This was our first time there and we could consider going back. The decor was nice. We didn't know before going but there was happy hour going on so that was nice. We only tried the tapas plates but we didn't have any complaints and enjoyed the food.

I'm just doing this review because while recommending this restaurant to a co-worker I noticed it posted "permanently closed". I searched the internet and found this article: https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/food/neighborhood-tapas-spot-closes-after-15-years-in-vegas-3018043/amp/
Sorry Nina Manchev we didn't do better to support you, I wish you the best!
I hope I get to see your next creation one day. I know you'll come up with something special to continue sharing the taste of Bulgarian heritage and your touch of success.
Amazing food, service and cozy place. I love it all!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Mar 12, 2024Previous reviewI love this place. I've never had any bad experiences here, other than sometimes they have events and won't take reservations. Ok so I waited and got there the following week.
I was so hungry that forgot to take a picture.. ops!
But I did to a glass of sangria. It was delicious, refreshing and my friend liked it on the sweet side so they made it so perfect, I highly recommend it. One thing I loved from the drink was the presentation. They have the right glasses. I loved it!
We went last night, Monday. While I love the restaurant, small, cozy, it could get loud on a busy night, so Mondays are perfect!
Thank you, excellent service as well.Mar 29, 2021Previous reviewSo delicious and different, this is my fourth time here and every time I invite my friends I explain is different, delicious and fun.. and everyone agrees.

I loved Forte Tapas! The food is excellent. The Eastern European dishes make it unique from the typical tapas spots.
The restaurant has an eclectic style with interesting art all around. There is a lot to look at while you enjoy your food. It may not have the "wow" of a new restaurant, but it's a charming spot.
Our service was pleasant. The waitress appeared to be the only one for the whole restaurant. Everything moved smoothly other than waiting quite awhile for the check. The food arrived as it was prepared.
I started with Red Sangria which was in a huge glass with plenty of sangria to enjoy. It was refreshing and perfect paired with tapas.
Family style dining is the way to go here. Plenty of share plates and serving utensils were provided to comfortably do this. It's a pet peeve of mine when restaurants serve shareables without serving utensils.
The Bacon Wrapped Dates were one of my favorite items. Full of flavor and that perfect blend of salty and sweet. The Bulgarian Mixed Grill was my other favorite. This one is a meal so you could enjoy it alone if you wanted. It included three delicious meats with a tasty sauce, chopped onions, and toasted pita. So delicious.
Other items we enjoyed were the Shopska Salad, Chebureki, Spinach Roll, and Biscuit Cake for dessert. The Shopska Salad had fresh ingredients and was a nice, light salad. The Chebureki reminded me a little of empanadas. They were filled with beef and topped with fresh dill. The Spinach Rolls were more delicate with phyllo dough. The filling was tasty. The Biscuit Cake for dessert was like a twist on tiramisu. I enjoyed the flavor and that it wasn't super sweet. The Octupus in olive oil was just okay.
With a huge menu of delicious shareables and entrees it'd be easy to come here over and over again. I hope I'll have a chance to return.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 20, 2024
Ambiance: from the outside, it may not look like much but the inside does make you feel like you're somewhere else. It's fun but also feels comfy
Service: I wish I got her name but the service was amazing. It seemed like she was the host and server. She knew the menu so well and was super friendly.
Drinks: their cocktail menu was okay - didn't love their sangria that they make in house. But their lemonade was super delicious.
Food: the clay pot was okay - it's more interesting than tasty. The gulash was delicious! It's basically a beef stew with mashed potatoes. The bread with the egg was AMAZING. If i could have that everyday, I would. Stroganoff fries were also good. The mixed grill was okay - the sausage was good and the beef patty was aright - the tomato, pepper, eggplant paste was alright on its own but when you put it on the pita bread with everything on it, the flavors all blended well. It was the least touched plate amongst us.
I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for something different in town. Overall, food was great.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sioux K.Las Vegas, NV020956May 8, 2024Updated review
I'm so sad to see this closed! I didn't get to go as often as I would have liked but it was by far my favorite restaurant in LV. This is a loss.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 20, 2011Previous reviewBe warned - their online menu is not accurate and probably half of those things are not available anymore. This was really disappointing to me.
I was part of April's party and she clearly paid more attention than I did so I'll just add my 2 cents. We tried this place based on a recommendation from my Russian realtor.
I tried the stroganoff and it was ok - not the best I've ever had but it wasn't bad. Oh - and the rose nectar vodka - that stuff was good but man it packed a punch.
I tried some sort of dumpling thing (what April mentioned, I think) and it was *really* good. I wish I had ordered one of those just for me. I tried the bread side dish (the description was similar to bruschetta) but it was boring and overpriced.
That dessert plate the waitress brought with the pastries was excellent. Those alone are reason to go back.
The decor is weird - it looks like a bunch of tables taken from peoples dining rooms. And the artwork is really weird too.
Overall I liked this place. Its laid back and has current music playing in the background. If you're looking for upscale this is not the place to go. If you're looking to hang out and have some good food its worth a try. - Dec 11, 2023
I am a huge Triple D fan so I was pumped to FINALLY try this place out! Doesn't really look like much from the outside but once you're inside it is a cute bistro vibe.
