Everything about the location was great. We were a party of three that went in for breakfast around 8am. We were sat fast and provided menus. Our waitress was extremely friendly. They offered drinks such as mimosas of different flavors and different kinds of coffees. There are many options for both breakfast nd lunch. The portions were large and tasted great. You could definitely bring home soke for later. As the morning continued, the restaurant did become more busy.

JUST THE TWO OF US
A peaceful, delicious Sunday breakfast with my wife egg-ceeded both of our wildest egg-spectations.
After spending the night in Rockford, we sought out a place nearby to grab a bite to eat before heading home. Eggclusive Cafe was the area's top result with a more-than-solid 4.2* rating on Yelp and a 4.5* on Tripadvisor. We asked for seating on their private outdoor patio, and they obliged.
My better half loved her lavender vanilla cold brew ($6) and later on, the strawberry-orange mimosa ($8). Their bloody mary ($9) was spicy enough for my liking, and it came with a skewer of pickle/celery/olive/lemon. They also have screwdrivers and morning mules, so all of the boozy A.M. bases are covered.
In an interesting turn of events, we flip-flopped orders. I've been a skillet guy my whole life, yet she was the one who couldn't resist the Mexicana skillet ($17): two eggs, chorizo, onion, jalapenos, cheese, sour cream, guac and salsa served over seasoned potatoes with tortillas. It got rave reviews, especially the potatoes (which she described as "magic").
I rarely order a combo (sweet item + eggs + meat) but on this morning I opted for the Cinna-bomb French toast combo ($15), and boy was I glad I did. The cinnamon swirl bread came with an incredible homemade cinnamon butter which gave the whole thing a VERY Cinnabon-esque flavor. It was nothing short of fantastic.
They asked if I wanted my bacon 'regular' or 'crispy', which is the first time I've ever been prompted for my bacon preference. And let's not forget their initials 'EC' stenciled out in powdered sugar on the pancakes and French toast (a masterfully classy touch).
Bread = 5
Circuses = 5
Service was great and the ambiance on their outdoor patio felt distinctly Mediterranean. To maintain the chill vibes, they have posted rules like what you'd see at a pool (no vaping, no running, no pets, etc). The stipulation that one "must order an alcoholic beverage" was a bit strange, though I imagine that's to discourage people from just ordering a coffee and sitting there.
After much thought, I honestly do feel that the "no kids" policy on their patio is a good call. As a dad to a 2yr old toddler, quiet breakfasts at home have become a thing of the past.... being able to enjoy a relaxing, uninterrupted meal without screaming, dealing with flying bits of food, or hearing incessant kids tunes in the background was wonderful. I cannot overstate how enjoyable our breakfast was.
* TL;DR *
From start to finish, dining here was a most egg-cellent choice.
Without knowing the area too much, I would say this is the best place around Rockford to eat before noon. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere delightful, and the company simply ravishing (love you, honey!)
Twenty million stars for Eggclusive Cafe. Would recommend to complete strangers on the street.Helpful 9Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 2023
Weird location, felt like an old Denny's. Menu could be pared down--by a lot. That said, food was great and so was the service. Ample parking, adequate parking for DP along with quick curb ramp to the door. The doors though, I believe were double sets of French style opening. So anyone in a chair or scooter would require a hand.
Prices are kind of steep for a breakfast joint. I can't eat gluten so in order to get something to complete my meal, it was a $3.99 up charge to fruit. No worries I guess. I get it. (They're not fully trained or operating for GF, so just be aware of that. While they accommodated my requests for GF, I did still encounter an issue later. Again, I knew the risk--nothing on menu listed GF.)
Overall, it was great. But I can't say superb and go 5.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 2 - Sue M.Loves Park, IL062109Aug 6, 2023Updated review
Another great visit to this restaurant. They specialize in breakfast foods with a lot of options. They also serve great mimosas and have a mimosa garden outdoor seating. Super service! Our meals were very good!
A bit on pricey side $$$$ but worth it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 11, 2022Previous reviewThis has been on my "must try"' list for some time and I finally made it. So glad we did! First of all, the staff were all masked and the restaurant spacious enough for separation. I started with a cranberry mimosa, which was amazing. I then had the stuffed strawberry french toast. I enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was very friendly and fast! Can' t wait to return. There's even outdoor seating for summer months.

Service was exceptional...waitress Mikaila was as sweet as could be...it's a little hire end but the food is as good as the service. Had the corned beef hash with eggs and French toast....everything was great (though I think the corned beef hash might have been premade canned....it was still decent though...will definitely eat here again

Sunday brunch day! Cute outside but literally surrounded by nothing but dealerships. Inside cute and surprisingly packed. Got seated right away. Waiter was also very friendly. Menu was cute and aesthetically made.
I ordered the Combo 3 with 3 pieces of french toast with nutella and strawberries, scrambled eggs and bacon. 7/10, the bacon was eh, and thick cut. Eggs were like mcdonalds eggs so not much flavor. Actual toast with syrup and strawberries and nutella was very good. Very favorable
Also ordered a vanilla chai latte, iced, 7/10. Drank the whole thing but it didn't have that original chai flavor I was looking for. The vanilla was there but it was weird.
Overall good place and pricing, I recommend.
Friends liked their food as well!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael E.Loves Park, IL081Apr 21, 2024
Small quantity very large price. 2 half orders of biscuits and gravy, 2 pops and 1 order of bacon for $40 plus tip. Never again!!! And the gravy was not very good on top of everything else.
