Eggs In Paradise

We had stopped here numerous times in the past for breakfast and sometimes lunch. My husband told me today that he will no longer frequent this restaurant. So many people -- standing room only. We left and went back a few hours later. My omelet was cold. No hash browns on the plate and I thought it was always accompanying an egg dish and you either had a choice of toast or a pancake. The potatoes should have been there. My husband's BLT was not good -- toast was burnt; bacon was cold. I had to wait several minutes for a refill of coffee. The waitress stood behind our table talking to other diners while she was holding our food orders in her hands! A very unpleasant experience to say the least. My birthday was yesterday and we wanted to dine out for breakfast today for a little extra goodness to start off the weekend. It was not a good start.

The food is good but the cinnamon rolls are terrible. I threw the cinnamon roll in the garbage it was so bad.

This place is a really good restaurant. To start things off, the food was pretty good and filling. Next is the service. It's okay, but nothing great. Last is the ambiance. It's pretty decent for atmosphere.

The place Is a little grungy. The food was just..ok. I had the comet pork tenderloin thing. My food was cold and the peppers and onions were pratically raw. The dish was very greasy. My wife had biscuits and gravy,the biscuits were not fresh at all. They were hard and her food was cold. Usually I clean my plate but I left about half of it. I avoided this place as they only accept cash but I finally had some cash on me and decided to give it a try. Maybe I will try it again.

The waitress (possibly the owner?) who waited on us was very polite, friendly and overall welcoming. I was rather put off by the energy of the other waitress. The breakfast food is a little high priced, but the quaint and mid-century modern atmosphere seems to make up for it. I did feel as if the hash browns were undercooked due to the abundance of them. The coffee wasn't the greatest thing. I would contemplate returning.

Went to Eggs In paradise for a late breakfast on beautiful Sunday. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and will add and substitute what they can upon request:) The food came out fairly quickly. The servers there were very polite and helpful. We ordered a lot of food for a low cost. I would definitely come here again. Thank you for the EGGSellent Service !

Service was fine. But the food was just plain bad. Breakfast, how could you screw that up? I wonder. I wonder how everything had a metallic taste to it? Some kind of cleaner? Did we scrub the grill and not rinse it? In any case, the food was bad. My son got sick later. Don't know if the sick and restaurant were connected. But we won't be back.

I am new out here in Dixon Illinois. I stumbled on this place just by accident. Let me tell you its the best restaurant !!! The food is fantastic!!!!! If you get a chance go to Eggs in Paradise in Sterling you need to go .. I promise you wont be disappointed..I've yet to find one thing that doesn't taste fantastic!! Go there if you get a chance.. Their breakfast is my favorite.... it is out of this world !! They know how to make an omelet..Its all fantastic!!

If you are concerned about health issues during this pandemic, avoid this place and many other who are simply not enforcing current health mandates. My health is not worth risking for a dining experience.

Top tier fries in Sterling, although that's not saying much. Unique onion rings. Solid soda. They don't accept cards(tax evasion). Would recommend.
