      Download: 11 - 15 Mbps
      Upload: 3-6 Mbps

      FOOD
      DoorDash/UberEats friendly.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance.
Breakfast provided & the eggs/omelets taste great!
Full fridge & kitchenette in the room.
      Mini coffee bar.
      Full size microwave.

      NOISE
Great noise isolation & no complaints with guests or cleaning staff. External noise from the nearby Highway & parking lot littering can be loud.

      VERDICT
great service, good food, & competitively priced.
Not the best sleep but this is easily the best hotel within this stretch of Livermore.

Super disappointing. My daughter and I were in town for a Mother Daughter weekend to wine taste and wonder the downtown area. Reservations were easy to make online (kinda pricey) and I believe the hotel is the closest to town so it was also convenient. I didn't realize how close to the freeway it was, and was a little concerned at first, but didn't hear any noise from that at all during our stay. It is however, located adjacent to a gas station which gets a lot of traffic and not everyone is quiet.

We arrived around two, which was early for check-in, but they were able to get us in early, which was great. The lobby is clean and modern, and the ladies at the front desk seemed nice enough. It was the room that was the problem.
***DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 317!!!***
I don't know why I didn't realize these rooms have kitchens. Completely missed that when booking which may be one reason it was almost $400 for 2 nights. Ouch!
But the smell ... omg the smell was just awful. It was clear that a prior guest cooked something in there that was pretty potent. By the time we checked out, everything we brought in absorbed that smell. When I mentioned to the manager at the front desk, she totally shrugged it off. Yes, I should have asked to move rooms but honestly, we were exhausted and just wanted to get some rest once we made it back to the room.

And let's talk about the PAPER THIN WALLS!! Oy! The young couple next door were having a "REAL GOOD TIME" at about 2am and it was literally like we were in the same room. So much spanking ... clearly she had been a naughty girl.

Water in the shower was a dribble and the water itself felt gross. Not sure if it's hard water or soft water but it was just gross.

No screens on the window which faced the parking lot and the Chevron (lucky us) so opening the windows to try and air the room out was risky since it let in flies and other bugs. The kitchen was old and in bad shape. The headboards were fake leather and were literally shredded.

The ONE positive was the complimentary breakfast was not terrible. They had eggs, cheese omelets, sausages, hash browns, lots of toast choices, waffles, yogurt, cereal and some fruit.

I would probably not stay here again even though the location was super close to down town.

      1 for a decent breakfast

On first glance, the hotel seemed nice enough. But look a little closer and it's clear they have issues. These chairs are just nasty. These were in the dining room....makes one wonder where else they're cutting corners.

I enjoyed my 4 night stay. Clean room with a Jack in the Box out my window. (I like Jacks salads and soda water) I would have given a 5 but a number of exuberant other guests were in hearing range. I wear earplugs no matter where I stay so wasn't a problem for me. They had a very nice breakfast room with eggs sausage bacon oatmeal OJ coffee fruit etc. Comfy beds and convenient to Livermore's restaurants shopping and freeway. I only wish I would have joined their little points club because I stayed at more Wyndoms along the way in Ventura and Anaheim.

Super happy with my stay at Hawthorn. The check in process was fast and easy, every employee had a smile, and the room was clean and comfortable. Even the bed was comfortable! I forgot my AirPods when I checked out and I received a call from the front desk asking if I wanted them to mail them to me. I would definitely stay here again. Great service.

This hotel is a piece of shit the staff is incompetent the manager is a piece of shit the "elevated cleaning standard " is a joke. And at anytime they will change your guaranteed rate to whatever the fuck they feel like. Don't stay at this cheap ass hotel, complementary breakfast is a fucking joke all the reject cereal old stale coffee no choice for tea other than some disgusting pomegranate green tea one single banana and juice out of a machine. Mind you breakfast is from 6-9:30 I went at 7 and this was what I found for breakfast.

I had a mixed experience, but on the whole this place was good to me. I'll specify what I did and didn't like just for anyone who values specific things more than I do.

      GOOD:
+ The front desk staff is super friendly. They'll almost always greet you and bid you farewell.
+ The continental breakfast was better than I thought it would be. It gets old day after day, but there is much more variety than the usual muffins and coffee. The highlight for me was the almond milk. The disappointment was the bananas were all underripe.
+ There appears to be some regular social events several times a week - I didn't go to any, but I thought that was cool. It's sort of like an apartment complex that way.
+ The room had a good amount of outlets and free Wifi. I've had issues with other hotels in both of these areas.

      BAD:
      - The room cards are ridiculously sensitive. My two cards got demagnitized three times over six nights, even when I was being careful. One of the times I asked the front desk to fix it, they forgot to give me the replacement, so I just let that card stay demagnitized.
      - There were black smudges on my sheets, although they were small and not nearly as bad as what another reviewer received. It looked like pencil eyeliner.
      - The AC system was whack. It was either too cold or too hot. Maybe I'm an idiot but I couldn't set it correctly. Also, room service would always turn it on while I was out. Fortunately there is a nice little balcony, so I kept the door open with the AC on to strike the right balance (silly, I know).
      - The bathroom sink was weird. The spout was too close to the back edge of the bowl and the way the water comes out splashes off your hands.

Elizabeth, the manager, told me through my room door that I had to be quiet or they'd kick me out.I was crying... by myself. Here because i was held up at gun point at home. Haven't slept in five days. They knew .. wanted to set expectations so told them... no warning, just threat after $200 a night, through the door. I'm not complaining about the prostitution I know goes on here, yet they tell me I'm gonna go? Someone yes crying but just wanting to feel safe? Not right

Also, I'll finally disclose, my quadriplegic brother tried to stay here but left because the front desk employee parked his motorcycle across the access ramp and refused to move it.
