Okay, I'll admit it's a bit weird to add a Dollar Tree location. However, to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised here with the combination of cleanliness and customer service. While I'm sure not willing to call it a 5-star experience, it's worthy of mention as every employee I met here was energized and friendly.
This is a new location. I'm not sure the exact date, however, I'm pretty sure it was within the last month. I was a little concerned as I know there's a small indie dollar store across the street in the Kroger strip center. However, this really is a good spot and likely to attract an entirely different target customer.
This is located in the strip center that houses George's Neighborhood Grill and several other businesses. It's right next door to La Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant & Bar. This spot used to house Best Flooring, though Best ended up moving into a different spot in the building. This is right at the end of the building. There are curb cuts and accessible parking spots available close by. There's a double set of doors at the entry, a bit weird but workable.
This really is your usual Dollar Tree for the most part. I think everyone knows by now that not everything here is a dollar anymore. There are also no trees here, though you might be able to find festive party trees.
Don't ask me what a festive party tree is.
This location accepts EBT, has a "Snackzone," has a Expressions from Hallmark section (discount greeting cards), frozen/refrigerated foods, and a Crafters Square. Selection includes:
Cleaning Supplies
Food & Drinks
Winter Holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas
Personal Care Items
Toys, Games, Puzzles & Books
Craft Supplies
Cooking & Baking Supplies
Dinnerware & Serving Essentials
The aisles were for the most part wheelchair friendly (not perfect but MUCH better than most Dollar Trees). The employees seemed very aware of accessibility and would move if they saw me coming with my cart. I only ended up buying a handful of items, however, I definitely saw things I could see myself getting in the future.
Again, if you're a Dollar Tree fan I'd consider this one of the better ones in Indy. The store was well-stocked, clean, and strong with accessibility for a wheelchair user (like myself). The employees were friendly and genuinely helpful. It's not often that a Dollar Tree experience makes me want to return, however, these employees genuinely were warm enough that I found myself thinking I'd easily return. I like this strip center as it has several businesses I like from a haircut at Great Clips to ice cream at Scoop Shack to a meal at George's or La Casa. I even like the Village Dove, a Catholic shop that has some great stuff. Now, I can pick up my everyday items at Dollar Tree - all without climbing in/out of my car.
I'll be back.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
