Is there a two for one special on Monday evening?
A:
According to their website, there is a "Senior Monday" special for individuals over 55 years old and who hold a paradise club card. You can do a BOGO for lunch at $14.99 or dinner at $19.99.

I'm not sure what to rate Grand Palms other than "not so grand" anymore.
So, hubby and I were going to take in the Buffet yesterday, which was my husband's birthday.
I brought up the Yelp review and my jaw dropped when I saw the price was $26.95!
Awww hell no. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Soooooo
I saw they have a 2 for 1 special on Monday's. Ok, Thats more like it.
We arrived just after 11 am and were seated. Our drink order was taken and I grabbed a plate and headed for the chow down. I platter up some watermelon and bread pudding.... In leau of a salad. The bread pudding was gosh darn good. It was hot and had a nice sauce over it. My next trip was over to the steam trays. I was surprised. There were not a great deal of selections.
I grabbed me some fried chicken and sauteed cabbage. The cabbage was amazing. I'm a fan of this cruciferous veggie. It was paired with BACON. I went back for seconds, it was that good. I also sampled the roast beef. It was pretty typical buffet fair. More medium than medium rare. I dumped some horseradish on it. Why? Cuz I like my beef to quiver and moo.
I hit the pastery case. Lots of yummy sugar laden treats to choose from. I settled on the coconut cream pie. It was lip smacking good.
At that point I needed a wheel barrow to get to my car.
Would I come here again? Probably not. I don't think the selection of eats is vast enough to warrant a return visit. I don't consider a steam plate of once frozen peas and carrots legit. Neither are mashed potatos that were once powder.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 5, 2017
Pretty good buffet that served prime rib for dinner. A bit pricey at $20 per person especially since their variety of food did not include much.
The service was good, we had an older man as a server and he continuously checked up on us and brought us steak knives immediately when he saw our plates with prime rib.
At 20$ per person the buffet should consider putting out more food rather than just a few dishes from each cuisine. They had an American, Asian, Mexican and Italian buffet but each had very little to choose from.
Only part of the buffet that was extensive was the desserts and the salad bar which is the cheapest to put out. I wouldn't venture here since it is out of the way but if I wanted to have more than 1 piece of steak I'd come by.
They should create doors to close off the buffet from the casino because it's pretty disgusting when you are eating and all you smell is cigarette smoke -- definitely opt to sir farther back into the buffet and closer to the food.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Min Joo L.Garden Grove, CA35234462May 12, 2019
Had a buffet at the Agua Caliente on my second day at the hotel. I had high expectation of this place, but it was unfortunate that the buffet was below my expectations. The service was good though and attentive. For the food, only the salad and the dessert was good. The pork ribs were too salty and cold, and my mom told me that korean kal bi meat was kind of smelly and salty too.
The buffet was also small. I heard that the buffet went under renovation. Is that why there is no sushi? No crab meat??
For the dessert, I enjoyed the double chocolate cake and the creme brulee. The creme brulee was cold, but it was edible. I love cookies, but the cookies weren't that good either.
The price was over 40 bucks including tips, and It's sad to say that I won't go here again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mike L.Henderson, NV62014779Apr 22, 2019Updated review
I haven't been here since the remodel and after my extremely disappointing visit to the Oasis Buffet at Spa Resort (the other casino owned by Agua Caliente just a few miles down the road), I did not have a lot of high expectations. After my visit on Easter Sunday, I realized just how badly another casino buffet has been ruined in favor of another aspect of the casino.
The buffet has literally been chopped in half to make way for a small food court and to boost revenue by adding more slot machines. It really annoys me when casinos only focus on gaming and not other aspects of the casino like food, entertainment, shows, etc. After my many years of frequenting this buffet, I had realized that all the good times I had here for Sunday brunch had finally come to an end. I didn't even bother trying the food after witnessing how the remodel has ruined everything. Based on other reviews I have seen on Yelp regarding the food, I am probably not missing anything anyway. The environment here is what made the food so enjoyable for me but now that environment is no more.
Looks like Agua Caliente is turning into another one of those casinos with the "corporate" mentality like MGM and Caesar's. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here anytime soon as this place has seen way better days. Truly a shame!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 18, 2016Previous reviewNo more lobster included with your Sunday brunch.
Apr 18, 2016Previous reviewJust found out that you can now get a whole lobster with your Sunday bunch if you have a Paradise Rewards Club casino card. You only get ONE lobster per person, per brunch but it is very good. Includes butter for dipping and lemons.
On a side note service doesn't seem to be as responsive as it used to be. I sometimes have to flag the waiters/waitresses down just to have them take my drink order when I first sit down.Mar 16, 2015Previous reviewI just signed up for the Paradise Rewards Club (which is the Player's Club for Agua Caliente) this past weekend and found out that, by doing so, you get 20% off the buffet everytime you eat there, REGARDLESS of how much you put into the slots! Fantasy Springs doesn't have that offer!