I started with a cocktail, which was some garlic martini...yeah that was just staright infused vodka. lol I had our server bring over some extra olive juice becuase I was not having a cup of vodka that night. My friend ordered a caramel martini of some kind which was good.
We just ordered a little bit of everything. Loved the Pan Con Tomate Y Manchego, had such great flavor. Bacon wrapped dates were pretty solid and not small either. We split the Balkan Grill Master between three people and still had leftovers to take home. Loved the flavors off all the meat, the dips and sides. Everything paried so well together. The cheese bread boat thing was so good! I was honestly more excited to try that dish and it did not disappoint. Overall it was a great meal! Can't wait to go back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2023
YUM!
We finally made it here.
It's been on our list of places to try for a long time now.
So glad we did.
It doesn't look like much on the outside so don't judge a book by its cover.
Note ... It's in a strip mall with lots of parking.
You walk in and feel like you're transported to a quaint family run restaurant in a neighborhood of Europe. Not a strip mall in Vegas.
It's casual and welcoming. I love the different decor and different tables and chairs. It adds character and fun factor while feeling kinda homey.
The food is tasty!
We had the stuffed peppers, the stuffed calamari, the spinach puff pastry and the mixed grill plate.
We enjoyed all of it!!
The highlight for me was the stuffed calamari. WOW! It's different.... It's not light but it's not heavy.... It's full of flavor! I love the squid ink! And the key I think is the rice that pulls it all together into the perfect dish. The rice is so savory and with the squid ink is super delicious!!
We will be back soon to try more of the menu.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 14491591Aug 26, 2023
With this being our first time coming to this restaurant, we see the hype!
Ambiance - We came as a party of 2 when the restaurant opened at 5pm. The crowds came quickly after we sat down. The place is dainty and has a nice homey feel to it.
Service - Staff was attentive and came to check on us frequently. Food arrived quick and our server made great recommendations off the menu.
Food - We had an assortment of dishes, all of which were tasty. The Balkan grill master was delicious - it provides a great variety of meats, as well as bread, toppings, salad, and fries. Perfect if you want to try a bit of everything they have to offer! We also got the Adjarski Khachapurri which was cooked perfectly. The bread was made fresh, with a hint of sweetness and had an egg with an assortment of cheese. Our server recommended to try the date appetizer which was surprisingly good. The sweet dates and the saltiness from the bacon made a great combination together. Overall, I look forward to the next time I am here to try more items!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nick B.Henderson, NV23119316Dec 20, 2023Updated review
This incredible spot never disappoints.
They were able to accommodate a large group of friends on a Tuesday night. By the time we left, the place was pretty full.
The food is always on point and I even tried a few new dishes this time.
If you want an amazing meal, craft cocktails and gracious service...this is your spot.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 8, 2023Previous reviewWhat can I say about one of my go to best neighborhood bistro ever? Well, let me try...
The food, drink and service are their stars. The food is the freshest and most well prepared of all comfort foods I've tried outside of Europe.
Picking what I like best, is like trying to pick your favorite kid, Impossible! Ok, wait, I do have a favorite child, I mean dish. The Stroganoff Fries. How in the heck those fries stay so crispy with the aromatic flavor punch sauce? I don't know, but I could eat 2orders alone.
I also love their empanadas, salads, and butter cake. You can't go wrong with any dish here.
Service is too notch, chef owners Nina and Mimi are often on site and treat you as if you are a guest in their home.
Pack all that in, plus olde world cocktails, great selection of wines and a full bar..... I want to move in!
Run, Do Not Walk to Forte Tapas. - Jun 19, 2023
I was very excited to eat here since I've never had anything like it. When we arrived the waitress told us to sit anywhere we wanted since it wasn't too busy (yet). She was very friendly and helpful and was the only person serving like 10 tables by the time we left. The waitress was not just the server but she was the also the bartender and my guess is that there was only one cook in the back. As the restaurant got busier, she neglected to get us out of there quickly. When we asked for the bill it took her about 20 minutes more for us to settle it. I know this wasn't her fault but I just want you to know that if you eat here, you must be very patient.
Many tapas choices that were flavorful and fresh. My biggest complaint are the portion sizes. For example, the bacon wrapped dates came in a set of 4.. and they were pretty small sized dates. The cheesy bread thing was very good and sizable enough for the 3 year of us to share. The salad was pretty small so there are inconsistencies on what is considered shareable and what is really just enough for one. We spent about $70 and only had 3 items. We were still hungry but didn't want to wait any longer than we already had so we decided not to put the waitress through anymore distress.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 2023
I came to try Eastern European food after a short day from work and came solo. Cute atmosphere.
The server was kind and asked if I would like to sit at the bar or table. I didn't wait too long for my order and there were a few tables that were filled on a Friday around after noon. The service was quick and the server was attentive to her tables. I ordered the Borsht and stroganoff fries which was recommended from a friend. I enjoyed the flavors and would be back to try more.
Great place to enjoy Eastern European tapas and drinks with friends in a late afternoon, or take a date. I would be back around that time to bring a friend.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
