This place is not new but their Brunch Buffet is. Let me tell you for all the food you get it's worth it. Prime rib is their star and it is cooked just beautifully. Also at the carving table you will see pickled shrimp and salmon toast.
In the library you will have access to two types of salad, fried chicken, green beans, butter beans and a curry pasta that I thought was a broccoli casserole. Expand your taste enjoy the ambiance. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
You will not be disappointed. Don't be thrown off the $30 price. It is an adventurous buffet.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 30, 2014Previous reviewThis place is definitely different. Their menu changes constantly. What they do have on the menu is adventurous to say the least.
There are tons to chose from in Libations with craft beer among the choices.
There is literally a wall of beer to chose from.
The food changes but I have not had anything that I didn't like. So be open to try different items. - Patti U.Arden, NC02Jan 5, 2024
First let me say that my husband and I have always loved Edmund's Oast from its earliest days. So creative, so much attention to detail, so delicious! We made annual visits to Charleston prior to the pandemic and always visited Edmund's Oast and loved sitting at the Chef's Table, sampling their charcuterie and so many yummy things from their whole animal butchery approach.
Things have changed post pandemic, the original chef left, and in my opinion, not for the better. Staff are still attentive and gracious, but what came from the kitchen, meh. i ordered the shrimp toast which was greasy and I make better. My husband ordered the chopped liver and enjoyed it, butI thought it was lacking depth. As far as entrées go, I had the Mi Krop Salmon. The salmon itself was fresh and well prepared, although not hot enough when it came to the table. But the entirety of the dish was a total bomb, the crispy noodles more of a sweet blob and the bok choy was more of a flavorless afterthought (and I love vegetables!). The dish just did not work. My husband ordered the fried chicken only because our waiter said this was the chef's specialty, other wise fried chicken was not what we came here for. And it was good enough, as fried chicken goes, but nothing to bring me back.
We will miss you, Edmund's Oast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Janet L.Charleston, SC01May 18, 2024
My son had friends in town so I suggest Edmund's. My husband and I have been several times and my husband regularly purchases EO beer from our local grocery store. When he presented his ID, the staff told him it was fake. My son explained the SC DL came from the DMV that way. He was then heckled by other bar patrons and told he would not be served.
I called and spoke to the GM. I told him my son was there with friends that came into town and I was sad I suggested they go to EO. He reiterated the ID looked "fake". I suggested I text a picture of my son's passport to prove the ID was not fake. He agreed he would take the passport as proof. I quickly texted my son's passport to him to prove a point. They did eventually serve him because we proved he was of age.
Edmund's had the nerve to not even comp him one beer after they embarrassed him and had other patrons heckle him when they were WRONG.
This was a display of POOR customer service. I understand not wanting to serve underage patrons but when you embarrass someone, and other customers join in, and you were proven WRONG at least make it right! You couldn't even comp one beer for the scene you all caused??Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2023
Such a great atmosphere for lunch and dinner! I've only been here for dinner and ate inside but have seen how busy and packed their outdoor area is especially during lunch time. The service was fantastic - my waitress was friendly and sweet. Top notch service from everyone we encountered!
For food, the portion of my 4 piece chicken entree was definitely larger than I expected but always appreciated. The sauce was good but just a bit thick. The collards and pasta salad were okay, not a fan of those items in general. The fries were delicious!! Came out nice, crisp, and hot. Everyone else enjoyed their meals too and I will come back here again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3715391557Oct 29, 2023
This review is for outdoor Sunday brunch.
It's not bad but it's not something I'll crave either. Maybe we should've gone during normal hours for dinner. I've been for dinner inside before and was very impressed.
We got a few drinks (the best part imo), fries, Mac n peas, the artisan burger and the shredded pork po boy. And buttered noodles for the kids.
The drinks were good! The fries were basically like Arby's (although to be fair, I haven't had them in years). The Mac n cheese is curried, so while that's a fun twist for adults, it's a bomb for most kids probably, ours included. The artisan burger was fine, not bad, not great. Nothing special to it really. The po boy was good flavor, but again really simple. The hubs mentioned it would be nice If it had peppers or anything else with it.
The hubs did get 2 beers and I got one drink, but the total was like $96... it's just a lot for very average feeling food. We won't do the Sunday brunch again.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 13, 2023
We took the Charleston brewery trolley on Saturday to this location (definitely check it out if you haven't before!)
The beers we got were great and they had a wide variety of sours and ales to try! The service at the bar was great and the fried chicken salad was the perfect compliment to the beers we were drinking.
We wish we had found this place sooner as we would have visited a few times during our trip!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 30, 2023
I loved this place! I didn't get to try any food but the drinks were amazing. All of the beers were great and they have a full bar! The service was great! I asked for a blackberry whiskey sour (not on the menu) and the awesome bartender was able to middle up some blackberries and white it up for me. I was celebrating a friend's bday and I had an amazing time. It's also a great place for a photo op with its awesome decor! I can't wait to go back and try the food!

I'd heard so many great things about Edmund's Oast restaurant (I've been to the brewery) and was excited to try it this past weekend. I'd heard the burger and dessert program were amazing. The day we went, the restaurant inside was closed for a private party, so we had the somewhat more limited (but not that much) menu for the outdoor area.
The outdoor area is big and there's a variety of seating choices. I really liked the nice backyard vibe, and it's cool they share the lot (somewhat) with B&B. The line for the bar (where you also order food) is long, but moves quickly. One weird thing is that they have table numbers for food, so when you get to the front and order food, they ask which table you're sitting at. But if you're alone or paying separately, you can't wait at a table, and I wasn't sure what the culture call was on holding a table with your purse or whatever.
The service was great - they had a hostess outside even though the seating was first come first serve for people like me who don't ever know what's going on.
Anyway, we had heard so much about the burger so we got one. The Edmunds Oast burger is basically a classic burger with chopped onions and the works and we ordered a side of fries. After so much hype, I was really excited, but it really just tasted like a standard burger at a backyard cookout. I was pretty happy with that, but I did expect it to be on par with other restaurant burgers in the area. The patty was also cooked well done which I thought was a little odd. It wasn't tough or anything, but also not remarkable. The bun was well toasted ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The fries were good, but weirdly they looked different than the ones I'm seeing on Yelp. Maybe they changed them or something? But they were crispy and good, just basic, almost snack bar type fries.
We ordered a couple of their frozen drinks and they were delicious and refreshing on a humid day!!
I'm not sure if it was an off night for food, but I'll be back for drinks and to try dessert.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Feb 17, 2024
My wife and I got some time away from the kiddos and we wanted to find somewhere that had a good happy hour. We had originally stopped at the other location down the street, Edmond's Oast Brewing and the friendly manager was outside cleaning as we walked up. He let us know that it was closed for the evening for a private event. He recommended we come here, to which we were a little early for HH but I got a beer outside. Just as they were able to seat us inside, I got my beer. When we walked in, I was impressed by the ambiance. We sat at the bar and I enjoyed some fancy cocktails to go along with the fancy vibe. It was definitely a great spot to choose without the kiddos. The speciality cocktails were all half price, marking them at $8, which was a steal! Everything was really good and we are def going to have to make it back for a full dinner next time we are visiting. We're also going to have to try the brewery at some point. What a great spot!

It was a struggle to find a good beer here and even the porter was nothing special. Service was average. The food people were getting around us looked good but not impressed with the beers at all. Outside vibe was chill and comfortable at least.
