Food Lion

Visited this location to pick up a few items and was surprised at how lowly stocked the store was. Most of the sale items such as frozen chicken and yogurt were not stocked. After speaking with an associate he informed me that the yogurt was completely out of stock. The one highlight was my cashier and I regret I didn't get his name but next time I go in I will update my review with it. Anyways he was very friendly, bagged my groceries CORRECTLY, which is a big deal to me. Cold with cold, dry with dry.

And I may add grocery prices are ridiculous these days. $200 barely got me 10 bags of grocery.

A quick visit as I don't live in Raleigh, but some snacks and drinks for the hotel room are always in order. The store is in good shape with bright lights and wide aisles. Everything certainly seems to be in order.

Produce department isn't huge but it has a good selection. Deli is nice though also not very large. Do they slice meats to order? I can't tell. Big beer and wine selection and the frozen section goes on for miles.

They had enough registers open for the number of customers shopping today. Parking lot was tidy and the carts had all been brought in.

It's Food Lion good place to shop for non perishables and key items to save money but I do not enjoy homeless people waiting outside the door when you leave to beg for money or the shopping carts left by customers In Handicap parking

One of if not the only reason they are even in business is because they're pretty close to NC state student apartments. I only go there because I live literally 30 seconds down the road.

That being said I NEVER go here for fruit. Their veggies aren't bad but the fruit is always very low quality and molded/ rotten in some places.

I had this cashier Alexis today who was very obviously not happy to be there. Look, I get it. It's probably a side job to pay the bills while in school or a way to make ends meet, but you don't have to be a bitch. First off she was handling my groceries like they were invincible. Please be a little more careful with meat and eggs please. Then I was just trying to make casual conversation and she completely ignored every word until I shut up. When I was getting cash back she counted the change wrong. She gave me back 75 instead of 60 so I said hey i mean I'll take it, but I think you have me an extra $15 in a very joking tone. She looked at me and said very rudely "NO." And snatched the money out of my hands and moved on.

I work in customer service and I know how bad it sucks to get these reviews. But if I had an employee treat a guest that way I would want to know, and if I were a guest coming to shop here I would want to know what I was getting into before I left.

This is my go to grocery store since it's convenient to where I live. The customer service here is random. I've concluded that the customer service is better during the morning hours until 4 p.m. It could be due to the maturity level of the workers. The afternoon shift consist of the younger workers who doesn't provide quality customer service. I make a stop at least once a week for groceries.

I've never been shopping anywhere that most of the people are just so kind and helpful. They always remember us and when my family goes in without me, they ask how I'm doing. The store is always clean and the prices are unbeatable. Absolutely love this store.

I come here every so often since it's close to my work. Customer service here is terrible. Today, there was an employee smoking a cigarette right by the entrance. If you want to smoke during your break, that's fine but go somewhere else aside from the entrance. Their cashiers don't greet you, they look like they hate working/being here. No hello, thank you, or bye. They are like machines just scanning products and talking to each other while customer stands in front of you.

This is the WORST store EVER! The cashiers are so rude! If it were not for the customers these rude individuals would not have jobs! There is one particular cashier that is so condescending! Is this store so desperate for employees they hire such terrible staff? Not to mention there is theft going on all the time. Not a safe place to shop. In the parking lot there are people always asking for money too. Terrible store and over the years of living in this area this store has only gotten worse!

There are always several check out lanes open and friendly employees waiting to check out customers. I enjoy the personable customer service at this store.
