The food was average. We thought it was going to be more Mexican authentic. We also weren't aware that they only sold tapas at 3pm. The service was a little slow for not being busy.

Oh my gosh! This place is fantastic! It was recommended by a recent guest and we decided to check it out this evening for dinner. They do take reservations, but being that it was a Wednesday, we didn't think it necessary and we were so wrong! We got there around 6PM and ended up having a thirty minute wait. They were super busy!

This place is located a block away from the historic Whiskey Row and has an ample amount of seating both inside and on the outside patio. A section of the patio is covered and appears to have a view of Granite Creek that runs along the side of the restaurant. Thick plastic shades were down while we were there but it was a crispy 58 degrees outside. Thank God for the outdoor heaters and the overall coziness of the dining area.

There is an extensive menu of tapas and many dinner entrees to select from. We started with an order of deep fried artichokes, which were served with a Horseradish Aioli. I thought they were okay, but couldn't really taste the artichoke. My husband devoured most of them! For our dinner, I already knew what I would be ordering (plate recommended by our guest) and somehow the three of us ordered the same dish! I had the Cilantro Chicken with Penne and my husband and friend ordered it with shrimp instead of the chicken. Let me tell you, this dish was more than amazing! It was a good size serving and was creamy, hot, and overall, perfect! We all enjoyed our choice very much. I was unable to finish my entire meal, but had it packed up to go. Dessert was not happening for me, but my dessert-loving husband ordered the cheesecake and devoured that too!

Our server, Brianne, was super friendly and very outgoing. She made sure we had refills on our drinks and was very attentive the entire time, despite all the customers. We truly enjoyed our evening and will be having dinner here again! I highly recommend eating here!

I dropped in at random, mostly because of the name.
They have really cool patio seating, very good food, and quite friendly wait staff. One of the ladies that worked there actually gave me some helpful advice on neighborhoods (I am house hunting)
I had a salad and sandwich, I forget which because it was a month ago or more, but the food was good.
They also have a decent selection of beers/wines.
After I move to Prescott I will make it a point to drop by often.

Third visit, this time we wanted to introduce our friends to this amazing restaurant.
First off, seated right away, warming greeted by the hostess, gave us a heartfelt warm greeting " We are so glad you are here!". Our guest was impressed by this and said how nice it was to be greeted so sincerely.

Here's what we ordered: Crab cakes for an appetizer , and they were outstanding. Crab cakes are my husband's favorite and these were probably the best we've ever had.
Friend ordered the Blackened Salmon Salad - delicious! She is a petit lady with a corresponding small appetite but she ate every last bit of the salad.
Other friend ordered the Mediterranean Nachos, they were equally delicious, so good he had a hard time sharing : )
Husband had the Santa Fe Shrimp, just as amazing and flavorful as the other dishes. Incredible.
I had the Portabella Pita. Scrumptious. Truly.

Overall, this was one of the best restaurant experiences, ever. The prices are reasonable, well, more than reasonable. A truly good value.

Ambiance was good, we sat outside, it was nice and warm.

In ending, I love this place so much, looking forward to going back. As a matter of fact, we talked about how great it was for a week.

To all the staff, servers and cooks, thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant offering a wide range of food. Many items bring visions of Europe.
Staff are friendly, more like family.

We stumbled on El Gato Azul (The Blue Cat) on our visit to my little getaway town of Prescott. The welcome by the hostess was underwhelming which I hated because the rest of my visit was a ten star review so I hope this gets fixed. I'm not sure why this important aspect of a restaurant is not paid closer attention to. If you come to my house for dinner you will get a smile and a welcome from me the second I open the door so why don't restauranteurs ensure and enforce their hostess stand to do the same? I dunno?

Food and service was wonderful. A multitude of tapas available and when goat cheese anything is on the menu? It's usually a winner. We sat outside creekside under little twinkling lights. I'm for sure coming back and hopefully the grouchy, annoyed, old lady hostess will have a smile on her face. Maybe she was having an off day? Let's fix this.

I don't understand why this place has 5 stars. My experience with this restaurant was pretty disappointing. I ordered the tri-tip with Mac and cheese. The meat was super tough and pasta was way too salty. I asked our server if I can get a softer pieces to replaced the ones I have. I was so hungry and while I was waiting, I ended up eating the Mac and cheese. He came back be brought two small pieces of meat which are equally tougher pieces. I really want to like the food but I just cant't. When our server asked how my meal, I told him the truth, I was terrible and made a condescending comments. I wasn't asking for a free meal. I just an acknowledgment and maybe they won't serve that food to any of their customers. It just a matter of time. Never again.

If you've been craving paella, you've found the place! 10/10 paella. Ambiance was beautiful and the restaurant is just above a creek that you can walk along. The staff was lovely, so kind and had the best recommendations! The menu is tapa style so be sure you have an appetite when you come so you can order a few! Overall loved it & will totally be back next time I find myself in Prescott

      Updated review

We drove up from Wickenburg and and met a friend who recently bought a place in Prescott. There were five lafor lunch and for four of us, it was a new experience.

We were warmly greeted and our friendly server brought our drinks out quickly. We ordered: Dancing wrap, southwest turkey wrap and smokin' granny quesadilla. We all agreed that everything was so delicious!

Five stars for great food, service and atmosphere.
