H and H Restaurant

When in Macon, you must visit this place if you're wanting a great meal.
I walked in, just me and was greeted kindly. The lady seated next to me suggested the pork chop. So I got that and some catfish and sides. Plus some fried green tomatoes. Those were so good.
Everything was delicious and came out fast.

Back again in Macon and a must stop to eat is H and H. I ordered their special/ oxtails with collard greens, red beans and rice. The oxtail tasted so good and tender. A must try if it's listed in their chalk board. What a treat !

Forks down for this review ! The Allmans ate here and so should you. Don't miss breakfast. . Excellent food top notch diner service. Feels like a visit to your grandmas house. Enjoy ! Highly recommended.

Idk how I've lived in Macon my entire life and have never been to H & H but I found out what I've been missing! Stopped in for brunch and I had a chicken biscuit with bacon jam, cheddar, and pimento cheese on it and it was phenomenal! The hashbrown casserole was not so great -- barely like warm, under salted, and mostly tasted like mashed potatoes. I won't get that again but I can't wait to go back and try several other menu items! Service was excellent, too!

If you want some home cooking, fast, and amazing service and food this is it! The dark meat fried chicken is amazing and the fish is just as good. All of the sides are perfect, but the bread pudding is the final cherry on top. Don't miss this little hole in the wall, you will regret it! Peach cobbler was also a great way to finish the meal!

The food and service were so good! This place is a gem and if you're lucky enough to get Keke as your server, she will make your day!

Best meat and 2 or 3 I've had in a while. I'm a huge S and S Cafeteria fan but H and H always does better.
Service is always fast and well mannered.

Stopped here by recommendation of a local and it was exactly what we were looking for! Food was authentic and so flavorful!!

Im an Allman Brothers fan and I knew they are from Macon, GA so I thought I'd come thru and check things out. They called into this restaurant often and there are some cool picks of them on the walls. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe to it. True to form, the clientele is diverse. I had the 'Ramblin Man. Had to do it, it's one of my favorite songs.

Anyway, It's something you don't get in restaurants these days. If you youngins want an experience in a restaurant like in the movies, this is a good place to check out. The food was great and everyone was really friendly. I enjoyed talking to the waitresses and the people at the tables near me.

That's what it's all about after all. You can't not feel and miss the music history and see all the great memorabilia.

I always try to stop here when I'm traveling through the area! I've been 4 times now.
I love the fried chicken, pimento cheese, deviled eggs and just about everything else. I love the atmosphere from all the music posters on the wall to the great southern music of all kinds playing.
Friendly staff. Historic place.
