Eric Meeks School of Golf

I'm a beginner golfer, and I had a GREAT lesson with Cameron Meeks!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Eric Meeks School of Golf.

I tried watching some YouTube videos, and I'm sure there is some good advice out there, somewhere, but I figured having someone explain the basics to me then watch me and give advice on what I should change, was worth the investment.

Cameron was professional, knowledgeable, personable, and most importantly - patient.

I just had a lesson from Shane Madden and I'm a very happy customer!

A little backstory... I initially did a private lesson with someone, whose name I can't remember, at Coronado Golf Course many years ago and I had a bit of a bad experience. I left feeling more frustrated than I was when I first started because I was unable to hit the ball, even once, after following the techniques that I was taught. I was instructed to keep my arms as close to my body as possible and in doing that, I was unable to swing through because NEWSFLASH! I have rather large breasts blocking that pathway... HELLO!!!! I kept trying to tell the guy but I don't think he could relate, LOL, and surprisingly told me to stay the course with the "keeping my arms close" nonsense. After my first lesson lesson, I became convinced that I would never be able to golf because I have boobs and gave up the sport entirely, chalking it up to be something that was not for me.

Fast forward to now, I decided to give it another go. I met with Shane and he broke everything down in a very simplistic way and what d'ya know!? I was able to hit the ball right away. What a difference having a great instructor makes!

I would highly recommend hiring Shane for a private lesson. He turned something that was frustrating and seemed impossible to learn, into a sport that I look forward to learning more about. He is a great teacher! Can't wait to take more lessons from him soon and start kicking ass at golf!

We are committed to Coach Meeks for weekly lessons with 30 min drive every Saturday morning for 7:00 am lessons. You maybe able to can find a coach who can teach you good swing. With Coach Meeks, you will learn way higher level of golf...about competition, special shots, mental game and world class short game. He teaches you with passion and love! I'm a 58-year-old lover of golf. I was a single digit handicap but have had a struggle returning to form after recent cancer treatment. I took an $80 lesson with Shane Madden on 11/6/15. He videotaped me hitting a few balls, gave me a little info about his background then began instructing me on what I needed to change. Oddly, he never had me hit another ball throughout the rest of my lesson. He promised to send me videos showing my bad swing and what my swing looked like after he fixed it. My round the next day may have been the worst I have ever had. Shane had me in a position so far off the ball that I could hardly make contact. It was frustrating and embarrassing. After several requests I finally received a video of my bad swing but nothing showing my "fixed" swing. Shane seemed like a very nice man but I could not recommend him.

Renovated TaylorMade center, nice instructions at a great rate. Master level instructions from Eric is nice esp for juniors who strive for greatness. He has played in PGA and was on the Ryder Cup team. He shares with the kids his passion for golf. The summer camps are very good and offer value. He also has private instructions for adults. Nice place to get your clubs and get a lesson. Junior golfers here are better than most adults given the lessons they have with Eric Meeks.
