I had the pleasure of sampling the Organic Fair Trade Sumatra roast coffee during the South End Art Hop, and I loved it! The flavor was deep, bold, but not bitter. Along with the wonderfully crafted coffees, there was raw sugar, and even dairy free creamer choices (which is something not all coffee shops have).
The owner (and avid coffee lover), Kyle, was extremely nice, and generously explained to us his experience roasting coffee, and how he started his business. He also told us about the new location for Gold Ladder Coffee in Essex Junction that would be opening soon, and I was more than excited to check it out! Since I drive by it every day, it's going to be my new morning coffee stop.
If you love great, fair trade, organic, locally roasted coffee, check out Gold Ladder Coffee! I'm sure you'll be as satisfied as I was!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike K.Burlington, VT45Sep 18, 2017
I've stopped by here several times and I'm definitely a fan of their coffee. I've gotten the iced mocha and my girlfriend has gotten the white iced mocha. Both were delicious and well prepared. I also like that they ask what type of milk to prepare it with (whole milk is a calorie crime but oh so delicious). Customer service was excellent with friendly and attentive baristas.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars was for ambiance reasons. Both times we've stopped in twangy pop country music has been playing. I feel like a less polarizing musical choice might fit a coffee shop vibe better, and would certainly make me more inclined to order a drink there, hang out and maybe order another vs. getting my coffee and high tailing it out.
Overall a great coffee shop in an area that desperately needs cool spots like this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris G.Cambridge, MA4595Dec 29, 2016
Showed up late. Got a good coffee and a good conversation. Triple shot was the norm. Would recommend.

Reviewing the coffee, not the shop, as the door was locked at 8:00 on Saturday AM. Perhaps posted hours are incorrect? In any case, the bagel shop next door sells their coffee. I tried the 'light', which was great.

This place is awesome! They roast their own beans and so you're greeted with a heavenly scent as soon as you walk in. I ordered a dark roast pour-over coffee to go. Takes a little bit longer than getting an average cup of coffee to go, but the extra couple minutes are SO worth it. I like my coffee dark and black, but so often coffee gets sour and disgusting as soon as it drops below piping hot. Not so with this stuff! Very impressed--will for sure go back. Also a really cool study environment for students. The man behind the counter (the owner?) was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. All in all I love this place!
