About the Business
Independent craft beer from St. Croix... brewed on the island, for the islands! The Leatherback turtle, perfectly embodies the spirit of the company as these majestic sea turtles are world travelers, yet those born here always return, recognizing the special quality of the island. The brewery and tasting room are located in the William Roebuck Industrial Park on the south side of the island. Several styles of beer are being brewed with some featuring local ingredients. Beer is canned and kegged on site. Visitors can tour the facility and learn about the brewing process. The tasting room features an indoor and outdoor bar with a family friendly atmosphere.

Jason C.Jarrell, TX482309Apr 30, 2024Stopped here to add more beers to my Untappd beer checklist, and I must say it was pleasant to see a place in St. Croix that took brewing and food so seriously the bartender gave us amazing service and the very laid-back family atmosphere and drinking was a pleasant surprise on our trip back to our hotel!! Not only did we enjoy the food, but the beer selection is great and I promise you will not be disappointed. If you are a beer connoisseur this is a must stop for anybody who visits Saint Croix!!!

We just happened upon the LeatherBack Easter Egg Hunt. What a great event for the community. Not only did they host an egg hunt for the kids, but they also had a DJ, face painting, and a dancing Easter bunny that you could take pictures with.

Regarding beer, I liked the Saison. My husband chose the Irish Stout.
For food, I chose the hummus plate. They also have pizza, nachos, salads, wraps, etc.
The brewery is located near the airport, so you can stop by on the way in or the way out.
It's interesting because they have a bike shop inside the brewery.

Leatherback definitely excelled in customer service, ambiance, and fun! We arrived as they were playing live music and bingo. Everyone was having an amazing time including the staff. We arrived for a tasting and our host, Mikey P. happily obliged and poured us our first tasting for us to enjoy as we began the tour.
He was informative, kind, and you could tell he genuinely enjoyed his job. He gave us a good overview of the brewery, gave us insight about weekend events, and shared his recommendations on things to do.
It was a nice kickoff to our trip and I'd definitely recommend it to all those visiting.

Leatherback makes some great beer, I'm partial to "Island Life" myself. We've been having it all over St Croix, so decided we'd stop in and visit the brewery. They don't have any tours of the place, but we went up to a viewing stand and saw the packaging going on. From the big brew kettles, to the cans, lids and labels on, to becoming a case and on to the pallets and off they go. It was kinda cool to watch the process. They had all their beers on tap there. The food was pretty much limited to pizza, so we passed on lunch there. Everyone was welcoming and friendly!

Just had beer. Hazy IPA. Very good. Nice place to have a few brews. They do have pizza and calzones. We went on the brewing tour.
