Outstanding! Got the Salmon with a Bourbon glaze and a lb of Cole slaw. Killer! Pricey but well worth it.

I Was In Maplewood, I Seen It In Passing!
As A Pescatarian!
You Always Get Excited When Passing A Fish Market! "That's Our Spot"
I Did Have To Wait Outside A Bit.

"That Was Heart Warming"
It Didn't Have The Horrid Fishy Smell You Normally Get
At A Fish Market! They Had Lots Of Fish To Choose From. Even Some Items In Front Like Onions, Peppers, Shallots, Lemons, & Potatoes! Also Different Sauces To Choose From To Jazz Up That Seafood Meal!

I loved coming here. Friendly customer service with a variety of all your seafood lover needs. As a newbie to the neighborhood- this will definitely be my go to place for fresh seafood.

Simply the BEST fish market in my immediate area. I only wish he would open up another store in Westfield or Scotch Plains areas as I have to travel to him to get the BEST product available.

WOW! I called Freeman's because I wanted to do "raw bar" for me and 3 others but didn't know where to start. They helped me figure out what to order and how to order for the amount of people I wanted to feed. I set a pickup day and time and when I arrived today they were putting on the finishing touches, talk about fresh! They put everything on a beautiful platter and my guests were so impressed (and so were the people waiting in line outside Freeman's as I walked out with it!) On top of all that the staff were incredibly friendly and the quality was amazing. I will definitely continue to order from there!

Worst crab cake I ever ate. The meat was brown? NOT lump crabmeat. Expected much more.

I had to make cioppino and I needed mussels, shrimp and halibut. I got home to inspect my "catch." My shrimp was fresh smelling and already deveined. The halibut was top notch, the best I have had! This was my first time and I will be back!

This place is very, very, very, very expensive. More expensive than Whole Foods. I mean, I am not a seafood conneseuer but I know seafood that tastes bad and I know seafood that tastes good and great. This seafood was great. Awesome. But unless you are the super rich, like most of the residents in this uber affluent town (not me) or just have some extra cash from your recent pick 3 Lotto win (me), you cannot afford the seafood in this place. So yes, the fish was amazing but I just cannot get over the sticker shock. Customer service was top notch. The seafood salad was incredible. Salmon was phenomenal. Prices were out of this world. But hey, rich suburbanites have always needed that consumer experience that screams " I am so much better and richer than you!" This place pacifies their not so subtle arrogance to a tee. Swordfish steaks @ $28.00 a pound. That's $4.00 more than Whole Foods!!
