Dragon House

We ordered a hodgepodge of food for three people. We were pleasantly surprised at how fast a Saturday night delivery was. Great place to get traditional Americanized Chinese food. Same flavor as every Chinese food place we have ever eaten.

I ordered from this place last week and had the worst experience! The takeout consisted of Sweet and Sour soup that not good at all and Dragon & Phoneix chef special. The Chicken was fried so hard that it was not even edible. The Lo Mein was cold and hard and even after warming up in the microwave, it was still bad.

Threw the take out menu in the trash can after this horrible meal and waste of money.

Don't waste your time!

After moving to Dumfries from
MD I had a hard time finding a decent chinese restaurant, Dragon House is the only one in the area that actually tastes good. I have never gotten a bad dish from there and that's rare for me to ALWAYS be satisfied!

I give this place no stars due to a delivery gone wrong. I ordered 6 jumbo shrimp with fries, a steak roll, and a drink. I received 5 jumbo shrimp, no fries, steak roll, and a drink that looked like they filled the bottle themselves. I was charged $11. I called asking how could this be $11 dollars when you messed up my order. The ignorant woman proceeds to say they didn't charge me for fries and it costs $11 dollars to get delivery. So why didn't she say my entire order was $11 even, and not " your order is $7 and you need to add more to reach $11 or more". I would never pay that much for no freaking food. I told her I would never order from there again and would tell everyone in my court not to order as well. Waste of money indeed!

It's your typical Chinese delivery & carry out. Pretty good with no complaints (:

I ate here a little while back... I was on yelp checking out some other spots to eat at. Then I thought about places I did not like. Figured why not check their ratings. As I expected Dragon House has a terrible review.

I ordered from here because my company was buying my office lunch. I seen a few Dragon house menus in the break area and figured this must be a decent spot. Oh boy, was I wrong.. We ordered sesame chicken, orange chicken, and general Tso's (also rice's which is basic and ok)... How on god's green earth does all three taste alike???? No not just a little alike "JUST alike". It literally seemed like they put the same chicken in different containers. They may have spread some sesame seeds on the sesame chicken, put orange skin in the orange chicken and peppers in the General Tso's.

Pay close attention if you are considering this spot. It is not worth considering. Whoever the chef is deserves to get slap for disrespecting the art of cooking. I hope the owners of the restaurant are reading this!!! He needs to close up shop and go back to culinary school and try again when he learns how to cook correctly. Have some respect for your self and try again, hire another chef, get a new cook book. Just stop serving what you have been serving. If I had time I would go buy a cook book and take it to them. Maybe things would improve. Sometimes change is not done without a slight push in the right direction.

We only order from this restaurant!! We have been ordering carry-out from this restaurant for over 12-years. Never had a bad meal.

Honestly the place just was creepy to begin with. When you go in we had a boy who was about 8 sit us and get us our drinks. He was nice and super cute. We got Hawaii Beef; doesn't taste anything like anything. I wasn't impressed. The Broccoli and Chicken came out and I was happy it was the darker sauce but still there wasn't much to it. The broccoli was super hard. All in all it wasn't too bad I just wouldn't go back

Visited on a Friday during lunch. Arrived at 12:30 and we were the only people in the place. Should had been an indication. On our way to our seats the hostess/waitress asked us what we wanted to drink and led us to a mostly empty cooler that had a mixture of odd options, along with some food products. The food was ok. Not bad. Not good. Just ok. The bathrooms were dirty and the automatic towel dispenser in the men's room did not function. Overall the place looks like it needed a good cleaning. Would not return.

I've been to about 3-5 chinese food stores in the Woodbridge area and never felt that great about them. I rarely post reviews but this place deserves it. The food was simply amazing! I had boneless spareribs and the wife had chicken and broccoli. Also chicken wings which were the best I've had from a chinese place since back in my hometown. The rice was amazing. Not too much soy sauce and a nice golden yellow color. I ordered for pick-up and it was done in 10 minutes.I'm not sure how my experiences would be if I dine in, but the food alone will make it a 5 -star experience. The place was empty when I went to pick up my food which is sad since they're really good. There's a chinese place across the street (Great Wall) and it isn't as good as this one. This place is more hidden in a corner (probably why many people dont know about it. Recommend anyone to give it a try. Food will be one of the best in the area.
