I believe Fanboys used to be Stein Mart. The store was in nicer condition back then. Now, the inside has an unkept appearance and a musty smell with a grungy employee with a laid back customer service attitude.

There's a little bit of everything for the family. Comic books, storybooks, clothing, jewelry, wedding dresses, Vintage Barbie Dolls and even some inspirational merchandise. Most of the stuff is vintage and over priced however, it's nice to look around and take a trip down memory lane. You will have do the same someday.

they don't host yugioh or pokemon tournaments. When i asked about it, the employee scoffed at me and made me feel insecure for even asking. What kind of shop doesnt hold tournaments?

Nice store, staff not very welcoming. Lots of Funko pops which is what drew us there. I saw over 15 I would have bought but they use price labels that leave a sticky residue and don't come off easily without damaging the box. Most every place understands that box condition is key when collecting Funko Pops and they use non residue price stickers. It's also common that they put them on the plastic part of the packaging, not the cardboard. Rookie mistake.

I love this place!! My friend recommended it to me while we were at lunch, and I had no idea how much I'd like it!!
It was like walking through a dealer's room at a convention but also an antique store. I loved the eclectic selection and stumbling on little treasures throughout the store.
I'm very excited to go back and see what's new!

This is by far the best place for all your Pop, Pokémon and other collectibles. They have a wide variety collectibles and some custom made things, made by the vendors themselves.

Be careful. If you call them out for their horrible customer service, they'll just remove your comment and block you from social media. There's a reason they are continuously shutting down their stores.

do not vendor here!!! trust me when i say they will play games with you. we were vendors there for almost 3 years and when they moved locations they went downhill fast! they would give vendors their checks weeks late and give every excuse why the checks are not "ready". when in reality they are struggling to pay the rent on their buildings and are closing all other locations because of poor accounting practices. they withheld our checks for two months and gave us the runaround and when we finally pressured them they kicked us out and terminated our contract with them. ¡¡they kicked us out because they did not want to pay us the money we are owed!! they fire employees without warning . they do not provide security so your merchandise will get stolen and they will blame it on you. they will close your booth down without warning and will block your sales. they forget to write your sales on your books. the management team is unprofessional and do not care about their employees or their vendors. the owners are in way over their heads financially. i got everything documented to combat their lies just in case they try something. for the love of god do not vendor here!!!!

Great use of the space vacated by Charming Charlie's, between the Tom Thumb and the Starbucks at Hulen and Bellaire. As one reviewer noted, the booths are a little heavy on Funko Pop figures, but there are some other interesting collectibles, toys and other knick-knacks. The owner is a very nice guy, keeps a clean store and there's plenty of hand sanitizer to utilize in between browsing.

Plenty of parking in front of the store. Pricing of the items is decent, about what you'd pay on Ebay but without bothering with shipping or waiting to get your stuff. They could use more variety but at this point they need more vendors to lease space...maybe a booth that has vinyl or sports cards / pokemon cards?

I'll be back to see what's new from time to time - nice place to browse for 30-45 minutes.
