Really great food with a variety of options--I think anyone visiting London should try it. Portions seem small but are quite filling. Service is friendly and they are very meticulous about food allergies and intolerances. They even go as far as having separate menus for dietary restrictions. The environment is very busy with louder music and they light incense throughout the restaurant. I've been here many times and the quality is great every time!

My favorite dishes: chicken ruby, house black daal, mutton pepper fry, garlic naan, house chai

Amazing food and ambience in the Birmingham area. Very good service. We had mostly vegetarian dishes and all of them were excellent

Stopped by early on a Sunday morning for their breakfast! Pretty much right on top of the Covent Garden station, this Dishoom location is very easy to get to. We came here for breakfast right after opening at 9am on Sunday, and the dining room filled up quickly. Reservations recommended. Service was good, although slows as the restaurant gets busy.

I ordered the house chai (unlimited refills!), their famous naan with butter, and the big Bombay which was a great, unique take on the traditional English breakfast. Each component of the big Bombay was thoughtfully put together. The masala beans had a nice curry spice. I do wish they had some sort of black pudding which is typical of English breakfast. The house chai was spiced nicely and not too sweet with a spicy kick.

Overall, a great meal with the same consistent good service at all Dishoom locations. I appreciate that they're open for Sunday morning breakfast when most of London seems like they are resting.

I can see why there is always a line! A few things that stood out to me were the following: ambiance, service, and flavors. The restaurant is huge with both an upper and lower level. The lower level is dimly lit that gives a dinner feel while the upper level is bright from natural light and gives more of a brunch feel.

Service was attentive the entire time.

I got the following for food:
-CHICKEN RUBY (Tender chicken in a rich, silky makhani sauce): a heavy tomato-base that is creamy and infused with spices (I did think the tomato base was a little strong and overpowered the buttery nature, but being that I am no expert...I am speaking regarding preferences)
-TANDOORI ROTI (Wholewheat bread, delicately charred from the tandoor): portion was smaller than expected (semi-circle portion and was a little tough)

Hello mate thanks for following my journey to the uk. When I saw the line up the block like no joke, I know I must go in and check it out.
The line moves quick so don't worry. Mine was half the block and took 30 mins for a party of 2. The place is huge. They don't take reservations has lots of places do in london.

So we sat down and tried their hot tea and bless my heart it was so temperature hot and it hit the spot. Perfect for a chilly night in london with rain. No other way to enjoy hot tea.

CHILLI BROCCOLI SALAD - this was really good and refreshing to the palette when needed. As well I love the veggies and this is what's in the salad, listed below.
      (HALF PORTION)
Toasted pistachios and shredded mint leaves
with finest, greenest broccoli, fresh red chillies,
pumpkin and sunflower seeds, dates, lime and

order from midday until late at night. Best eaten
      with the hands.
DISHOOM CHICKEN TIKKA ROLL - this was really good and like a sandwich but a lighter version. Reminds me of Costco deli rolls, but of course more fancy. The flavor was there. It's a good filler food. Listed below is what it consists of.
Spicy charred chicken, lavish salad and
      tomato-chilli jam. (S) 10.50

GRILLED MALAI MUSHROOMS - these are addicting and easily just non stop after the first bite. Listed below is what it consists of.

butter, lime and masala. (V) 9.90

CHICKEN RUBY - ok the sauce is to die for. Drench it in everything. Mine as well I say use it to shower myself if I can lol. So good. Reminds me of a chicken Tikka masala dish. One of my favorite sauce dish in london from trying all these wonderful Indian restaurants. Even mama t. Agreed with me. Listed below is what it consists of.
Tender chicken in a rich, silky makhani sauce.

      flavour. 15.90

Overall I was going to get a few more items but the server say I was ordering too much for 2 but we did finish it all lol. London portion is smaller compared to USA so of course we can do it, but I used the opportunity for portion control lol. So it was great service and we enjoy our experience. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day. Follow me for more travel eats. Cheers mate!

This 2-level restaurant is massive and is situated in a perfect location near Covet Garden. The food was amazing. Wish I took pictures but I can highly recommend the Cheese naan. Ruby chicken curry, Lamb chops and Lentils.
The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very engaging and attentive. Ask for Rob, if you have a chance to request him (pictured here in my review).... He was fabulous.

Come early and be prepared to wait! The food is worth it. We started with okra fries and loved them- they came with a variety of sauces and had a slight heat. The house chai and old fashioned were great drinks to start with. We loved everything we ate - the chicken ruby with rice was my favorite. The black daal was rich and so good with naan. Service was quick and attentive. Beautifully decorated and good vibes

If you like Indian food you will love, love, love this place. We arrived around 5:30 and there was no line, by the time we left there were at least 100 people in line, unbelievable, a very popular restaurant. We personally thought the food was good but not great, mostly because we are not lovers of Indian cuisine. The service was good but being American, the British are very difficult to understand and we have such different names for things. We tried to order martinis with olives but that didn't work out too well. It's a very cool looking restaurant and it is enormous, unfortunately that equates to LOUD. My husband was sitting beside me and we had a difficult time hearing each other. I do understand why they have such great reviews and I highly recommend this restaurant but just be patient.

We were welcomed kindly. The ambiance is quite bustling and the noise level is loud. Even at off peak hours, this place was pretty crowded. The food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the chicken ruby. It's surprisingly on the milder side, even though our waitress said it's medium spice. The roti is phenomenal as the garlic naan. We also really enjoyed the dal. Overall, Dishoom is a spectacular Indian restaurant. Service is good and the food is amazing.
