Del Taco

When my coworkers were trying to sell me on lunch at Del Taco (which I hadn't tried before), they honestly weren't doing a great job. "It's like Taco Bell" I don't love Taco Bell "they have awesome chicken" I don't eat chicken "it's only 15 minutes away" we have much closer taco places, including a Taco Bell.

What I didn't expect was a clean and friendly place with a nice variety on their menu. As a first timer, I chose to try their birria quesadilla with a chocolate milk shake. The birria was actually really good, like so good I couldn't believe it was from a fast food place. And the consume was also awesome for dipping. The chocolate shake was spot on. It passed the bubble test (blow a bubble into a shake, it should puff up the whole thing a little and take at least a second to rise to the surface), and the thick straw was a huge help.

I'm honestly eager to try more of their menu at del taco. I've got a little more spring in my step knowing that they're out there making good food, and a little more confidence in my coworkers taste in restaurants now.

I had high expectations going into this because of how much my friend talked them up and they did not disappoint.

The food, I ordered the number one and a carne asada quesadilla taco. The tacos came filled to the top with meat cheese and lettuce. The shell itself was thicker than I expected and that made a huge difference when you compare to other places like Taco Bell.

The fries were crisp and the queso-taco, while I wasn't a big fan of it due to the outside cheese I didn't enjoy the taste of the carne asada.

Will eat again before I leave.

My husband grew up in Southern California and LOVES Del Taco. We live in Missouri now and only get to enjoy it on vacation. In Orlando this is one of our go-to destinations and it is consistently clean, fast, friendly, and delicious. Everything is fresh and filling. Our favs are the soft chicken tacos, crinkle cut fries, and a green bean burrito.

Ok so the location good, the restaurant appearance nice. The service on point. The food questionable. I ordered the steak quesadilla taco and the chicken version. There was nothing special about either. I wanted to really like the food but just couldn't get pass how bland it was. The chicken was ok had a little seasoning but the steak was terrible. I would definitely choose Taco Bell all day.

I had a free del combo beef and bean burrito thanks to t mobile Tuesday so as I happen to be there for Aldi next door, I decided to place the order. It was ready asap and the staff was very friendly. The place looked brand new and clean!

I had never been to Del Taco before and always assumed it was just a competitor in Taco Bell's image. When I saw this location carries a 4.5 rating on Yelp, it seemed like a no brainer because I was looking for something quick and easy.

I've given them a generous 4 star rating. The carne asada soft tacos I had were good. The steak had a nice flavor and was tender. It felt like the prices were very steep for what I got. The combo came with fries, but they were almost inedible. Overly salted and soggy disasters. I would have much rather had a third taco.

I did order a snack size strawberry shake. This was really good and I recommend. If I was to come back I might try something else that would give me a bigger portion size, and value for the cost. I would repeat, but I would not order the taco combo.

My daughter and I were out shopping, stopped in at Aldi a couple businesses away and I spotted the Del Taco. Yes I knew of Del in California, specifically San Diego and Oceanside, where I visited a lot from Tucson but never actually ate there. But I knew they were good from other people's rants. And I didn't have to talk my daughter into it since this place is within walking distance of her house. She was already very familiar with them.

I ordered the Beer Battered Crispy Fish Tacos meal which comes with fries. She ordered the Ranch Crispy Chicken Tacos. My taco was just a little bit spicy but other wise delicious. Then she gave me one of her crispy chicken tacos and it was the bomb! Way better than the fish taco and something I will definitely be going back for before I leave Florida.

She tells me there are only two Del Tacos in Orlando plus this one in Kissimmee. I think its worth a little bit of a drive out of your way. Their food is not comparable to other fast food places because it is so much better.

Finally! I'm so excited about this Del Taco location! Ever since I left California I'm home sick for some del taco! I literally grew up on del taco! My favorite is always the chili cheese fries and tacos,fish tacos! But let me tell you! Haha theu just got the Birria ramen and quesadillas!! I missed this from Cali!! And man it's good! It actually tastes like home!! What I'm used too! I was so excited I told my son in cali lol he said oh yeah I had that yesterday!lol.This is a new location with plenty of parking in Kissimmee close to walmart! Theu actually have a mobile order kiosk that looks like an ATM outside! When I walked in they even greeted me!I was so excited I ordered the Birria Ramen,Birria quesadillas and one hard shell taco of course! And it was perfect the ramen has that perfect flavor with lime and spicy,and the Birria quesadillas had a side of that consume that I love for dipping! It was a perfect balance and delicious spices.And of course you can't go wrong with the tacos I ordered a beef hard shell taco loaded with cheese! My favorite. Everything was so nice,modern and clean! Great job del taco Kissimmee I will definitely be back!

This is my 3rd try giving Del Taco a chance . The first two issues was due to temperature issues which i relayed to the manager . He tried to offer me free tacos but that's not why i called . I genuinely like Del Taco and they were so good when they first got here in Kissimmee . But today is the last straw . I found hair in my tacos . Aside from the order being completely incorrect i still tried to make it work but HAIR ?! And they wanted to try to remake my order lol terrible service . I asked for the corporate number and a big male identified himself as the owner . He told me to call the number on the receipt or come inside . Yeah no . I'll just write a review . Do better . Lost a consistent consumer due to trash

Also - he didn't wanna give me corporates number . So if you run into this issue. Just go through deltaco.com and contact them directly with your complaints . Not slick

First time here after watching a Mr Whoo You Tube video on it. He compares their tacos to Taco Bell.....wow what a difference these tacos are! I also ordered a beef & bean burrito, all was amazing!! Too bad we don't have one of these in SWFL!
