El Barco Mexican Cantina

I was hoping El Barco would be good and it didn't disappoint! We ordered the margarita flight (pineapple, strawberry, and watermelon) along with a cucumber margarita to start, and they were all fantastic! The cucumber was definitely my favorite, but they all were very good. We also ordered some chips and salsa (the salsa was definitely the lowlight, it tasted like it came out of a bottle and wasn't fresh), and some al pastor and carne asada tacos (both were excellent). I also tried the ribeye taco which was fine, but the al pastor was definitely the star of the show. Service was great and the restaurant still has most of the charm of The Olde Ship.

I definitely will be coming back again soon, it's nice to see something finally open up in this location!

Went to El Barco around 12:30 and there were a decent amount of people. Service was a hit or miss. It started out really good then we couldnt find anybody.

No free chips and salsa. We ordered it though so I can have it with my margarita flight. I've had better free chips and salsa elsewhere. I say, skip and order somerhing else.

The margarita fligts weren't too bad. I wasnt a fan of the strawberry one. It seemed to have too much syrup for me. In terms of the food,
It was delicious. We had Mar Y Tierra and Ranchero Plate. Both of our steaks were cooked to our liking.

This is the first time I've been here since The Olde Ship closed, and new owners reopened as a Mexican restaurant.
I was pleasantly surprised at how the new owner left the original ambiance intact. All the beautiful hardwood, booths and the gorgeous bar that was originally brought over from the UK were still there.
I was impressed with the drinks! Amazing presentation, and they were strong and delicious. The server was attentive.
I only give it 4 stars...we ordered the Ranchero plate, the meat was tough and overcooked. I'd still go back for the ambiance and the drinks. Ill just have to try something else.

Ok place to come and get an appetizer or quick bite like tacos. Had the aguachiles and 2 tacos. The meat was good for the tacos de asada and Al pastor. The flight of margaritas was bomb, you can tell they use real fruit to make them, tamindo, pepino and watermelon.

Food, music, ambiance all amazing. The staff is amazing! Our first time here and we will definitely be back. Karina made this visit amazing and the food is fantastic.

My husband and I decided to El Barco . We were frequent customers of the old ship. I rarely leave yelp reviews, but tonight's dinner was fantastic. The rib eye tacos are a must, they are flavorful and unique. The guacamole was spot on, I am very picky about my guacamole so this one is a winner . I will be back on taco Tuesday. Our waitress Carina was so sweet as well as the rest of the staff

Awesome place, the food is amazing and the service is excellent! They had live band the ambiance was great!

Great service by Frank and Antonio. The steak and governadpr tacos were amazing. Service was great they are very nice and friendly. My hubby and I will definitely coming back: thank you guys for this great experience.

Service was horrible, waited over 5 minutes for someone to help us. I waived down a gentleman who informed me my waitress was too busy and he would take my order for drinks. I wasn't ready to stick around to find out how long she would take with my families food, so I left.

This was our first visit at El Barco. The tacos and margarita flights were amazing! Great atmosphere and attentive waiters like Karina :)
