Great guys. Great service. Great results.

My inspections was due and my car had a few items I wanted them to check out while they had it up in the air. All of my stated issues were examined and corrected.

very friendly and honest place. We went in for an alignment (decent price). When we went to pick up the car, he said "it wasn't really that bad" just off a little. Other places would've said it was horrible and needed additional work.....
We'll be going back with our other car very soon. Once pothole season is over.

Let me start by saying that prior to bring my SUV here I always felt like whenever I walked into a repair place the person behind the counter would see little cartoon dollar signs and begin to consider vacation options... I'll admit it, when it comes to auto repairs of any kind, I am a complete dunce.

I have taken my beloved (but beaten at 135,000 miles!) SUV here several times and have been unconditionally satisfied with the work, the price and the service. I have never felt ripped off - which, let's be honest, would be very easy to do since I know virtually nothing - and the last time I actually asked if the mechanic was *sure* my repair was only $11.00!

It's very comforting to know my vehicle is in such good hands. Bring your cars here - it's convenient and the prices are fair. Brian, the owner is a pleasure to work with. You won't be sorry!

      Updated review

Update My credit card company gave me back some of my money but didn't give me all money back because their policy is I need get 2nd estimate Since I traded in my car months earlier it would be impossible to get another estimate. The liar claimed he contacted me 1 month after I traded in the car And i was going get my car fixed elsewhere. How do I take my car elsewhere if I no have car?

I called Brain the liar and asked him when did you call me ? Brian the liar said fu I got my money. I then called credit card company demanding they reopen case and review phone records prove that Brian the liar didn't call then then offered some of my money back and informed since I can't get 2nd estimate that's all they could provide.

Avoid the dishonest liar who you will have bring your car back over and over because he can't fix it right the 1 St time and he lies. Worst kind mechanic can't fix the problem and he is liar .

I've been bringing my car here for quite a while. It's no longer owned by a Feldman, but they kept the name when new owners bought it, I just learned today. They decided that it would be too expensive changing signs and re-branding everything. This tells you something about their priorties -- they put their money and effort into equipment, tools, staff and service, not glitzy signs. What a concept! I've seen some of the same mechanics here for several years.

You won't find anything fancy at Feldman's Service Center. Their customer waiting area has a few chairs, a coffee machine and a 12-inch TV tuned to Capital news 9. Their magazine rack has current issues of various car magazines. Again, it shows these guys know cars. If interior design is important to you, don't come here. If you want to get your car fixed at a reasonable price, this is the place for East Greenbush and Rensselaer-area residents.

FSC has a quick-change oil service which is what brought me through the doors initially, when I first got the car. You drive up, beep your horn and they raise the door so that you can drive in. The price is comparable to what you would pay at the bigger-name oil-change places. There is only one lane, so it's first in, first out. If you happen to come at a busy time such as lunch hour or Saturdays, you might wait a bit longer, but never terribly long.

Today, I brought my car to FSC because I was beginning to hear a worrisome clunking and creaking noise in the front of the car when I made turns at slow speeds. (On the highway, there was no such noise.) The car is a 2001 Nissan Altima with 179,000 miles, so I didn't want to put a lot of money into an old car if it was something major like a cracked frame. On the other hand, if it was relatively minor like bad shocks, I would spend the money to keep the car going for a while longer. In any case, safety needed to drive my decision. I knew that Feldman's would give me the straight-up story.

Anyway, I parked outside and walked up to the counter. I wanted to set up a time where I could have them look at the car while I waited. Then, depending on how extensive the repairs were, I would make a decision on whether I wanted to spend the money and if so, drop the car off at a later time. To my surprise, the mechanic said they could look at my car in a few minutes, so I decided to wait.

True to their promise, in a few minutes, Mark called me back to the counter and told me that a support rod was broken. He said a new replacement would cost $58.99, plus the cost of labor to install it. He said there was staff available and they could do it then and there, and it would take about 35 minutes. I authorized the repair and said to go ahead.

I made a cup of coffee, sat down and started reading a car magazine (yes, looking at reviews for new cars). In about 35 minutes, the repair was done. My bill, including labor was $159.83 and I was on my way. I hadn't even finished my coffee!

Pleasant, professional and trustworthy. Really people, what else can you ask from an auto service center? I needed something very minor and routine today, but had such a great experience that I will surely be back in the event I need more serious work done (though here's to hoping that I won't!). Kudos to them.

I have always been absolutely impressed by the service that I receive here. From oil changes and inspections to major repairs they have always been professional and reasonably priced. The work is quality and done within a reasonable time-frame. I have sent many of my friends and family to have their repair and maintenance performed here. And they have all been equally pleased.
      Highly recommended!!

My colleagues referred me to Feldmans. I brought my car in to get rid of a heat shield rattle that plagues Subaru's. Also to have my brakes checked. When I called to make and appointment Brain said just to stop by and they would take care of it right off. I did just that and I was in and back at work in 1/2 hour. The mechanic checked my brakes and tightened the heat shield. Now there is no more rattle (thank you) and I still have time with my brakes.
The bonus was there was NO CHARGE! Most garages would have charged at least 1hr worth of labor and told me that I needed a complete brake job etc etc etc.... But not here. It is nice to see Local, honest, good professional businesses still do exist.

When the time comes for my brake work I will bring my car to Feldmans!
