I was in the area to go to another restaurant down the street but the wait was too long. So I was about to leave the area until I saw Fat Boiz. I decided to try it and was so glad I did. My friend later joined me and we sat at the bar. Immediately received water and our order of fried chicken and sweet potatoe souffle' with brocolli was excellent. I will come back with my family and try a drink next time. Thank you for great customer service!

I ordered the salmon cheese grits and it was good !!! Lots of food so I had to take some home. I also ordered the red velvet waffles for the next day.
I had the mac and cheese and it was just okay it was a little dry. For the nonacholics the lemonade with peach and mango was also very good !!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - LaLisa B.Gray, GA32012Apr 21, 2024
This was our 2nd visit to Fat Boiz. The 1st visit was fine - great food-great service.
Our 2nd visit was less than 10 days from the first and it was NOT favorable. The waitress took forever to come and get our order. When she finally came I ordered the catfish dinner and hubby ordered the conch. She left and came back with our drinks. We waited about 20 minutes , and she came back again and said they were out of conch. The restaurant was not very busy so we wondered why it was taking her so long to check on our table. Now by this time we were expecting her to be bringing out the food. Hubby placed an order for the fish and grits. We were both bewildered as to why it took her so long to let us know they had no conch. She left again. After 25 minutes we decided to leave, as we were getting up she appeared with the food. I immediately knew that my food had been sitting under a warming lamp til they could make his meal - the rice and grits on my plate were both cold. The broccoli was tepid. I asked her to bring fresh rice and she did. We ate - his food was fine. As we paid the waitress apologized. Had we gotten the same service and food on our first visit we would not have come back.
I don't think we will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ronald W.Worthington, Columbus, OH18282Feb 15, 2024
First time at Fat Boiz, really enjoyed it. I had the wings dinner and my wife had the "perfect chicken" sandwich. She was very impressed with it, definitely try the bourbon barbecue sauce on that. The wings were super crispy, double fried which is the way to do it.
There were about a dozen other things we wanted to try so, for sure we'll be backHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 13, 2024
Ok I'm late with this review...but they say better late than never. Ok where do I start...let's start with the service, it was A-1! I was greated Immediately and seated right after. I can't remember my servers name but she was kind, familiar with the menu, and gave recommendations. I did go on a week day so it wasn't crowded. She recommended the Rum Punch, I will say I wasn't crazy about it but it did what it was suppose to do lol. I started with the Crab Fries, to die for....yummy! For my entree I, I had the Fried Lobster and Berry Waffles. The space was simple but clean, I did not use the restroom. If you are ever on the Southside or want to talk a ride for a bite to eat...GO!!

Celebrated my friend's birthday at Fat Boiz and it was a hit! Keisha's service was top-notch, adding to the great vibe of the evening.
The wings and salmon were delicious, and the broccoli was seasoned just right. But those crab fries? Seriously good stuff!
The restaurant is clean and there was no wait when we went. Parking is easy you just pull right up to the restaurant when you get to the plaza. (The plaza next to 2 eggs in McDonough)
The bartenders are AMAZING bc babyyyy that Long Island was top tier!
Already planning a return visit to try more from their menu. Fat Boiz definitely nailed it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 20213470Sep 27, 2023
Decent little spot. Went for a quick brunch during a road trip. Service is not that fast so I don't think I would recommend going for a "quick" anything. Lol.
Lakesha was our server. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to provide recommendations.
Ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were a little too thin which caused them sit in the oil when presented to the table. The seasoning was not bad and the breading remained intact until the last few which were directly on the plate.
I also had the Grits, eggs and bacon (forgot the name since we used the QR code for the menu). Grits were also seasoned well and didn't need anything of you want them plain. Bacon was cooked nicely and appeared to be thick cut. Eggs was just eggs nothing special.
Overall a good experience but the time from ordering to receiving the food could improve.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 27, 2023
Visited on a Friday morning after an appointment in the area. I had seen them on tik tok and knew it was black owned and suggested we check it out.
They were fulfilling some to go orders, but other than that there were no customers. We were seated, given plastic utensils, and we reviewed the menu via the qr code on the table.
We were brought waters and asked questions about the menu. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. He ordered the chicken and waffles, classic with a strawberry creme topping. He got the Sweet Jones sauce on the side for the wings along with cheese scrambled eggs. I ordered the Gritz, Gritz, and More Gritz with salmon with the cajun sauce and spinach on the side and scrambled eggs. It also came with a biscuit which was a surprise. We then ordered 2 mimosas, strawberry for him and mango for me.
It took some time for the food, but we were thoroughly pleased with the outcome. Presentation was beautiful and everything tasted delicious. The grits were creamy, salmon seasoned and cooked to perfection, scrambled eggs were flavorful, and the biscuit tasted homemade. Hubby enjoyed his food. Waffles were nice and fluffy and he said the chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly. Mimosas were good nothing exceptional.
Service speed needs to be improved but food was exceptional and highly recommend giving them a visit. They are also black owned.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
