Boyfriend and I came here because I had never had Five Guys before. We ordered online and arrived to the store about 2 minutes after the ready time we were given after we had placed the order. We ended up waiting 10 more minutes because we were told that they were just waiting for the fries. We ordered 2 burgers, a large and small order of fries. No other customers were waiting for their food or inside ordering food, so having to wait an extra close to 15 mins for our food when we ordered online was a bit disappointing.
The food was amazing. The fries - on point. The burger - tasted like a very clean, tasty burger. I really like that you are pretty much building your burger making it exactly how you like it. I will definitely be back because of how good their food was. I mean, why have I never been here before?! Haha
I took only 1 star away because as disappointed as we were in having to wait longer than planned, we didn't know if they were busy fulfilling other online orders as well. I am hoping to be back soon to update my rating.
Anyways, if you have never tried Five Guys burgers, what are you waiting for?! It's super good and worth all of the hype!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Maria R.Whittier, CA647035Dec 20, 2020
Love the burgers and the fries, but there is one little thing. There is way TOO MUCH SALT on the fries. There was just a lot for a human to digest. If anyone likes that much salt on their food, they are Ingesting way too much sodium for the body which is just purely unhealthy. Please lighten the salt, a reasonable amount. This bag here is after I have shaken the bag to try and reduce the amount of salt that was on the fries, but it was still quite a bit. Just a little note :) best burgers though!

This review is solely for the cheeseburger. This was my first time at Five Guys, and having experienced the quality of burgers at In n Out, Shake Shack and the Habit, my expectations were fairly high. Glad to say that my cheeseburger far exceeded these expectations. The patty was just so dam juicy I was instantly transported to burger heaven. And they give 2 patties! The grilled mushrooms were soft and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place, their burgers are top 3 in my opinion!

$8 for a cheeseburger!!!!! In-N-Out double double is like $4 and tastes better.
So with that said, burger is really good and so are the fries. Really the cost is what kills this place as it was $17 for 2 burgers and a fry. Also the lack of a kids meal also is why I don't bring my kids as they only eat their burgers plain.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 8, 2017Previous review$8 for a cheeseburger!!!!! This location is not closed. Placed an online order for 8 people/meals. I was in a hurry and didn't have a chance to check before leaving but when I got home I was happy to find a 100% accurate order! Very friendly service as well :)

Tried 5 guys for the first and last time today. Service was fine but almost $19 for a very dry overcooked bacon double and over salted burnt fries w/a small drink??? Jokes on me.
If I want to spend that much on a burger meal I'll go to FATBURGER and get the XXXL w/fries and drink. That burger is the best in SOCAL, forget those tiny in and out burgers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 392181230May 25, 2017
I still prefer In N Out to 5 Guys, but every now and then I like a change of pace. This place was clean and staff was friendly. I ordered my burger with everything, lettuce wrapped, and tried a hot dog as well. The burger was great, but the hot dog was messy wrapped in lettuce and not cooked all the way. Next time I'll skip the hot dogs and get my burger done animal style.

My son said 5 Guys was really good. I'v lived in Costa Mesa 67 years & have never been here.
I had lunch here today & the fries were really good & my small burger was delicious. It was better than any fast food burger I've ever had!!
I'll be back when I want another burger.