Feb 17, 2015Previous reviewI only took off one star here because of the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is a little dark and not quite as bright and cheery with windows and a nice view of the desert area that Fantasy Springs has (another fantastic casino buffet about 20 minutes from Agua Caliente).
The only thing the Agua Caliente Grand Palms Buffet has over Fantasy Springs is variety. This buffet is definitely larger than Fantasy Springs but the food is just as good.
Their champagne Sunday brunch is one of the best I've ever had. Service is good and beverages are even self-service if you don't want to wait for the waitress to keep refilling your drink for you, although they are very good about refilling drinks here. - Oct 11, 2018
Was actually disappointed last time we came here for lunch. Not sure if it's because they are renovating but the food selection was cut in half.
The soup I got s as not hot. The gravy section was coagulated and just lukewarm. The fried chicken station was a mess. Crumbs and drippings was everywhere. No one seemed to be checking or cleaning the station.
Aside from that, our server was great. Didn't need to ask for things. She just came and refilled our drinks.
This buffet is inside the casino, so be prepared to be tempted by blinging slot machines. ^_^Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Caitlin M.Beverly Hills, CA05041Jun 17, 2019
Do not eat here. I will explain:
I came here on Christmas for their holiday Buffet and they were under construction. It was so disgusting that my husband and I got our money back and drove down the the Agua Caliente in Palm Springs. The manager was nice and said to return when it was done being rebuilt. I ASSUMED that meant the food would be better.
Fast forward 6 months and now it's open and going. I Called to see if children were allowed at the buffet and the woman on the phone is so sweet and told me that because it is Monday and if I have the Ace card, it is actually buy 1 get 1 free.
We purchase our lunch and we go sit down. We waited 15 minutes to order our drinks and no one ever came. So we decided that we would get-up-and-go get food. I got Turkey, mashed potatoes, broccoli and eventually some baked ziti. All of it was disgusting. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. My stomach just started turning. So salad. How could you screw up a salad? The sad thing is, they are drastically lacking in salad options. This is supposed to be a buffet yet there were only 3 dressings and it was crammed in the small corner next to the ice cream so it took 10 minutes just to fill up on a salad.
All of my daughter's food was disgusting as well, fried chicken, yuck. She eats EVERYTHING too...so this should tell you something!
The dessert was OK, but the woman behind the counter was super grouchy. She made my daughter feel bad for being a little indecisive and slow.
Then I look at my bill and realize that they charged me for he dinner. It was about one o'clock and it still should have been lunch. The dinner price is 1799 and the lunch price is 1299. (Cheaper with an ace card). I got to the front desk and let the woman know that I was miss charged and she said no, when you do the buy 1 get 1 free we charge you as if it was dinner. What the ACTUAL HELL IS THE POINT IN THAT?? Are you kidding? Wait this has to he a joke? No...no it's not? Ughhh. Scam! If you are going to offer LUNCH at buy one, get one free...offer lunch pricing. Because people arent stupid.
I was mad. And I will never come back.
So go to the PALM Springs buffet. Its amazing. People are nice, theres more room, better chefs, etc. Do not go here...its barely a step up from microwave meals and they will scam your wallet with some BS pricing and when asked why you will get the runaround.
Gahhh! *angry*Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2018
Went a few weeks ago on a Friday night. Probably good if you like seafood, but not worth your time otherwise. Everything I tried from various stations were cold or room temperature when they should have been warm/hot (soup). The desserts were mediocre. The salad bar was average. I didn't even try the pizza because it looked like it was 4 days old. Overpriced for the quality. I won't be going back.
On a positive note, the staff was friendly & efficient.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gavi H.Palm Desert, CA19850602Nov 24, 2018
I've been coming here for years for the Thanksgivings dinner buffet and have always been astonished by the commitment to excellence at this buffet; But after arriving this year and finding out they have remolded and the Grand buffet isn't so Grand anymore. I must admit that the smaller serving area has made the lines for food service long and unpleasant but the food as always is delicious.
The kitchen staff is on par and the areas are very clean; The waitress we had was absolutely amazing and made are dining experience unforgettable. I will say it was disappointing to see the seafood removed from the buffet this year and the lines were extremely long; We definitely will be choosing the more expensive option buffet next year to avoid the long lines. I will say that if your a prime rib lover like myself then it's totally worth the wait.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Annette K.La Quinta, CA442Dec 3, 2018
Worst buffet in the valley now. We have been coming to the Agua Caliente Grand Buffet for years. It has always been our favorite go to for Sunday brunch and the different holidays, NOT ANYMORE!!! There is nothing GRAND about this buffet. It is half the size, no salad bar, gross gravy, mashed potato's we're over by the dried out scrambled eggs and were crusty. You could tell the workers weren't happy either. We will not be going back there and will no longer recommend to our customers.
